Abu Abdillah Muhammad ibn Idris al-Shāfiʿī. Imam Shafii (R. A) was a pioneer and encyclopedia for fiq, international law jurisprudence. May Allah elevate his rank in Paradise. Imam Abu Hanifa, Imam Malik, Imam Ahmed Ibn Hanbal. 🤲🏽
In Somalia Tuhfah of Ibn hajar is most relied upon sharah .second is Kanzi Raqibeen of Jalaldeen al-mahali. Third is Mugh al Muhtaj by khatib al Shirbeeni

Hayaak Allah akhi. Just wanted to point something out from when you were talkin about the book and how the author always goes back to mentioning الأصح. The phrase الأصح is used in the shafii madhab as: ما قوي ورجح من بين آراء الأصحاب ، و ذلك إذا قوي الخلاف وكان لكل دليل قوي. So it doesnt necessarily mean that it is always the most authentic opinion of the madhab or the most relied upon opinion but it surely has authority to it without a doubt wa Allahu alam. May Allah bless you and accept your good deeds.
More islamic figures of our time should share their private interest while sharing knowledge mashallah I love how the shaykh presents these books of knowledge while showing is enjoyenment and gratefulness Subhanallah May Allah bless our messenger salallahu aleyhi wa salam, may allah bless you oh shaykh and may allah reward our fasting and accept it.

No shafi studies Minhaj by Nawawi as a beginning book. That’s like saying a hanbali starts with Al kafi or a maliki should start with Mukhtasar Al Khalil. I

@@العقيلي-ف7و Madinah, because he said in his madhab history video that they teach Fiqh a bit weird or something along those lines, so I was wondering if he recommends it or not
@@Rajul2 don’t worry about it, the reason the shaykh said that is because they used to teach Ibn Rushd’s book bidayatul mujtahid in fiqh who was a Maliki and then Rawdatu Nadhir by Ibn Qudamah in Usūl al fiqh and he is hanbali. So I think the Shaykh said that this format confuses a lot of the students. Alhamdulilaah now the uni teaches the hashiyyah on Zad al Mustaqni and Rawdh (both hanbali) which is also used in other unis in Saudi. إن شاء الله this made it clear.
A note is that I’ve seen a lot of Ustadhs and Shaykhs on RUclips recommend Kuliyyatul Hadith as it has a better environment/atmosphere. I heard you can sit in classes before choosing a kuliyyah, so sit in the different kuliyyas classes and choose. May Allaah make you choose the one that will be most beneficial to you and all of the Muslims.
I know this was addressed to the Shaykh حفظه الله but it didn’t seem like he saw this so I didn’t want to leave you hanging.

@imbo mohammad brother, all 12 of the imams were sunni scholars Imam Jaffir As-Sadiq for example, was a teacher to Imam Shafi.

ArRisalah is not one of the first books on usol al fiqh. It is THE FIRST book on usol al fiqh

As salaamu alaykum shaykh. Is they a way you can start showing the book cover or title a little longer so we can either screenshot it clearly so if we come across a copy. Also under the title of of video can you put name of book and author and publisher. Because it's hard to understand you clearly at times. This would really. Show the cover at least 5 seconds. In shaa Allah
At 3:12 the sheikh mention "hashijah" anyone can explain the meaning of it. And later he says tahkik, what does that mean?
Hashiya is like the footnotes while the tahqiq literally comes from the word meaning to investigate, they are similar but honestly I don’t know the exact difference. Both are like additions added by a person who could be commenting on the grading ahadeeth, explaining something that was said, etc.

The thing is with Haythami is that he had considerable hate for Ibn Taymiyyah.

@@yesboi6516 There is no sunnah before Jumu'uah. There is only Duha but that doesn't come at the time of Jumu'ah.
There's only 2 rak'ah fard for jumu'ah
afterwards you can pray 4 rak'aat if you're in the masjid. Or 2 rak'aat if you're in home.

Nihayah of arRamli is easier to read than Tuhfah of Ibn Hajar. But Tuhfah of Ibn Hajar is more popular and more authoritative in many Muslim countries , usually we study it with hawashi of Abdulhamed Shirvani

Even with tashkeel, many student of knowledge can’t fully understand Tuhfatul Muhtaj without hasyiah
Slm Sh Uthmaan, could you please explain. How the Salaah of Zhur and Asr are performed on the Day of Arafat during the Hajj according the Shafi Matha'ib. Some people insist that it must be Zhur 4Rakaat and Asr 4 Rakaat. Some Argue that Zhur should be joined with Asr Salaah 2/2 Rakaat. Please respond if possible. This is very important. Jazakallahu Khairan.

He is not a specialist in Shafi'i fiqh. A good super commentary on Tuhfat al muhtaj is Hawashi Sharawani wal Abbadi Ala Tuhfat Muhtaj bi Sharh Minhaj which is usually published in 10 or 12 volumes.

When I shop on SifatusSafwa, I pay $25 for shipping but it gets my book to my house in 3 days. Keep in mind they ship from Ireland. Also the books there are CHEAP compared darussalam. That's my personal opinion. Also SifatusSafwa is 100% arabic books. And it has like worldwide shipping

Asalaam u alaykum sheikh. What would you say to a person who wants to start seeking knowledge? I've no idea where to start, as I am still in college, and starting a course such as an Alimiyyah course seems very long. What would you say to someone who wants to seek knowledge however is going to be in university etc? I considered going abroad to an Islamic university, however admission is going to be hard without getting references etc. I am starting out with the essential books series you did, and have got them. Any suggestions on how to advance?
W'alaikum Assalamu Warahmatullahi Wabaraktu ... You didn't ask me, but maybe you'll find this beneficial.
1. Study the 5 pillars of Islam, what's obligatory to know from each of these fields... A teacher will make clear to you what books to start in each field.
a. Aqeedah/Tawheed
b. Seerah
c. Fiqh of Ibaadah (Salah, zakat, sawm, hajj)
Now you start seeking knowledge... And after doing ^^ it'll come clear to you how to proceed. Barakallahu feekum
You can do a part time alimiyyah course along with your university studies. The first few years are just basic foundations and by the time it gets more difficult you would probably finish you're uni so you can focus more on it.
Also I know it seems long but if you want to be a student of knowledge then it's essential to learn that much knowledge. May Allah make it easy for you

It is beneficial to know the opinions of other madhabs as well , he teaches hanbali fiqh .by the way I am hanafi.

He is not a muqallid type hanbali, he is a salafi ahlul hadith ,who learnt the foundation of hanbali madhab
@@mohammedafrid1395 😂I saw many Wahabist said they're not muqallid because their Hanbali madhab still not complete yet so they will collect hukm from another madhab in particular the Shafi'i madhab because majority of famous Islamic scholars in the past were Shafi'i madhab.
