I was delighted to see Star Wars: Shadows on the Empire on a Steam sale on PC. I originally beat the game on the N64 on Easy difficulty when I was in middle school, but I regretted not being able to finish it on Medium, since it unlocks an extra ending. This game hearkens back to an age when games held your hand less, and enemies were sometimes ridiculously hard to beat.
Overall, it's a great story, and I prefer this version over the N64 since there are 3D cutscenes and voiced dialogue. In the N64 version, the cutscenes are 2D with no voiceovers. It was also great to finally unlock the secret ending after all these years.

You’re really good at exploding.
Once you see that star destroyer, you know you're approaching!
And the skyhook battle BGM literally spells out "shit just got real"
This level was extremely difficult on Hard and Very Hard. Literally night and day compared to the latter difficulties.
Yeah, I got frustrated with this one. My strategy for beating the game is to save up as many lives as possible for this one haha.
Also I love how large his skyhook is it's bigger than the freakin Star Destroyer!
I knew eventually you would figure it out that opening turret section was stupid though endless waves of fighters that just keep killing you over and over no one by themselves could ever survive An attack like that in real life either
There's too many of them!
This was just so frustrating to watch when attacking the core
I didn’t realize I needed to attack all four sides of the core. It would have been much easier if I knew that from the beginning.
Took the words outta my mouth...
@@iFlyFlightSims that's why you do research!
@@AlexKaneROTN why would he need to do research? it's a fucking video game.
The FPS on this is really good.
I always thought it was so interesting that this was a 3 way battle between Rebels, Skyhook, and Empire. I wonder if anything like that has happened in real life? 3 groups converging on the same battle.
Where did Luke have his X Wing fighter as he Lando and Chewbacca were rescuing Princess Leia?
I used to use the cheat to fly xwings and ties and just fly around dogfighting. Also, whoever got in to do voice acting basically landed a job in every game for the next 20 years. The guy who does Luke does it in practically every game, the guy who voices Dash also voices in KOTOR
6:24 uh did that TIE Fighter just mr pesident your missile?
Yes, yes he did.
The last level freaking sucked ... IDK how many times I hat to repeat it just to nether get throu ...
