I envy this guy who can take his dog to work! I actually had a Battaglin Alu back in 1998. Looked really good - yellow with red rims, saddle and handle bar, but the most uncomfortable bike I ever ridden. I sold it after a month. It looked good, though...
I like the build overall but I would never choose hidden cable routing especially if the bike is going to travel. The Hybrid brake calipers is a good option. I have the Yokozuna Hybrid calipers paired with Campagnolo Centaur levers on my cyclocross bike. They work very well. Did you use a low compression specific brake housing? Most cases that type of housing won't work with internal routing. Oh, and I like the white bar tape too. That always adds the best look to a bike. Nice work.
Thanks. Yes its quite a challenge at the moment to build anything due to the shortages globally so we have had to be creative, whilst avoiding the usual "product manager' approach. Instead we thought long and hard about what does a bike that gets ridden and travelled with regularly need, such as easy maintenance, best quality bearings and easy to take on planes.
Officina Battaglin aus Marostica bella italia, surely currently the best design ! And with the best material with Alloy, STEEL !!! Carbon ??? HO-RROR !!!! And what about the dog on the floor ??? It is dead ???
@@yuriyanovski yes I can imagine. The Deda stuff is very race orientated and can be a little harsh. We often mix this tubing with some reynolds or columbus to take the sting out of it.
@@veloatelier6122 how much does this build weighs? ...i am keen on getting a steel frame (i had 2 steel mountain bikes so I know the sublime ride nature of steel)...... but i am worried about the weight penalty
I am sure that I would NOT have chosen them. And also NOT glossy black electrical tape to fix the tape where the white edges are visible. Details, but important.
@@DietrichStockman The discussion here mate is about personal choices on that immaculate bicycle. Not about that a white saddle REQUIRES a white bar tape.
@@DietrichStockman actually yes, not the MOST funny one. I blame myself and think ...what did I do wrong so people just don't get it? I ask for the room temperature and people reply with "yes, but it's windy outside". May be it's me and I always should look out for gusty winds?
I would NOT have: Painted the wheels red. because bike red is cromovelato and rims are not. Does not match. Chosen white HB tape and saddle. And if, I would not fixed with glossy black electrical tape but white one which will also hide the now white edges of the HB tape. Other than that it's a classy bike.
That frame and the paint/finish is sick! What a cool build! Those wheels too......!
Beautiful and some really interesting component choices!
creme de al creme BRAVO♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
STEEL IS REAL!! ❤❤❤
She is beautiful 😍

My only Dream bike.
Very nice bike, but a mechanical discbreak?
What a beauty! 👌🏽
Nice frame love the red matching stem and handlebars
Interesting selection of components I’m guessing they are the customer’s choice?

As a previous owner of Juin Tech GTs i love them but wtaf haha.
Battaglin steel is my ultimate dream bike.
Oh my ..im in love
It looks like a Christmas ornament.
What are the calipers on this build please & how do they perform?
Beautiful build.
I have a Battaglin vintage road bike needing new cassette and pedal bearings. Where is best place for parts?

What expander plug ?
Why didn't you chose the red Juin Tech GT?
The red just wasn't quite the same and it clashed.
I wonder how the bike rides on rough roads compared to carbon frame
The Columbus HSS tubing gives a lovely compliment ride whilst still being nimble and sprightly. We use it a lot in our own steel Meteor Works frames.
@@veloatelier6122 thanks for the answer! I have a bike on Dedacciai 18MCDV6 HT, on smooth asphalt rides perfectly but on uneven very beats

White saddle requires a white bar tape, no discussion. I was convinced immediately by the idea and the result is fabulous 🤩

You left the rear brake cable rubbing the seat stay.
