Returning Shadow sounded good? My headphone jack on my 💻 just took a dump so I had to go by the little speakers. I’m glad the tone was correct! I’ll be stopping by the Apple store soon to get it fixed 🤦♂️
@@nfareview Well I use a desktop computer with 20 year old speakers that work perfectly and it definitely sounded beastly. That deep resonance thump sounded purdy.
Dude, the wife and I have had the stupid summer cold as well. I lost my voice for a couple of days and congested really bad. Great video as usual! Can't wait to get my YHM Turbo. First suppressor and probably be around March for approval.
Glad I came across this video. I just recently picked up a PDX pistol in 7.62x39 and only ran it once so far with the HATEBRAKE on. I don't own any Dead Air products right now but I have SiCo Chimera which has no barrel length restrictions and after watching this video, I will order me a direct-thread mount for the chimera and run that on the PDX.
I watched another reviewer saying that different from a regular muzzle brake, the e brake actually reduces muzzle flash instead of increasing it. But some others showed the opposite. My question is, which one kills flash better and being quieter, the e-brake, or the 3 prone 556 front caps? I bought the e brake but couldn't decide whether to use it with the stock 30 front cap, or get a 3 prone 556 cap? The latter seems to reduce some dBs when directly attached to the can, but if the e brake actually being louder and gives more flash, is it meaning less to use both of them together then?
Probably not necessary for a lot of us but I wish the blast baffle was stellite. Nonetheless definitely the top rifle can along with the Radiant. That PDX is badass.
What is the best 5.56 can you’ve shot this year both in long and short configurations for the AR Platform? The CGS Helios 556 QD? The OSS 556k or 556ti?
I've been stalling for years, can't decide Hybrid/ Trash Panda/ Nomad and videos like this help everyone decide Thank for uploading and making this video!
Considering KB of Q is a Gay Basher and giant douchebag I can't recommend any of his products. Out of your choices I say Nomad30. What are the hosts you'll be using?
I have a 44 mag Contender, a PWS MK1 Mod2 223, a few 300 blackouts, and a Rem 700P 300wm, and a few pistols. I've been using my AAC Ti-Rant 45 for the pistols and with 5/8 fixed mounts for the subsonic blackout, but its pushing it using 5.56 and supersonic 300blk thru a pistol Can. I haven't tried it on my 300 win mag. The market is flooded with 30 Cal cans, but I've wanted a big 1.75" diameter 338 or 30 cal suppressor for awile, and the Nomad fits the bill. Good review @nfareviewchannel
Him unconscious on the floor I would guess. But he'd have to stop stalking his ex to make time for me. Then theres the whole jail and no guns thing…Not sure it would work lol.
i have one of these in purgatory, i've put it on a ruger ranch in 7.62x39 and it sounds great. Also on an ar 10 but with the gas system it makes it a bit louder and blows soot farther into the action. Finally got my back ordered key mo adapter in the mail to me from brownells and looking forward to putting it on my scar 17. I'm interested in putting this on an ak 74 and there are adapters where i could easily put it on but because ak barrels are not usually straight i'm curious if i should use a 308 key mo break/FH so there will be less chance of a baffle strike, though i think the bigger hole would detract from the noise reduction.
I'm just seeing this video here in 2021. I'm definitely ordering this can. I do have one question, although the video is old enough you may never see it. What Bumper set up is on that Tundra?!?!?! I need that on my truck!
Great review, thanks! Is that Nomad 30 on the PDX direct threaded or with a QD mount? Did the PDX cycle well with a suppressor and with acceptable gas blowback?
I'd really appreciate some thoughts on the nomad vs the Vox on a 300BO pistol. I currently have a Vox in ATF jail, almost got the nomad but the Vox won out for me. Ohh and thanks BTW if it wasn't for your channel I wouldn't have even considered the Vox.
Trying to compare this to the rugged radiant but I feel like the 75yd shot cam kills the comparison. I REALLY want to know which is quieter for my 300blk pig rifle.
How long is the current wait time for silencers? I had the withdrawal taken out late September 2018, got the OSS HELIX after watching your review.. Is there any way to check on the progress?
Given they claim low back pressure from this can, will it provide enough increase in back pressure to cycle 300blk subsonic rounds reliably in a 9" pistol?
All cans creat more back pressure than no can. If your gun cycles without a can then the can would only make poblemsnif it creates too much back pressure.
Im currently running a Nomad on a PWS MK116 in 556, MK216 in 308, Tikka CTR in .308, and find it to be phenomenal. Basically, i think you go with the Nomad if you plan on direct threading it to anything. Once you add the Keymo, the cost of the Nomad is slightly higher, and you are at essentially the same weight / length as the sandman, and a drop in durability with the loss of stelite. Nomad is purportedly slightly quieter. Shrug, cant go wrong either way. If i did it again, i would probably just get the sandman as i use mounts on all of my rifles, but its essentially a tossup. I do prefer the look of the Nomad, if that means anything.
Neither the Vox nor the Trash Panda are quieter than the Nomad. Buy the Nomad. The Nomad is also made of superior materials, especially if it's going on an SBR or will every go above 800-1000 deg F. A 14.5-16" barrel AR with a Surefire silencer firing 5.56 at ~1rd per second will heat up the exterior of the silencer to over 500 deg F so take that into account.
@@joshparker4491 I have a Nomad, I've just heard that Nomad is not the quietests, not that I care about a few db. Nomad is the most versitile can. I love it.
Silence is Golden 300blk wow what a mature comment. My Patrons paid for my time to review this so...not sure how to answer that. But under all wind conditions with all the rifle cans I’ve fired, a 5.56 running full auto is a great tell all and I was fine. So, there ya have it. No gas face. Any other smart ass comments or can I go back to working my ass off to provide people with reviews?
NFA Review Channel, that was a little bit of a wisecrack question he asked but a lot of us have become jaded because of RUclipsrs like James Yeager saying and pushing what his “sponsors” want. He fooled me for a couple years. After all the harsh opinions about 1911s and Taurus for years, he’s now a big fan of both it seems, surely because they are paying him.
@@nfareview have you explored the possibility of measuring the full auto rate of fire change when attaching a suppressor to quantitatively measure increases in back pressure?
How much should they cost? I'm curious as to your full understanding of running a company, paying for a building, CNC machines, raw materials, R&D, tooling, coating, employee pay and benefits, trade shows, shooting events, etc. I think $700 is a steal but then again, I understand what the true cost of production is.
