Turk they actually recorded it for VS but Eddie didn’t want it in the album. It was recorded again for Vitalogy and made the album. Even though Eddie tried to have it pulled off again.
Leo, this sounds a little more rough than the two versions that are Bad Radio Demos boot from the mid-90's that I have (something like 20 tracks on it). Is it different, i.e. Ed solo?
This is Eddie's original 4-track demo version that he gave us to learn, which was used on this cassette. We later recorded it at our rehearsal studio. (Eddie added audience applause so it sounded as if we played it live) That "live" version is circulating out there, as well.
Lyrics- Waitin', watchin' the clock It's four o'clock, it's got to stop Tell him, "Take no more" She practices her speech As he opens the door, she rolls over Pretends to sleep as he looks her over She lies and says she's in love with him Can't find a better man She dreams in color, she dreams in red Can't find a better man Can't find a better man Can't find a better man Oh Talkin' to herself There's no one else who needs to know She tells herself, oh Memories back when she was bold and strong And waiting for the world to come along Swears she knew it, now she swears he's gone She lies and says she's in love with him Can't find a better man She dreams in color, she dreams in red Can't find a better man She lies and says she still loves him Can't find a better man She dreams in color, she dreams in red Can't find a better man Can't find a better man Can't find a better man She loved him, yeah She don't want to leave this way She feeds him, yeah That's why she'll be back again Can't find a better man (can't find a better man) Can't find a better man (can't find a better man) Can't find a better man (can't find a better man) Can't find a better man
I have one cassette demo that I found 30 years ago for sale if anybody wants one! I have one only! But nobody's ever wanted to buy it I won't boot leg the thing! I'll sell it to anybody for a good price! It's good Eddie vedder's la Mesa home phone number inside the j card! I'll keep it I'll put it in a capsule! Or if anybody wants to take make a bid go ahead! You're all in their hibernating from the virus! You could be listening to this unheard Eddie vedder bad radio! Just a thought
I don't know why, but this demo makes me feel so sad, but also very nostalgic. beautiful indeed
Ooohhh my goodness I love Eddie Vedder sooo very much!! ♥️ wow is awesome to listen to, thank you Leo Vedder 👍✌🤘
ONLY JUST DISCOVERED THIS?! HOW cool?!❤️
Amazing that this exists!!!!! Thanks for posting!!!
Memories
He had the vocal phrasing down pat in 1989!
Always a great song!
reminds me of the 60s
Music sounds like an 80s movie or tv theme
lol the gated 80s drum track
I may be wrong, but it also sounds like an DX7 piano. This is as eighties as it comes.
Wow I've never heard this. Honestly there are elements of it that I prefer. That 80s vibe is strong.
It reminds me of a mixture of PJs version and Bruce Springsteen’s One Step Up.
This version I thought has hints of Save It For Later.. which of course they've been known to play
Omg how did I forget about this song 😳
Can we kiss? 😢
This reminds me of a local band near me called 10XBIG from back in the day!
Later became Jimmies Chicken Shack, correct?
@@PalmTreesInMoscow yup!
Can’t find the Vedder man
Lovely stuff
For My Girl! 🔥❤🔥
Sounds like the theme music to Ncis
Hey Eddie let's go surfing!
Wow. Thank you for sharing Leo.
👍
Eddie vedder forever
It's 80s good cop bad cop movie music
I like this better rougher
I wonder if Ed waited until after recording VS before he demo`d this gem for PJ? I meant they never played it live until 94.
They played Betterman at Slim's Cafe 05.13
1993.
@@leovedder any audio recording of that performance?
Hi, i have this song in mp3.
Turk they actually recorded it for VS but Eddie didn’t want it in the album. It was recorded again for Vitalogy and made the album. Even though Eddie tried to have it pulled off again.

Bad Radio never recorded in a studio.

Lyrics-
Waitin', watchin' the clock
It's four o'clock, it's got to stop
Tell him, "Take no more"
She practices her speech
As he opens the door, she rolls over
Pretends to sleep as he looks her over
She lies and says she's in love with him
Can't find a better man
She dreams in color, she dreams in red
Can't find a better man
Can't find a better man
Can't find a better man
Oh
Talkin' to herself
There's no one else who needs to know
She tells herself, oh
Memories back when she was bold and strong
And waiting for the world to come along
Swears she knew it, now she swears he's gone
She lies and says she's in love with him
Can't find a better man
She dreams in color, she dreams in red
Can't find a better man
She lies and says she still loves him
Can't find a better man
She dreams in color, she dreams in red
Can't find a better man
Can't find a better man
Can't find a better man
She loved him, yeah
She don't want to leave this way
She feeds him, yeah
That's why she'll be back again
Can't find a better man (can't find a better man)
Can't find a better man (can't find a better man)
Can't find a better man (can't find a better man)
Can't find a better man
sounds like a tobin sprout cut off GBV
The drums looks like Midi.
THANK YOU!
