Some of my earliest gaming memories are taking a 45-minute tram ride to my dad's office to play the original Prince of Persia, Lemmings, The Incredible Machine, and others. Was anyone doing any work in the early days of PCs?!? PS: Hot Pursuit holds up so well that I prefer the PS3 version to the remastered version on PS4.
when you mention tony hawks 3 i say "si señor" the 3 entry was mindblowing. The music, graphics all perfection, recently i found my ps2 memory card with my thp3 load file, there was my bucky lasek with flippers and snorkel ready for tokyo medal session
Never saw someone speak the truth so frivolously. So many of the games you mentioned mean something to me - but most of them in a completely different way. And so many people don’t get it, constantly downplaying the utter importance of games for not only individuals but generations of players (and pop culture and all the other things). Anyways, the real important questions … THPS2. Period.
I loved Returnal on PS5 so much, I bought it again on PC when it released there about a year later. Just wanted to experience it with mouse n keyboard and a bit of extra visual flair. Exceptional game. Sure hope that Sony, having since acquired Housemarque, let them continue to make highly polished, responsive, agile shmups and don't bend 'em into making some narrative-heavy-little-gameplay type games.
