North Indians cannot speak south Indian language but southies can understand Hindi and speak Hindi. It really speaks volumes of the tolerance level in south and the way they are willing to accommodate others.
Not only Hindi, many can understand Punjabi, haryanvi and we also thoroughly enjoyed their music as well, don’t know how many people from there really want to learn about South Indian languages and culture

Rice Is a trademark, similar to Dindigul Thalapakatti biriyani. They also use their own village rice (similar to this one). Hence these are better than most basmati ones.
SouthIndian language is very easy to learn..tip no 1. buy a canned beans tin..no 2. empty it and cook with great ease.. no 3. wash the tin thoroughly..no4. now go out fetch few pebbles if possible go to the sea beach and collect them with grt. care, be playful with them while coming home, no.5 chk the tin , if dry then put the pebbles in it. 6.close it with dish or say a well fitting lid.....and finally SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE... THE SOUND WHICH COMES OUT IS NOTHING BUT THE SOUTH INDIAN LANGUAGE.. THE FINAL PRODUCT..NULLA IRIKAY.. AAPADIYAAAAAAA...😁

it's because of the soft power of the Bollywood . After the release of Chennai express northerners could easily understand some basic Tamil.
