Bro my KD is 0.71. Tt should be higher but A I can't handle recoil to save my life and B I panic in most gunfight situations so tend to be the 'medic' of the team and avoid gun fights and let my team mates deal with them, if they all die at least I can run annd hide long enough to bring them back xD

I'm 48 years old and I've been playing COD since the beginning. I really think I'm trash at the game but I have a 1.36 KD in BR and resurgence, maybe I'm better than I thought. Lol

The fact that you think you're trash but you're literally in the top 20% in the world just goes to show how insanely difficult cod is to actually be considered good.
Im a 40 year old with a 2.27 KD. I never had that high of a KD in multiplayer or any other BR. While my reaction time has maybe slowed (or maybe not) the biggest difference is practicing my centering, rotations, and spending a little time watching elite streamers and how they play has helped a lot. I think you can overcome reaction time with using your brain, something so many players don’t do while playing.
Right if you’re not good in gun fights just use your brain and play smart I’ve always said this
I don't believe your reaction time slows down that much as he said, professional fighters hit their prime in their 30s and obviously reaction time is important when it's the difference between getting knocked out unconscious lol I'm 37 and I don't notice any difference in my reaction time. Sure it will start to slow down 40+ tho 🤷♂️
I’m also 40 and with a 2.2kd and do exactly the same, I need to play very regular to make sure I’m keeping my game sharp…have a week off and that drops dramatically haha

When I think about why I just died, occasionally I'm out gunned, but usually it's I went somewhere I shouldn't have, like the middle of a field w/o plates, or chall'd what I thought was a solo and walked into a room with a full squad.
Great one! I am 58 and realizing that my reflexes are slower, I've been focusing on placement and trying to break the camera. I went from .89 to 1.1. I went from plat three to diamond and got smashed! Back to the drawing board......

it's also inaccurate. Should say higher KDR than 97% of accounts. There's no way to say that 1 account = 1 player, and most low KDR accounts are probably throwaway accounts since accounts are free.

Yea he over exaggerates that lol Might lose a fraction of a milasecond after 35 but nothing crazy noticeable... Professional boxers/mma fighters hit their prime in early 30s where reaction time is the most important lol Guys have won championships in their 40s so I don't think it slows down that much 🤷♂️

The average K/D may be a 0.86 overall, but I'd LOVE to see a graph of the K/D spread for people who have played in the last 3 months. It would look completely different.
And if you take out the 7 years old kids and the 50 years old dad's.

One thing that held me back for awhile was not utilizing hip fire enough in close fights

Warzone 1 I had over 600 wins in rebirth and had a 2.07 KD. I would win 1 in every 4 games. Now I only have 80 wins with a 1.55KD and 1 win for every 8 games.
The team stacking and the player base getting better overall makes the games feel super sweaty

Because no matter where you push from you'll surprise them. In Verdansk to surprise people you had to come from a couple different angles.

Same. I was watching old warzone 1 clips I had saved. The game just was different. More mid/long range fights and most people not using movement like it is now.

Here’s the thing NOBODY talks about. KD is a function of who you play against, but you play against different players based on skill. So two KDs of the same value can mean totally different things. Every comparison between two KDs is apples to oranges
That's true for example if you regularly play with better friends your K/D will be a lot lower than what it should be and the opposite is true the other way around.
I also personally believe score per minute to be the biggest factor in the matchmaking. An aggressive 1.5kd player will not be in easier lobbies than a campy 2kd player.

Yup was 1kd the entire wz 1 but when they reset stats im sitting at 2kd rebirth and big map. This a great point
Facts I didn't understand resurgence or warzone at all until like season 3 or 4 this year and I played all year I played and played until I could compete in ranked now I'm d1 and my kd is 1.3ish
2.9 in resurgence and 2.6 in warzone. Usually do solos and sometimes quads with randoms. Everytime i play with randoms i barely get decent team mates. Mostly waaay lower skill level.
Same i have almost 3 kd on resurgence and I prefere to play solo squads/duos, cause randoms are just not skilled enough

I'm a 2.3 and in no way do I feel like the top 3% of the world. If I am, my lobbies are always filled with the top 1% because I am no where near as good as my enemies.

They aim assist bs, perhaps that's the reason. Even someone who is objectively bad can feel like a good player because of it. Miss Warzone 1 when it was much better balanced.
2.12 and i definitely have some cracked lobbies but i understand it , it’s the only way for us to get better is through engaging them , even for a 2 kd player we’re hella aggressive so i say just keep doing what you doing 🗣️

JGOD making this 51 year old feel good with 1.24 BR K/D, 1.09 Resurgence K/D, and about 20 wins. 90% with no wins is crazy, I had no idea.
That’s just a function of the fact it takes everyone who has ever played warzone into account. I’m sure if you put up certain parameters like 10 hours of playtime, a vast majority of those players would indeed have a win

I have a 1.8, my squad is all .98s. They get punished and so do I. We tend to find ourselves in lobbies with 1.5s and higher. I feel bad for them. It's hard the whole time
I have a 2.62, and literally every player that kills me has an iridescent rank emblem. Super sweaty on here lately. It's not a ton of fun. This whole month hasn't been fun, probably the worst month of cod I've had. I went like 2 weeks without a win. When I usually get a couple wins a day. I don't mind playing sweat players. It's challenging and can be fun, but not every damn game. Then you add the latency and desync when fighting good players, and it's no longer about skill and all about connectivity, and that usually goes to the other players in those close gunfights. Then I'm stuck asking myself how I lost that gunfight even tho I was shooting first. It's a ton of fun.

Im 40 y/o with a 2.3 rebirth and 2.15 big map. I mainly play solos. I wish this game was out when I was 17 lol, I can only imagine what my KD would have been then...

That’s crazy! I started warzone 1 with a .6KD my first real COD I got into, now I average anything from a 2.5-3KD depending on the day. I’ve gotten consistently better since movement has been brought back.
That's awesome man but also how have you managed to jump that high in kd? I started ni warzone 1 with a 0.12 kd...mines now 0.71 xD My movement is better but I can't handle 90% of gunfights im in. Very rarely i'll pull off a move that'll make me look like I'm hacking and being very sweaty but that's always a 1 in a million xD
I had a 0.28kd 3 months into warzone 1 but sitting at 1.89 now, was over 2kd for a while!

@@justanothergamer1723I was around 0.75 when warzone 2 started on ps4 but got a very expensive PC and thought I would jump to a 3kd lol The best thing that helped me was the attachment for my controller! Still use ps4 controller but have 2 back paddles that I use for jump shots, drop shots and once i got used to it passed 1kd pretty fast. Kept practicing getting better with movement and aim and finally passed 2kd at the beginning of warzone 3

I prefer to look at how many kills per game a player gets rather than KD tbh. That's how you can tell if someone is good at the game
One of my tactics are once I enter a good fight, depending on the distance between us I won’t even fight them back until they are vulnerable

This is actually great information i have been at at steady 1.2 most times but i used to just be .77-.8 form watching vetter players and taking plays from them.
I'm 46 years old my KD varies from about 3.8 to about 4.5 age is just a number if you listen to everything that he's trying to tell you and implement it in your game your KD will increase your age is not going to hold you back from getting above 2.0 experience beats reaction time.
Open API was so fun I still have cod tracker bookmarked to appreciate my improvement since the Haunting of Verdansk 2020
Im 32 yrs old. I used to have a 2.8kd when Rebirth first came out. Now that it's come back, I have dropped to 1.3kd. I attribute this mostly to age but Ive also noticed the lobbies are alot harder now. Still get daily wins though.
The thing is is that K/D is a “all time stat” meaning your K/D is calculated based on how many all time kills you you have compared to all time deaths in that specific game mode. So if when you started playing you absolutely sucked like me, then your k/d might not reflect what your actual skill level is because you died so much when you started playing.

In terms of ranked warzone, I never focus on k/d, and simply make sure I get atleast top 3/5 every game for placement points. Stacking the whole time can get you squad wiped with randoms quickly even if you have a 1 k/d, the real difference that makes the greats is the wins. The greats are winning most of their games, which is very hard with randoms.

@JGOD You forgot to mention the "secret rating" in Ranked. Hidden Performance Rating (HPR) is a thing and it drastically effect SR gains and losses. It seems to work sort of as intended above Plat 2 but from Gold 2 to Plat 1 it seems busted and that is why there are so many folks that are "hard stuck" at those ranks. I think that is why it so common to see Plat 1's and 2's in lobbies with hard stuck Gold 2's and 3's and the Plats get absolutely spanked. The HPR is hard to overcome and doesn't seem to consider player improvement. There should also be a slight modifier to SR gain for cueing solo and getting teamed with randos versus cuing with a premade squad. Just my thoughts. Great content brother. Love your stuff.

You might have done this before, but I’d personally be interested in a video that breaks down how to find your “perfect sensitivity” and “ads multipliers”. I’ve seen other streamers make these but tbh you’re the only one I trust that isn’t gaslighting us.

The shocking falsehood is how most people think that their K/D is an organic experience that they have complete control over in COD. Spoiler alert… They don’t.

Great video and well overdue since they removed the stats API from warzone. Few stand out points. At 08:20 you can see how good this player is, he gets a quick flash on high alert and realises its coming from top of prison but that by stepping forward slightly the out of view cabinet will give him cover. No panic. 10:10, my KD (ps5) went from 1.6 to 1.2 with the introduction of one shot snipers. It never dawned on me how negatively dropping back on my gear might be affecting me. I'll stop doing that from now on. 17:00 i had no idea about the free items. What a waste.

I agree that whether you are an above average player or not is mostly on you and your ability to be able to realize your mistakes and get to work on them instead of blaming the game all the time, but for sure, another important factor is the team you're playing with. Bad teammates can have a negative impact on your overall performance, as it might feel you're always outnumbered. Which also definitely affects the confidence factor you mentioned.

Important to understand, below the average is "below average" and above the average is "above average". Also note that "the average" is average.
My crew and I struggled during the Kar meta, we hate sniping metas. We back with the STG!

I haven't played since the first warzone, I am now 42 and getting back at it. 1.35 so far in solo big map. I did a quad last night and forgot how to revive teammates 😂 I keep my mic off but the guy got really upset I didn't revive him 😂😢

The ranked curve discussed at 2:28 might be a bit flawed. There are many people good enough to end up higher than gold, but they only play ranked once in a while. So while rank is somewhat a measure of skill, it is also a measure of time invested in ranked play.
I’ve been running a 1.7 and thinking I’m an average player but I guess not by this 😮

I am now a 4kd player in ranked hitting top 250 on console in rebirth ranked in season 4.
I gott alot better playing with paddles and learning positioning and map awareness I think a 1.5kd will always have good aim but game sense, positioning movement gets you way above the 2 kd mark

I always get two load outs with the Orion key card but I throw both of them in diff directions on diff sides of map
As a 1.47 KD player, I’m 44 years old and I’m completely convinced that I just don’t have the reaction time to improve beyond a 2.0 KD.
I’ve dropped 20 kills in every mode and still feel that way. But my KD was a .72 in WZ1 so at least I’ve improved a little.
