    damn... so many years later and i came back to those vids to play some mekanism V10.1
    i was looking up the industrial turbine just a minute ago, and now i'm checking if i remember right how the big battery works.
    personally, my preferred setup for an induction matrix is a 4*4*4 total size for a total of 8 inside blocks. you can just slowly add 4 induction cells and 4 induction providers then merge them as you need to upgrade to higher tier, it's very comfortable for progression.

    Feeling bad for you, was crafting my parts using my ME system and made those non-stacking item crafts much much easier

  • @fashnek
    @fashnek 3 года назад +18

    TBH, energy tablets and induction matrix parts are a really good chance to show off Mekanism's crafting automation. Crafting these things by hand gets completely obnoxious.
    The designers could have made tablets stackable (when uncharged), but I think they chose not to do that in order to push players toward auto-crafting. It seems like there are many artificial limitations like that in the mod.

    • @RagePlaysGames
      @RagePlaysGames  3 года назад +8

      That is very true! We should definitely make an episode on automation specifically for crafting the tablets as we will need a TON more to scale up the induction matrix down the road.

    • @LibraritheWizardOfficial
      @LibraritheWizardOfficial 2 года назад +1

      I craft my energy tablets in batches of 100 in the Formulaic Assemblicator. A lot of modpacks have Iron Chests, and a diamond chest holds 108 stacks, which is perfect for transporting tablets around with a cardboard box for even more Formulaic Assemblicators to use as input for induction components.
      Each batch is 400 redstone dust (6 stacks+16), 300 gold ingots (4 stacks+44), and 200 alloy (3 stacks+8).

    Funny Mekanism gimmick: Connecting cables together adds their transfer speed together. An entire basic cable setup can transfer massive amounts of power because of the sum of the network's speed. Adding an ultimate cable somewhere will act as an increase for the entire network.

    A redstone circuit that protects the fission reactor can also be attached to the induction matrix.
    (as long as the turbine is running and can output electricity, the reactor is safe)
    I solved this for myself by reading the signal on the port. (port to redstone comparator)
    When the induction matrix is full, a cable to a resistive heater is activated. The maximum value is entered there.
    With a second output you can also realize a comparison signal. I managed to get that the inducton cell discharges until it is at 90%. Then the circuit doesn't always go on and off.
    Next I install an alarm that shows me when the induction matrix is 90% full.

    • @alexzinyew2959
      @alexzinyew2959 3 года назад +2

      you need 2 thermal evaporation plants, use the configurator to pull the brine out of the first one into a second. then the second will turn the brine into liquid lithium.
      after that take the liquid lithium out with the configurator again into a rotary decondensator which then becomes lithium, and send that lithium into a chemical crystallizer for lithium dust

      not really, just set up a digi miner for coal and iron, let it run for a few hours
      set up a semi-auto steel factory with 3 bins, on full of coal, outputting to an enricher, which outputs to two infusers (using mechanical pipe), one of which has iron input from another bin, then outputs to the other, which outputs to a smelter, which outputs to another bin
      all you need to do is fill the coal and iron and hey presto! tons of steel

    Does a mekanism reactor seriously explode if the turbine can't output power? That would be such a weird mechanic. The coolant stuff makes perfect sense but exploding because the turbine isn't outputting power makes no sense.

    • @Pandasocke
      @Pandasocke 2 года назад +2

      it does make sense because if the turbine is can't put out power, it doesnt run anymore. Therefore not producing water to cool the reactor. The reactor slowly runs out of coolant, starts getting damage when there is no left and explodes at 100% damage.

    • @bubba99009
      @bubba99009 2 года назад

      @@Pandasocke that's not at all the way real power generstion works. A nuclear power plant doesn't melt down if there's not enough power demand from the grid.

    • @Pandasocke
      @Pandasocke 2 года назад +2

      @@bubba99009 that's because the coolant is only coming from the Turbine. Not the case in reality. Also my point was that the mechanic in itself makes sense, not that it's just like in real life.

    • @bubba99009
      @bubba99009 2 года назад

      @@Pandasocke it's a closed loop system in real life. The coolant in the primary loop is contaminated and can't just be supplimented and discharged to the environment as steam or liquid. I can see why they do the battery full = coolant disappears from a game play mechanic to get people with much more frequent meltdowns but yea doesn't really make sense that it works that way.
