- Mission 10 Skyhook Battle.
Ah we can take a break from challenge point hunting.
The first part were LEEBO is controlling the ship you are gonna lose a few lives, but keep firing back at them to regain them.
The second part were you control the Outrider is alright, take it slow when inside the arms of the Skyhook, one tap on anything and you may find yourself bouncing uncontrollably around the inside and explode.

The soundtrack, that last mission feeling, the fact that THREE factions are battling each other, with a friggin star destroyer and a spider-looking amazing starship over Coruscant...everything contributed to the epicness of this mission!

Wished they made this into a movie
I think George Lucas actually did want to make a Shadows of the Empire movie. The whole thing was a big multimedia project. Video game, comics, toys, and I think a movie. But I guess he decided to put all his focus on Episode 1
@@leftyfourguns I think the intention was to make a multi media Shadows of the Empire without having to make a movie. They definitely have could have made a movie, but that wasn’t the point of the project.
Fun fact: that star destroyer is supposed to be the Executor. Unfortunately, hardware limits couldn’t handle an entire Super Star Destroyer, so they changed it to a normal star destroyer and scaled down the skyhook.
After a republic commando remaster I'd wish for a shadows of the empire remake.
When you see the star destroyer, you know you're close to the skyhook.

I used to play this game as a kid in New Orleans when I had N64. Beautiful ass gameplay on Medium!
FYI, Dash Rendar faked his own death, after you pass the game on the hardest difficulty. Since Dash blow up the Skyhook and it is over. Luke, Leia, and the others assume that Dash died. He faked his own death and Leebo told him that everyone should know if he lives.
I love the space battles from this game and it reminds me of Return of The Jedi, when Lando attacks one of the Empire's super star destroyers with Wedge and the Rebels as assistance.

I want to see Dash Rendar from Star Wars Episode 8 or 9. I am so excited to see him. I hope Dengar, Bossk, IG-88, Boba Fett, and Four Lom returns in Episode 8 or 9.

Shadows of the Empire took place between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of The Jedi.
for some reason i did not make it to this level when i tried to play shadow of the empire on an emulator, i was stuck with the giant robot bossfight in the level right before this one.
Ubisoft must have ripped their logo animation from this game.

When this game came out in 1997, it was the only game in the world with a 3D space mission. It was so badass for the time.

Nope. Jedi difficulty eliminates the crosshairs when you are in 3rd person mode in the Outrider Turret Defense. This must be medium difficulty
It's probably the hard difficulty, because I don't remember the medium difficulty being that hard. Also, that final cutscene where Dash survives is only shown on higher difficulties and after all Challenge Points are obtained.
