I also thank you for the respect you have shown us Germans with the kindness of your peaceful tradition. I wish the English would behave the same way. Scots showing pride while still being friendly and respectful - so many people could learn from them! I live in one of the houses where the fanwalk in Cologne was and people here still talk about how great the scottish fans were. Our neighbour said: "They drink and party like there is now tomorrow while still being the kindest guests we ever had." I think there is even a petition for Germany and Scottland having at least one friendly game every year.
Scotland thank you. Great atmosphere and peaceful around and in the stadium. From the morning till the evening, party pure! I‘m in live with scottish fans. Abolutely banger!!!
I had to travel for work around Stuttgart when the scottish fans were around. They behaved absolutely friendly and civilized; even helped other train passengers. There was this small lady having trouble to lift her suitcase into the luggage rack on the train, so a scottish man offered some help. Lady said "carefull it´s very heavy" the scott just replied "good thing I´m very strong" and lifted it up like it was nothing. Then gave her a smile and went on to find his place. Absolutely lovely guests to have :) From all the nationalities coming to visit, the scottish people cemented a reputation to be the best guests!
Scottish and especially Bavarians have a lot in common: Kilt and Lederhose, blue and white, larger scales of consuming beer, old rites and traditions, mountain-folk-music... :) You really can be proud of the Scottish Fans - and i liked it to study the glance in your eyes, watching those wonderful scenes... my face still hurts, because this video made me smile the whole way through. And if you ask me: The crown jewels of this Euro will be Scotland and the Netherlands... wait... the Austrians as well, Georgien... ? 😉Wherever fangroups come around, they transform the athmospheres of our streets, places and stadiums in a wonderful way ! Love from here 🙃🌹⚽🟦⬜♥🍀 P.S. I heard in the news about precise plans, to seperate the fans in the stadium... when german and scottish fans arrived mixed together, the police gave up any plan - with a broad smile...
The Scots and the Dutch are great fans and have brought a party atmosphere to Germany. You immediately felt like celebrating and of course drinking the good German beer.💞🍺🙂Lovely Greetings from the north Sea coast of Germany.
Curios fun fact: At the European Football Championship in Germany, fans from Scotland and Germany fraternized en masse. These were probably so profound that a petition has now even been launched to seal the mutual affection. One German supporter is even calling for an annual test match between the two countries - and has found thousands of supporters. This fan from Berlin therefore started a petition called "Annual friendly match between Germany and Scotland". He says: "Whether at fan festivals, fan miles or simply in everyday life on the streets and in the pubs, the citizens of both nations become friends. Germans cheer for Scotland, Scots cheer for Germans. We suggest that the DFB and the Scottish Football Association organize an annual friendly match. Ideally, Germany and Scotland would alternate as hosts." So far (UPDATE: July 5), this guy has already found around (UPDATE) 60,690 supporters who have signed the petition. So he is obviously well on the way to bringing the Tartan Army back to Germany. Let's see what happens :-)
As one of the volunteers on the pitch for the pre-game ceremony? The moment when 30.000 scottish fans sing their anthem was a moment I'll never forget. I was not in one of the cities hosting the Euro 2024, but from what I've seen on Social Media, you, dear Scots, have absolutely killed it! While you thank us Germans for our hospitability, we have to thank you for being amazing guests. You showed us one simple thing: On the field, we are bitter enemies, but when the match is over, we are connecting and sharing our cultures. I have read that someone opened a petition for an anual "Scottish-German Culture Exchange", and I support this wholeheartedly. I hope you will come and vist us again, you lot are always welcome in Germany :)
I ran into a lot of Scotland fans in cologne, because their second match took place here. I had a tough time getting home that evening because al trams were packed with people. (obviously) But I had some nice conversation with Scotish people and they were absolutely amazing. When they played "highland cathedral" which also got covered to become a local city anthem, most residents of cologne were touched by the atmosphere and the spirit the Scots spread during their march.
I was in Stuttgart and enjoyed a great atmosphere. It was like meeting family and friends having a good time. The Tartan Army are the best ambassadors!
My half-brother is part Scottish on his dad´s side and went to the Germany - Sctottland match in München dressed in his kilt and the Germany jersey. He said the atmosphere in the stadium was really great and the Scottish and German fans got along really well. I think us Germans have a love for Scottland in general, it´s one of our favourite places to travel. 💙🤍💙
We've grown to love the Scottish fans because they create such a great atmosphere with their music and all, and even though they drink the taverns dry they all seem to be "friendly drunks" who never become aggressive or cause trouble. All this reinforced by the Scots being kind and helpful towards complete strangers, which totally conforms with my own experiences visiting Scotland a while back. Lovely people everywhere. I don't mean to overdo it with the pathos, but these folks are the Flower of Scotland. =) You will be welcome here anytime.
I had an appointment with a few friends of mine at one of Munichs biggest Beergarden (HIRSCHGARTEN) on Friday, 14th. - just before all Scottish fans left to get on the bus heading to Allianz-Arena. I really did not expect so many Scottish fans! VERY likeable and it was a pleasure to talk to them. Welcome back at any time ! ♥

we have so much luv for the Scottish fans and a lot of empathy, because they have to share an island with the English lads. It was a lot of fun to have them as guests
It was an honor to experience the great Scottish fans. A work colleague walked to the stadium with them, incredible atmosphere, no aggression just partying and then the picture of the two Scottish fans escorting the old woman or man in the rain and holding the umbrella. You are always welcome back!
The Scottish fans are absolutely amazing. Great guests, so polite (help the Elderly, clean up their mess, very acommodating), a bit crazy and all in all full on sweethearts. I have seen, heard and experienced only the very best. I live in Cologne and one Scot very adorably didn't manage to get up an escalator (he wanted up, but took the lane that went down). He struggled, almost made it and then eventually failed. He was fairly drunk ofc. Another bloke thought it was a good idea to jump into the Rhine all naked. Luckily he made it out again. The Rhine is not for swimming. The current is too strong and it's riddled with turbulent vortices. Crazy and great people, you Scots! :)
It was said that there were around 200,000 Scots in Munich. I don't think there were really that many, but there were very, very many. I would say they had Munich under control, in an absolutely positive sense. And a 20 year old Scottish fan walked from Glasgow to Munich - about 1600km in 41 days.
It was just pure joy to have the Scots around! A friend of mine described it like that: It's like throwing a party: The Scots come around, spread joy, are talkative, drink a lot but are still funny to be around them as they are never agressive. The English however... well, they come, critisize the food you provide (while trampling it into the carpet), annoy everybody with their stupid jokes, pee in your kitchen sink and puke on your sofa. - Btw, he's from England himself...
In Cologne on the market there was an old main with a walker and it was raining and amidst all the partying two Scottish lads were helping him across and shielding him with umbrellas from the rain - very lovely people in Scotland!!!
Comment from a German: Scottish supporters are the best! Met them in Stuttgart and Munich. Party maniacs and true sportsmen in the very best meaning of the words. Aleays welcome to come back, you great guys👍👍👍👍
Scotland is definitely the winner of the hearts. ❤ There are all sorts of cute clips. Two Scottish men holding an umbrella for an elderly man while walking. A German handing out beer from his balcony. Scottish fans cleaning up a park after the match. And a Scottish men playing the German anthem after the first match although they lost 1:5. Such a great people. There'll always be a place for you here. 😊
Perhaps not in the stadiums, but in the streets they are the champions. Thanks Scotland, you showed how it should work. Fairest scene: after the lost game against Germany a scottish bagpiper played the German anthem, thank you.
The Scottish fans were the best!!!!!! So sad to let them go. In all honesty this has marked a new chapter in German/Scottish friendship. Warm regards from Germany 🇩🇪
I believe Scottish people have a good reputation anyway. Watching this I wish I was there and could sing along with them. Very nice people everywhere, it was a joy to watch.
Living in the centre of Stuttgart i had the opportunity to feel the difference between english fans, who changed the citycentre in a nogo area, and the scottish fans, who changed it into a fun spot
Eure Fans sind die besten Fans. So freundlich und hilfsbereit. Vor allem, sie konnten sich benehmen, sind nicht unangenehm aufgefallen. Es war ein Besuch wie bei Freunden. 😊
As a German from Bavaria. You Scots are some of the MOST FUN People i ever met in my Life! When we beat you Guys, all the Scottish Fans in Munich were just like "Who cares" and then got drunk and partied with us! Literally made me love Scottish People more than any other Foreigner Fans i met during Football Matches so far! That said, those Scottish Fans also can take a ton of Alcohol, i felt sick for 2 days after i drank with em, but damn was it worth it! Prost & Cheers from Berchtesgaden in the Bavarian Alps
German here with a scottish mother. I have never seen so many scottish people outside of scotland. I live in Düsseldorf and they definitly had a great time in our "Altstadt". The Pubs literally ran out of beer. Been to the match in cologne vs switzerland and everybody just wanted to have a great time. I loved that nearly everybody was dressed with a kilt. I am sad it's over now..
That would be fantastic. But can I request that Germany start with 5 players? Germany is my favourite country (apart from Scotland of course). Wonderful people
The scottish fans show in a simple but heartfull way all that what FIFA tried to buy in Qatar and miserably failed. You can't buy hearts and true passion. Tartan army - you really impressed us! Thanks for beeing here! You definelty won the fan championship!

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
In Cologne on the market there was an old main with a walker and it was raining and amidst all the partying two Scottish lads were helping him across and shielding him with umbrellas from the rain - very lovely people in Scotland!!!
They deserve to win the competition as the best and kindest guests. Thank you!❤
Comment from a German: Scottish supporters are the best! Met them in Stuttgart and Munich. Party maniacs and true sportsmen in the very best meaning of the words. Aleays welcome to come back, you great guys👍👍👍👍
The Scots are Just great people making a tournemant like this Just a little Bit better and more fun!!! Greetings from Germany.
Scotland is definitely the winner of the hearts. ❤
There are all sorts of cute clips.
For my opinion, scottish fans are one of the best people. I like their charisma.🎉
You guys are cute. It's nice to see everyone having fun ❤🎉
Living in the centre of Stuttgart i had the opportunity to feel the difference between english fans, who changed the citycentre in a nogo area, and the scottish fans, who changed it into a fun spot
The scotts were awesome guests! Party hard without being asses!
Eure Fans sind die besten Fans. So freundlich und hilfsbereit. Vor allem, sie konnten sich benehmen, sind nicht unangenehm aufgefallen. Es war ein Besuch wie bei Freunden. 😊
I am from Stuttgart, it was a pleasure to have you here. Such a great vibe! You are always welcome! 🤝
To every single Scottisch Human Bring, who came Here to Germany - Feel you hugged! You that was an Experience i'll never forget.🤗
We loved having you here so much! Everyone I know was really sad to see the Scottish fans go 💙
German here with a scottish mother. I am sad it's over now..
we want every year a friendship game against Scotland.
I really have to tell you, the Scottish fans here behaved in an exemplary manner, it was a very nice time together 👍🏻🏴 it's a shame that the Scottish team was eliminated so early because I would have seen them here longer.
