    Great insights. I’m seriously looking at a 2022 Rally for my wife and I to do some exploring. I lost my left leg last year and from what I’ve seen these things look like they could safely get me back exploring our wonderful planet. Need to get a tester and go. Am concerned as to why all the preloved ones have really low mileage? Seems folks get bored with them? Like what’s the guts?

      Thank you so much and I appreciate you taking the time to watch the video, means a lot. :) I am sorry to hear about your loss but I think that's awesome you aren't letting it stop you. I think the Ryker would be perfect for y'all. Honestly I really don't know mine was the same way, 5k ish miles but well taken care of. It's the Rotax 900 ACE like in some seadoo models and a CTV transmission so nothing crazy. Your guess is as good as mine but I can tell you almost two years and 2600 miles later I still love it.

    I agree, the fuel mileage should be much higher. I own a Harley Davidson Tri-Glide with the 114 C.I. engine, (somewhere over 1850cc) and I always ride with my wife, so that's her weight plus mine and it gets right around 40 MPG. My Toyota Corolla gets 42 MPG. I would think the Ryker with it;s smaller engine and lighter weight would het closer to 50 MPG, but it doesn't.

    • @adventureswithcombs
      @adventureswithcombs  Год назад

      So I have actually been running some octane booster through the Ryker as well as running the bike and eco mode and I have noticed about a 3 and some change mpg increase so it does help. Regardless I still love mine. Stay safe out there y'all and thanks for the comment. :)

    BRP should have put a single gear change between the CVT and rear. I'm certain they could make one fit in the rear swing arm somewhere. If it had 1 Gear for low speed below 45 say and a second overdrive gear for over 45, it would lower the rpm range of the engine and it would get twice the millage probably. I really wish they would do that. It would be such a better vehicle for it.

      Would that stop the hesitation in the shaft drive?

    • @newmonengineering
      @newmonengineering 2 года назад

      @@aidenandspkary2429 no, the hesitation is caused by the cvt grabbing on the belt. In neutral (idle) the belt can not be engaged, when the rum goes high enough centripetal force causes the belt to engage. But if they put a single gear in the rear shaft the RPM of the engine would be less on the highway. It would also likely increase MPG as well as raise the top end max speed. If they made the gear around the 40mph mark you could Rev to 40pmh then change gear once and any speed over 40 would have significantly lower MPG. And less whine engine noise.

    • @adventureswithcombs

      So you would just have to find a Can-Am dealer in New York and that's where you would take it to. It uses a lot of the same components that the Can-Am off road units use so the dealerships will be able to work on both.

      I have a 22 rally and its a bit tricky to get a true mpg with the “dead zone” in the tank. I took a road trip (7 hrs on the bike) did the math and got 39mpg in eco on the rally. By the way that trip convinced me to get the bags from slingmods. Love my ryker. Great vids btw

      So basically most states consider it a trike so they will give you a 3 wheel endorsement which is cool in most states but a handful want you to have both 2 and 3 wheel. Kentucky is a great example of this. I just have the 2 wheel endorsement but Ohio is cool with that. Hopefully that helps. :)
