As an Irish person, I support Israel's right to exist, and exist safely, but that does not mean it has the right to commit genocide. The only long-term solution is a two-state solution. It is not antisemitism to criticise the Netanyahu government and the atrocities it is committing. That is an insult to Jews in Ireland to use that term here. Ireland has been very fair in recognising the legitimate rights of Israel, while also recognising the rights of Palestine. This isn't a black and white issue, and Israel should not be making it out to be. It is clear with this blatant overreaction that Israel ultimately knows what it is doing is wrong. I fully support my government's actions in relation to Israel and Gaza. History will show us in a good light on this.

When we speak up, online or in the news, the English speaking world hear us straight away, unlike Spain or Finland, where statements are translated, and therefore less weighty to other English speaking countries. It is appalling, but it's easier to ignore _foreign_ statements.
