We've had at least 3 rabbits this year with bot flies. Nasty things. You did great getting it out.

Had those down in TX but usually on the back of the neck; I would syringe some alcohol into the hole to kill it then pull it out and flush hole with peroxide. Would normally heal up in a few days. That's ugly on her eye, good thing you caught it so quick I've seen them as big around as my thumb.
