It baffles me how anyone can give Henry a thumbs down , this guy is such a knowledgeable and likeable guy . He’s alway happy 😃
“You can be the sweetest banana, there’s always someone who doesn’t like bananas “
Cheers Andy haha, maybe it’s the shoes 🤷🏼♂️😂
@@HenryTurnerphoto definately the hat 🧢😂
Yes totally agree with you
Couldn't agree more! Absolutely love his videos, he's a real inspiration for me and many others too it seems. I think it's fair to say every thumbs down is a reflection on the person who clicked it and not on Henry or his content. Keep up the great work Henry.👍🏽
Henry, thanks for your efforts to help us become better landscape photographers - and for all you do behind the scenes in multiple hours of post-production. And then there's the secret ingredient, which is not really a secret at all - your winsome, inspiring, and informative approach to capturing the wonders of this planet. Your enthusiasm is infectious. That's why we, your loyal subscribers and supporters keep coming back for more. Be encouraged, my friend. You're doing a good thing.
Your 9 min exposure was over exposed because of the glare from your boots mate. Nice save though. You give so much pleasure to us all week after week Henry and it's much appreciated by all.
i agree
I agree. I particularly like that Henry's videos concentrate on what he's seeing rather than on his equipment. The latter gets a mention only when it's necessary.
The positive spin on “mistakes” is they are learning opportunities - great video and the over exposed recovered image is absolutely OUTSTANDING!!!
Your videos are excellent, you should be on TV. Coming from from a 51 year old that doesn’t find a younger person annoying, that is a real compliment! 😂
Fully agree, mentioned it many times that he that he should have a tv slot, and also also be involved with Morcambe Tourism as his local photos around Morcambe bay certainly providing a great advert for this area. Always brightens up my day when his videos come out. Learning a lot from him and supported him recently with a purchase of the 3 sisters print in Glencoe and a calendar.
Even planned a trip to Scotland around the Assynt area recently after watching one of his videos in that area. Had a great time playing around with camera.
Having a big influence on me as a learner landscape photographer, so full credit to him, top man.
The wonders of being able to bring back a badly exposed image. Sometimes, technology is a lifesaver.
Yet again Thursday evening is lifted from the mundane by spending 15/20 minutes in the company of Henry Turner Where would we be without our regular dose of "Henthusiasm" ? Thanks once again for an inspirational, educational video Henry
Great video yet again love the last picture. This channel is such a great at resource and an uplifting experience thanks 😊
Fantastic as ever. Some sad people just spend their day disliking videos without even watching them. What a world! It badly needs people like Henry to get us back on track and cheer us up.
It's mad this year isn't it! I went out the other day expecting to find loads of lovely autumnal colours to photograph, and could I find anything decent?..Could I heck! That first shot you took by the way, the handheld one, is absolutely beautiful.
Great as always Henry! You're infectious personality and positive attitude always lifts my mood and inspires me! I've always liked your images, but the images out of that Z7 are top notch and really match up well with your skill level! Glad to see you could rescue that long exposure. That was my favorite of this video! Cheers!
I love that first shot... Beautiful warm natural light... just gorgeous...
Herdwicks are such bonny looking animals.. i think they must spread the word to look for you as you wander the fells..
Your first image, shown, is beautiful.. loving that you left it 'over-exposed' with the trees in silhouette and the beautiful textures in the path..
The over-exposed over-long exposure turned out pretty good. you, quite obviously, know your way around PS.
your woodland shot is what i tend to expect from your forays into the British countryside, beautiful..
a fine after-sunset image, beautifully coloured in pastel hues.
another enjoyable 'walk' with you Henry.. thank you..
You can't beat Surprise View at this time of year. Always full of surprises!
Autumn's gonna be gorgeous when it arrives. Seen it before and it usually is when it's late.
My planning is only a check of the weather and knowing where I'm going. I (almost) never have a plan for what I'm going to shoot. I go out to see what I can find.
Henry, Borrowdale was my first real experience of the Lakes, way back in the 1970s. It got under my skin then and I keep going back. Your vlog took me back again, thanks for sharing. Lovely images.
Henry,
I loved this Vlog. Those images you created were beautiful. Your content delivers week on week :-)
Henry stunning images as always loved the long exposure you managed to salvage, you are always so enthusiastic , how long will those boots stay white I wonder ☺ look forward to your next venture . Thank you Henry 👍
Yes it should have been 4min on that really long exposure. Luckily you still got your image, nice one.
No epic sky full of sunset colours this time, can’t have it everyday.
Not a total loss, still was a beautiful view of the valley.
Stay safe Henry. 29/214 🇦🇺
Great images Henry especially the last one with the sunset.
Some of the best Sunsets occur in pouring rain - You can also get rainbows at the same time. This happened to me at St Michael's Mount last month.
Thanks again for all your hard work to share the wonders of the UK in the most amazing photographs. I may never make it over there, but through your eyes I have seen so much more than I could ever experience on my own.
One of the advantages of mirrorless cameras is the ability to do long exposures with ND filters and letting the camera decide how much time it needs to get the correct exposure. Using aperture priority, dial in your chosen aperture and ISO and press the shutter. The camera will leave the shutter open as long as it needs to get enough light. No need for complex calculations or apps. I have a Fuji x series camera and this works fine.
The over exposed image turn out beautiful !
You probably wouldn't have been able to do that walk today 28th October, they've had some serious rain fall and I hope everyone is safe.
Good stuff as always 👍
Love the unplanned trips the best! Freedom to wander and see around one's self...the best. The sheeple want to learn photography too! Nice! Feels like I'm watching a video from summer..oof autumn is missing. Golly, what a beautiful area. The long exposure is really cool, nice it was saved! Lovely shots really show the beauty of the area. Feels like it was just a pleasant day with the joy of photography. 😊 Thanks for sharing, Henry! Cheers!
Back in the 1980s Brighton and Hove albion had a manager called Jimmy Melia. He was famous for wearing white shoes at the FA cup final .
First thing I said was " blimey he's got a pair of Jimmy's on " when I saw your white shoes 😂. Great stuff Henry 👍
Your boots brightened up my day, even here in dorset I could feel the glow. Great work Henry.
Wow - never thought of taking a 9-minute landscape photo. This is why I love watching your videos so much.
I once built a Stone Tower there as I didn't possess a tripod - still don't, but sorely tempted by a remote.
I`m glad you salvaged the second photograph Henry, it`s a stunner mate. Also like the drone footage too. Thanks for the "waffleilng" good video. 😃
Another great video. It’s encouraging that someone who is such a master of photography can sometimes make a mistake. Most of my ‘good’ photos are happy accidents. There is so much to learn.
Autumn is the best season for Photography :) Specially sitting out in the middle of nowhere to drink coffee .. Nice video mate and yummy photos
Great video Henry. It's good to see even you making mistakes; there is hope for all of us. Enjoy the outdoors whatever the weather; if you return withh good images then that's a bonus.
Don't worry about "mistakes" Henry. We just appreciate being slong with you on your adventures!
I always learn something new with each video. your enthusiasm is refreshing. keep up the good work!!!!
Love your enthusiasm and down to earth approach. You are inspirational.
I do miss the Autumn colours of the old country. I'm surrounded by cactii!!!!!!!
Another great video mate.
It's the same in Scotland Henry, Autumn is passing us by this year. The leaves are falling but they are still green!
The long exposure is just a delight! 👍
True inspiration Henry. You’ve helped me better myself as a photographer, not only through tips etc but just from the inspirational locations and the way you deliver your content, so thank you very much 👍
I agree 100%.
I love that 529 sec picture.
NIce shoes for muddy trails. Great color choise Henry. :-))
Hey Henry, add a compass to your kit. Loved this video. You had so many good things to say, and you managed to crack me up in the process. I always love your enthusiasm, and miss it on your less than stellar days. Stay well good sir.
Great video, photos, and info as always! You inspire me to get out this weekend and traipse through the Appalachians. In any case, you just made my day. I felt like I was in the valley with ya and not getting ready to go sit at my desk on a gloomy Friday.
"Where's autumn?" For a lot of folks, it's on the color adjustment sliders in our favorite photo editor.
Hi Henry, another grand day out and thanks for sharing. Re your new footwear, I'll not say they're bright, but look better through a 6 stop! ;-) ... I must admit that the super long exposure was a really novel idea, and a nice tweak in post to get it back, but possible in no small measure due to the dynamic range of the camera I imagine. That's where great gear saves the day! As ever your self deprecating sense of humour shines through and is really appreciated. Keep up the good work Henry, another great video !
Henry loved your shots keep the videos coming always look forward to them always very knowledgeable but those shoes ha just got to smile but one consolation they won't be that colour long stay safe look forward to your next adventure
Good morning Henry was feeling a bit down this morning but not now that I've watched your video. I just love the realness of it all another superb lesson in life. All the best to you regards Eddie
Awesome long exposure shot. Found out myself that some over exposed shots can be fixed to reveal a very nice image. Well done Henry.
Your long exposure shot was absolutely stunning. I wish I could make the same mistakes as you!
Shoes are glowing😀😀😀
Been to Keswick just y'day mate. Enjoyed the views along struggles road, the lake footways and the ginger bread for sure. Lovely place. Cheers!
I am so glad I have reactor glasses...... It was probably overexposed because of the light changes over nine frigging minutes! Well done for pulling it back from the brink: great shot.
Love the long exposure composition, wish my over exposed compos looked as good as that, good old Adobe Lightroom.
The Borrowdale Valley was the place I visited in the Lake District, back in the early 1970s - That set of Stepping Stones at Seathwaite will be colouring by the end of November perhaps?
The same can be said for Ontario Canada, fall colour has not hit as usual.
Really liked the ND / polariser image ; excellent. Also wood scene = quite dramatic. Yep ~ I did ‘wonder’ about “WHITE” boots & so glad u explained.
that 9 min shot is Epic great video.
I just started binge watching all your videos the other day. I'm barely halfway there :) I'm loving it so far. I've been following your channel for a few years now but I never had the time to watch your videos and I have to say I hate myself for not haha.
Thanks for showing us some of the frustrations and joy of photography. Glad I found your channel , great stuff!
The "overexposed" image looks great!! And so does the first image, love them! Also stunning last image with the beautiful colors in the sky! Strange with the autumn colors though (or better said: the no autumn colors), we were in Luxembourg just two weeks ago and the colors were gorgeous there! And now it's kicking off here in Holland as well, but not as much as in Luxembourg.
Your 9 minute long exposure is gorgeous. Great video….your boots need mud ✊🤣
that long exposure shot is awesome - love it! Every one of your videos makes me smile and sometimes I am laughing with you. Outstanding work Henry and thank you
Great adventure Henry as always loved the long exposure, but the ‘jury’ is still out on the boots.
Tip , henry, if you haven't been you need to visit malham cove and goredale scar .. its about 8 miles north of skipton . about a 2 hour drive for you but fantastic, you won,t regret it
Hi Henry. Enjoyed this. Thought it was funny with the notice on the gate about dogs on lead coz of cows and then we see sheep!
Great exposures here, Derwentwater and sunset, and the 9 minute exposure, I have never done that. Thanks for sharing, don't worry about being a wally, that's part of life! 🤣🍺👍
Mind reading thrown into the skill set as well, great content and always enjoyable to watch.🙂👍
Great content, lovely views. I’m glad you managed to save your long exposure.
Loved it mate, top drawer as usual, can’t say how much I appreciate the effort you put into these
I enjoyed that video thanks. That’s basically my photography in a nutshell, just go out and see what you get. Nice Blue Jays hat. Cheers from Canada.
Looks like you’ve taken up Golf, all you needed was a caddy to carry your gear around for you. 🤣🏌️ yet another inspirational video though cheers Henry 👍👍👍
You're right Henry!! ( apart from digital magic ).....where IS autumn? It's not here in Gloucestershire. Having done my scouting,
I've just been waiting. Love you videos. You're a genuine gent. Take care.
Another great set of images! Cracking video again mate 👍🏻
Like the Blue Jays cap 🧢
Love the shoes! Another good reason to follow the channel! 😃
Loved the overexposed shot, well saved. I'm still learning and I'm about to redeem myself tomorrow, I do events and often horse events, last event I was disappointed because my shutter speed was too slow by a little bit so shutter priority tomorrow 500plus.
Some really great photos Henry.
Would love to see how you saved that overexposure. It was gorgeous!
Mint mate.. we're off to barrowdale in few weeks mate. Hope the colours have changed by then.. would be great to bump into you.... I'll just look for the dazzling boots. 😉
Hi Henry, another great video. I was up at Castle Cragg in June (I know what you mean about the last bit), it's such a cracking location. Oh yea, loving the new footwear.
Henry , I generally find Autumn starts about the second week in November in the Lakes & north Cumbria.
On your failed long exposure ( which you recovered nicely by the way ) I was wondering if you ever use the live time setting on your Olympus for long exposures with ND filters.
Your Nikon might have a similar setting, I use the live time setting on my E-M5 for long exposures with ND filters and I think its really useful as you can watch the image appearing as it happens and stop it anytime you want, maybe you could show this method in a future video as I'm sure there'll be lots of your followers who don't know about this option.
I've just recently found your channel and love your enthusiasm for life & photography. ATB Colin.
Enjoyed the video as usual.
Some really good images.
My wife and I very much enjoyed this video. Maybe the shoes will scare off the sheep.😉
Nice weather you have 🤗 and white boots, what were you thinking 🙄... is this worth a subscription ? of course, where else can you see landscape photographer in white boots😁 👍
Hi Henry I like it when you do that sort of photography because you never know what's going to happen. Oh yes tell me what as happened to autumn, I have been told that it is 2 weeks behind. Its Mad!!. There is a lot of strange things happening with the wildlife to, like the lack of it. I will try and get some Autumn colours next week I think. Grate video as always Cheers.
Hi Henry. Haven't commented for a wee while, just enjoying your travels with a camera! Great to see a Pro who is not a slave to the tripod. Autumn starting to kick off up here in Scotland but it has been delayed. Loved the photos, keep up the good work.
Thank you.👍📷😎
Henry, I thought you were going to do a golf video with those shoes! They're Bobby Dazzlers!
Really enjoy your channel, Henry. Fantastic content. I too have been wearing Salomons since my Munro bagging days and also a few Wainrights when we travel south to the Lakes. I usually get 2 - 3 years out of a pair but only 9 months out of my latest pair. Thanks for the heads up regarding the Salomon warranty. I now have a new pair winging there way to NE Scotland. I passed on the white though - and the Celtic cap LOL WATP!!
Classic shots
I see you filmed this before this week deluge descended on Borrowdale. Keep up the good work.
Great stuff Henry! Cool shoes!
Seems like autumn is late just about everywhere. I’ve resorted to pushing colors in post a bit on my recent captures.
Same here in the Sacramento, Ca. area.
Autumn? Late ? Tell me about it! Almost November and the trees in my local woods are still green!
Great video Henry.
Funnily enough I went to Castle Crag on 15th October. It’s a great view!!
Come to Utah man! Colors popping off! Great vid yet again!
You certainly do share great moments in time with us Henry with your content. All I will say about the boots and will show my age a bit is Kirk Stevens has a lot to answer for 😂
