- To succeed as a tech and data professional, technical skills are insufficient. They are the bare minimum required for entry into the field. But they will fail to grant you the respect, impact, and promotional opportunities you desire for your career.
Leadership skills like communication, presentation, and storytelling are what you need to succeed. And it is those skills that I teach in my communication course “Communication Lab”.
My unique teaching philosophy is this: “soft skills” should be taught the same way as technical ones: using a logical structured methodology consisting of formulas and practice. With this process, I’ve helped thousands of tech professionals gain confidence in their voice and reach new heights in their careers. To learn more, check out my website here: thehiddenspeak...

About Me:
I’m Christopher Chin, and I help tech professionals become confident speakers and leaders.
Does this sound familiar:
You put together slide decks but your audience doesn’t react well to them?
You’re great at researching, coding, and analyzing. But don’t know where to start with speaking up in meetings and giving presentations?
You’ve been stuck in your career, unable to get the promotions you deserve, because your managers say you need to work on communication skills?
The truth is communication, presentation, and storytelling are not “soft skills”. They are extremely hard to master yet crucial for success in business and leadership.
I created this RUclips channel and my Hidden Speaker training programs to address exactly those challenges. This is not just any communication course. This is communication for tech professionals by a tech professional. If you're looking for self-paced content to overcome anxiety, speak with confidence, and know how to structure a killer presentation, you’ve come to the right place.

I'm Chris, leadership communication coach for tech professionals. I quit my tech job and started this business for one reason: I was tired of building products and staring at numbers on the screen. I wanted to start building people and see them rise to their full potential. Too many tech professionals I knew were absolutely amazing when it came to technical ability. But reached a ceiling in their career because of lack of communication training. One data engineer I knew wasn't promoted for 15 years because they lacked the communication skills required for leadership. Another product manager I knew was let go from their job because they couldn't clearly concisely and confidently communicate as required by their position. It's time for that ceiling to come down. My mission is to help every tech professional demonstrate leadership through confident communication and I do that through a three-step process. First I start here. Because you can't speak confidently if you don't think confidently. One pitfall I see many tech professionals fall into is rambling out of nerves or not speaking at all because they're petrified. What I teach therefore is how to overcome the beliefs that might be holding you back: how to better frame and organize your thoughts so you come up with something powerful to say every time. Second we move here. Even if you think confidently, you may not feel confident if you don't look or sound confident. What I teach therefore is executive presence: how to present like the leader you want to be. How to present so people say, "Oh wow that person knows exactly what they're talking about. I want to present like that one day." I teach you how to use your voice and body language to translate your powerful thoughts into powerfully delivered words. And third we finally move here: content. Even if you think confidently and present yourself confidently how do you finally feel confident? What I find unfortunate about how a lot of communication is taught and perceived is it's just an art: something you're born with or somehow stumble upon. What I teach is it's a science.
