I agree with many people here, I think the 'new' business class is a step backwards, but probably helps their profits, and if people still fly with them on that configuration they'll stick with it, no matter the complaints (see British Airways tired old business class which works on the same premise). Thanks for the video.
Ary S, Their Boeing 777 don’t go for long haul trips. Emirates has the biggest a 380 fleet which has 1 - 2 - 1 business class seat configuration. Their a 380s will go on long haul trips.
@@justanotherhuman9303 Well, I was on an Emirates 777 in business class with the 2-3-2 configuration back in 2017 when I traveled from South Africa to Dubai. That was a long haul flight.
Congratulation on your first press meeting! Keep making wonderful videos. I hope you will continue to take us to many fascinating and exotic places for a long long time.
The whole plane looks amazing, however the business class seat set up could be a potential nightmare with people having to climb over everyone to get out. Not what I expected!
I agree......I was looking forward to a series of business class fights next year in EK business; and I know the product will be good, but I am disapointed
I agree, not a fan of 2 by 3 by 2 configuration for Business class. If traveling alone, you don't get privacy and if you have a window seat, you would need to have to jump over the isle seat if they are sleeping and seat is flat?
Having flown First and Business on this plane from Stansted to Dubai I can say that First was simply amazing and Business wasn’t as dreadful as you might think. Yes isle access is a bit of a pain (although I was on the isle) but the IFE screen is very big for business and the seat does fully recline which it doesn’t do on the rest of the 777 fleet. Business is best flown on the A380 but the First experience is worth a try and if you bag a discounted ticket (you can get these directly from Emirates at sale times) it’s not as expensive as you think especially as you can get a return flying both classes.
Fabulous I flew business class last year and we where on an a380 top deck only about 10 people there but was in a 1-2-1 configuration. Which worked perfectly.
Why would airlines use a 2-3-2 configuration for business class these days? It's not an ideal setup for solo travelers who get stuck in the middle of the 3 seater (or the window seat) especially on long haul flights when other passengers may have their seats extended to sleep.
My best guess is that they can sell more seats and get more revenue. From passenger comfort view i would pick qatar airways business clas over this new emirates product. Even the "old" qatar business class without the Q suites. I really like this colour theme though and the seat looks great I wonder how long that light beige footrest leather will look sharp. Not the ideal color for footrest.
I agree! I just took a non-stop flight to and from Tokyo to JFK, and while the non-stop biz class fares were the same across all airlines, I researched only for cabins with a 1-2-1 layout so everyone has aisle access (A-N-A, awesome!). How on earth do you use the restroom if the person (whether you know them or not) is using the flat bed to sleep?!?!? it's nuts to spend that kind of money during a long haul flight to that kind of inconvenience.
I was just about to make the same comment. 2-3-2 in Business is a horrible layout. Who travels in a group of 3 seriously? As a frequent solo traveller i am very disaapointed by this new business layout and will now to look to Qatar for any solo travel in thier amazing solo product that almost feels like first clas
The new cabin looks fabulous and refreshing. Liked their first class suite. My only issue is it if you traveling with a companion. You won't be able to share a space together like they have in the current first class suite. But must say, the new design is really refreshing
I would so hack those virtual windows! can you imagine waking up and looking out on a vision of hell you're flying through. Or a squirrel hanging on for dear life. Maybe a star wars scene of a space fight. this list is endless. I crack myself up.
I once flew on the 777 from London Heathrow to New York JFK with American Airlines. Great plane!! ✈️✈️ I must say that the Emirates First Class suite is PHENOMENAL!! 👍👍
Redefining first & second class flying in an commercial airlines is truly the next level... Splendid video & praying that you will be able to experience it once its fully operational..
The business class cabin are gorgeous, BUT, why 2-3-2 for business class? Most 777 nowadays uses 1-2-1. So i probably wont fly their business then. But have to say, the color and material used here r very nice
The virtual windows and the fully-enclosed space in the Emirates suite is a nice touch but it seems smaller in comparison to Etihad's First Apartment. I don't like the glossy wood paneling or the business class configuration and IMHO, it's The Residence that's always been the true game changer for luxe air travel. A three-room cabin with personal butler and en-suite shower? Catch up, Emirates ... Etihad still has the edge.
I traveled first class on a cross country train trip once after getting a bump up from coach for only a $100 more each way which thankfully i was in a position to accept!! In first class I had a private berth with a floor-to -ceiling door and all meals included! They also did a turn down of bed for you at night. It was a definite improvement over coach anyday so I guess if you can afford it you should do it. Maybe one of these days I'll have an extra 5-10k to play with while going on a long flight-better be a long flight to get my money's worth-I'll go first class to experience this. That is if we don't all have private jets by then..........lol!!!
That first class suite would suite me. It was very clever of them to include real time cameras. Very clever! The middle seat will now not be a turn-off for people paying such huge sums. Thank you for the video!
Great video as always! With the flickering, try adjusting the frame rate on the camera. It's due to the electricity being AC at (probably) 50Hz and the camera filming at (somewhere between) 28-30 FPS. I find setting the frame rate to 50fps works nicely, though it could make the footage look more shaky, nothing stabilisation can't fix, it also will however increase file size which may or may not be a problem for you depending on what sd card size you use. Hope this is helpful, keep up the great content!
Thanks so much for the tip! I actually filmed this with a frame rate of 50fps :-). I did not notice the flickering while filming inside the cabin, otherwise, I would have changed the frame rate.
wow, thank you so much for sharing this with us, bad though you had to show the good food while I am sitting here starving ;-) So much luxury for a few hours flight. I want to become a Luxury Travel Expert. When I fly I sit in the back like a sarine in a can.
Hi the LuxTE, I agree that the aisle cabin for the guest is excellent due to the amazing feature of virtual windows mimicking the real view of the windows. I wonder how comfortable the economy class seats are though, they seem to have more room for the legs to stretch. There is quite a lot that I wish you had reviewed, such as the shower area and many more, but I understand you had limited time for 20 min. The first class is really impressive but how much does it cost to board that seat? Nevertheless, it was a great review and thank you for the video. Looking forward to the next one yet to come.
I like the colors in the econ class, they would be better in the first class, not all that shiny wood in business and first class. Tone it down a little. The TV's look like slot machines. The hostesses are beautiful, as always. Have a great flight. MM
All aisle access for business class is the only way to go - that leaves us with the fabulous Omen Air or Finn air for our trips to thailand 🇹🇭 🙏☺🙏☺🙏☺🇬🇧
4:55 the flickering lights are actually caused by your camera settings. There is a video setting that allows you to change between PAL and NTSC. This setting exists as lighting is different in certain countries. In PAL countries lights operate at 50Hz therefore you need to film in PAL which shoots 25fps or 50fps. Lights in NTSC Countries operate at 60Hz therefore you need to shoot at 30fps or 60fps in NTSC. Text time you're filming and you see flickering, assume that your camera is using the wrong setting and needs to be changed to PAL or NTSC.
Thank you very much for the information. I am aware indeed of what to do in case I notice flickering while filming (change camera settings). Unfortunately, I did not notice it while filming yesterday inside the Emirates planes (only afterwards, when I uploaded the clips). Sorry!
not a bad cabin, thought you might have blagged a flight to test. With two seats near the window, the isle seat person would have to move their legs to let the person out
The Business Class would be allright if youre travelling as a couple/family but as a solo traveller? No way!! The First Class however looks heavenly :-)
You have to learn to hoist yourself over your neighbour's seat, using whatever foot holds you can find around the seat! I had to do this while flying KLM business class! Alternatively...you simply wake up the person next to you and ask them to move!!!
Business class looks great but it’s not a great idea to have 3 seats in the middle. If you’re seated in the middle seat and the passengers either side of you are asleep, how do you get out???
I have flown Emirates many times on the 777 in business and first but can see they should not have 3 together but have done it the a380 in business and first is wonderful you need to do it before you can make a comment
I don’t believe that the first class is 40 ft2.. maybe you meant 40 ft3? The Etihad first class residence suites are 39 ft2 and offer and entire couch / bed, closet, and a separate seat. The one featured in this video is 1/2 the size in comparison.
13:(13*4) I don't know what you are talking about. What do I "make" or What do I "think"? If you meant, "What do I think?", then I like it, the middle first class suites don't have access to both of the isles, which I think is a little bit of a problem. I like the A380 cabins better, which are in a 1-2-1 configuration, for both first AND business class. In first class, you can separate the partition between the two passengers, or you can leave it down. Basically, you have an option, but in this kind, I do like the virtual windows, but I am a social person, and I don't really like fully enclosed suites.
Both business and first are absolutely brilliant!! Great video by you as expected!!! 👍😂😃🤩👏🏻🤣😀🤣👌😄🤣😀🤩👏🏻😂👍!! Now emirates are very competitive in first class against etihad!! But etihad has still best first class in the world !!! But in business class I think emirates have beaten the Etihad business class!!!!
The new first class is impressive but 2-3-2 in Business is a horrible layout. Who travels in a group of 3 seriously? As a frequent solo traveller i am very disaapointed by this new business layout and will now to look to Qatar for any solo travel in thier amazing solo product that almost feels like first class.
Zack Spencer Remember yes this is a very very bad layout but I think its only for the 777 not for the a380 + it wont be out for all the destinations until a couple of years .. so I think as a solo traveler too Emirates are the best rn.
I even remember an era when EK used to have 332s with that configuration. Considering that airbus bragged its A330/A340's advantage is the lack of a middle seat in business.
I used to travel with my Mom and my Dad in Business Class, so we would always have the three seats in the middle. Varig and Air France had a fantastic Business Class with that configuration, and we used to love it!
first looks insanely great, economy is pretty okay... but a 2-3-2 config for business is just so not cool anymore and the glossy wood without those overwhelming gold trimming is so much better p.s. maybe I'm just too fascinated with Qatar's Qsuite
Very nice but I would like to have seen your POV from being seated in a biz class seat. My concern is that those big IFE monitors don't seem to be polarized for privacy. Seems a non-video-viewing passenger could be subject to annoying light pollution from the video next to his.
Not too sure about the business class. There is very little privacy, and there should be a 1-2-1 layout. It seems more like an upgraded premium economy. First class is amazing though!
I was wondering about that. Seems to restrict the space so no good for the larger passenger. It should also present problems for the stewardesses reaching out to passengers without leaning over the aisle seats.
Not impressed with the layout. I prefer the staggered seating arrangement used by some other airlines, and by Emirates on the A380 in Business Class. Privacy is an issue for solo travelers in these cabins where everyone sits directly abreast. Solo travelers are the mainstay of true business air travel. Increasingly, what we call the “Business Class” cabin is not that at all. Airlines should call it what it is. How about “Premium Family Class,” or something like that? Maybe, “Families Traveling with Screaming Brats that Qualify for Upgrades Class.” Also, this is essentially the same layout as Emirates already has on its older triple-7’s, in Business.
3.57. My Dad had a name for that smile. He called it a 'shite smile' as in one who really isn't happy but is smiling regardless. Non Duchenne might be the more scientific vernacular, but I like 'Shite Smile'.
That was a cool review, first i thought you were flying first class suit!, how did you get acces to this guide, were you supposed to fly from brussels that day or did you get a special entry to the terminal? Also, have you ever got a sponsored flight from any company?
The B777 layout (2-3-2) is identical as the previous Emirates B777 configuration. The seats have a more sleek look though, and they recline to 180 degrees (while most of Emirates older B777 feature angled lie flat seats). However, the B777 configuration is inferior to Emirates' excellent staggered Business Class layout on its A380 planes (I believe this may be the product you are referring to).
I agree with all the comments about the business class section, namely the 2-3-2 design with the dreaded center seat has got to go! My complaint with the B-Class seating is that it still appears the seats are rather narrow. However, at least the armrests appear to have been padded, somewhat. Yes, those new First Class suites are exquisite .... for those few who can afford the high prices (or have enough miles for upgrades). As a USA citizen, I am disappointed Emirates does NOT partner with any major US airline. They discontinued their affiliation with United many years ago but they don’t seem to mind the loss in business that caused them. And their pricing is not that competitive ...... B-Class prices are way too high, IMHO. Overall, Emirates is growing too fast and it still is a little “rough around the edges” for an airline. And Dubai airport is chronically overloaded as many flights are constantly delayed.
Rolfadinho OTG: Sadly, Jet Blue does not serve Houston and even if they did(do) fly here, most folks in Houston would benefit more if Emirates would simply also partner with a MAJOR US airline like United, American, Delta, etc. I complained to an Emirates agent and he simply replied that their reluctance to partner is because “Emirates is a strong airline”. That sort of arrogance did not go over well with me ........
I agree with many people here, I think the 'new' business class is a step backwards, but probably helps their profits, and if people still fly with them on that configuration they'll stick with it, no matter the complaints (see British Airways tired old business class which works on the same premise). 2-3-2 Business Class is a sin. I hope they reduce the price of their Business Class on that config. 1-2-1 Business Class is the new era now
Ary S, Their Boeing 777 don’t go for long haul trips. Emirates has the biggest a 380 fleet which has 1 - 2 - 1 business class seat configuration. Their a 380s will go on long haul trips.
Yeah you are right
Qatar 1-2-1 Q-suites.......perfect.
@Amira Djiar totally agree! 2/3/2 unless with family. but individual traveller, no way!

true
2-3-2 in business = economy +
Imagine climbing over ppl who are in lie flat position. Hahahahahahaha!
I'll never fly business with 2-3-2 configuration. It's like economy class. Hard to get out if the next person is lying flat.
starr karl ,
starr karl I have the same problem with 2-3-2 configuration in business.
2-3-2 !? makes me want to wear a hig vis vest with the word 'SQUEEZE' on it.
Exactly. I’d rather fly premium economy, not much difference
I agree, was thinking the same thing.
If I want a middle seat, I'll go Coach. For the price of admission to Business Class, I expect a seat where I have unimpeded access to the aisle.

Mom, dad and daughter/son
first looks insanely great, economy is pretty okay... but a 2-3-2 config for business is just so not cool anymore and the glossy wood without those overwhelming gold trimming is so much better
p.s. maybe I'm just too fascinated with Qatar's Qsuite
the gold trim was so tacky
the perfect way to celebrate the 46th national day of the UAE today!
Interesting. I guess fluorescent lighting is still better than LED for aircraft for some reason?
Very nice but I would like to have seen your POV from being seated in a biz class seat. My concern is that those big IFE monitors don't seem to be polarized for privacy. Seems a non-video-viewing passenger could be subject to annoying light pollution from the video next to his.
I thought that was you in the thumbnail, was looking forward to seeing your face
Not too sure about the business class. There is very little privacy, and there should be a 1-2-1 layout. It seems more like an upgraded premium economy. First class is amazing though!
OMG, I had to laugh starting at about 9:08 when the audio is backwards until around 10:02! Great video overall, BTW.
spend $5k for a business seat and have to climb over someone to take a piss. im good
I was wondering about that. Seems to restrict the space so no good for the larger passenger. It should also present problems for the stewardesses reaching out to passengers without leaning over the aisle seats.
Sparky your broke ass can't afford it anyway.
Actually 5k wont get you on this plane
Trust me, I just checked, its fucking over priced
U little poor guy. For a Billionaire $ 5K = $ 5 that is the Real reason you are still so poor. Hope you got it Now.
Emirates is another crook of an airline. Qatar is no wonder the worlds best 5 star airline!
I can't agree more. Probably it is only designed for company chartered flight. Otherwise, it would be horrible design and experience.
3.57. My Dad had a name for that smile. He called it a 'shite smile' as in one who really isn't happy but is smiling regardless. Non Duchenne might be the more scientific vernacular, but I like 'Shite Smile'.
again at 7.25. The 'thank you for coming but if you could all get the fuck out now that would be grrrreat' smile.
That was a cool review, first i thought you were flying first class suit!, how did you get acces to this guide, were you supposed to fly from brussels that day or did you get a special entry to the terminal? Also, have you ever got a sponsored flight from any company?
Thx. I was invited by the Emirates PR team to have a look onboard their new plane. No, I have never received any sponsored flight from an airline.
It seems that airlines generally invite successful youtubers (not only just the major medium) for increasing the effect of promotion.
Your videos are so good!
Thank you!
Elegant Emirates 👏👏👏👏
Nice opening
Please review a Garuda Indonesia
5:08 Catherine, tu peux activer steuplé ? So elegant !
Great fotage! tell me please what gimball do you use. Thanks.
I don't use a gimball; apparently, I have a stable hand :-)
@@luxurytravelexpert ok, definitely 😋 and your camera make and model, please.
Lovely trip, thank you for sharing!
The suites look quality, but the business class is much more crowded than on their previous 777 configuration. Interesting move.
Charlie H, does JetBlue count?
Rolfadinho OTG: Sadly, Jet Blue does not serve Houston and even if they did(do) fly here, most folks in Houston would benefit more if Emirates would simply also partner with a MAJOR US airline like United, American, Delta, etc. I complained to an Emirates agent and he simply replied that their reluctance to partner is because “Emirates is a strong airline”. That sort of arrogance did not go over well with me ........
On my bucket list.
