Hi Steve! I use drop and inner shadow a lot, so I already know how to use its feature. But, certainly, it will be very useful for someone that is starting to use PS. We all had our 'day one' with this program and all the information was valuable as gold back then. It's certainly the case here for the starters. Nice of you to think about them! TFS and have a good one :)

Thanks Lu! I appreciate your feedback. I still remember my first time seeing Photoshop and being completely overwhelmed. So many of my videos and tutorials are aimed at beginners. Of course, the advanced stuff is a lot more fun, but you have to learn the basics first. :)

@@PhotoshopEssentialsChannel It's very nice to know that someone is thinking of the beginners! How can we write a masterpiece without knowing the alphabet in the first place? Keep up with the excellent work Steve! You're very good on what you do :)

Is there a way to save the shadow so it can be used with different images that are the same size?

I have no idea what happened. I followed your instructions exactly and could not create a drop shadow (not one that was visible, at least. I kept my finger on my trackpad and tried to move it around as you suggested and nothing happened. So I entered in your suggested dimensions into the "dropbox" dialog box in hopes that I needed a mouse to do the dragging of the drop shadow and it still didn't show up. Any suggestions? Thanks so much as you have great instructional videos. Great pace, great explanations, and very clear and easy to understand. :)

Do you mean when I write things like "Hold ALT (Win) / OPTION (Mac)"? I only do that because you can't see in the video which key I'm pressing on the keyboard.
