    Hot sanding to thin the knives on the belt after heat treatment? This is why I prefer Japanese knives, they don't do this kind of destruction like this Korean. Whetstone thinning with water is the only way to not ruin the heat treatment.

      Since each person uses a different method, it would be difficult to call this method a Korean method. This is the method of one of the craftsmen living in Korea :)

    So much delaminations... They're not the "only one in the world". I personally know a few blacksmiths that can and are doing same thing. And only in Poland. Including myself. So... 🤷 In the world scale there could be hundreds of people doing that.
