I Can't Overcome It, I Can't Deal With Living Here Anymore!!

- Well it was just one of those bad days that just kept getting worse. On my way out the door, I grabbed a hold of the railing to my building and got my hand covered in sticky brown paint. There was no sign posted to let me know, except an old sign by the intercom (which I wouldn't see going out the door) about wet paint from last week. So I had to find a place to wash my hands as I was heading towards the train and of course that wasn't easy as places aren't friendly here. And then greeted with another BUM in the restroom at the train station, of course among the many other sad souls I had to pass by on the street walking there.
Of course on the $outh $hore in Babylon & Bellmore everything was nearly peachy keen. I decided to make the huge mistake of relying on EBT Inc to get me to the sunset at Belmont Lake and back. Getting there the 3 bus left late due to usual EBT driver antics, then the driver almost passes my stop after I ring the bell to get off (should have been a sign right there). After less than an hour at the park I was waiting for the 3 again to take me to Deer Park Rd & Nicolls by the Shoprite, but it wound up being nearly 40 minutes late due to a mechanical issues. I then had to get some things at Shoprite real fast and then get the 5 bus to the Deer Park LIRR station. Unfortunately the last bus of the night, and more unfortunately, the bus driver decided to be a jerk and pass me by and leave me stranded.
I had to ask for help from family to get me home, and once I arrive back to a hot building and warm alley (still have the a/c on) there's creepy guys in hoodies hanging out on my front step.
Oh & it smells like weed.
I should've known I wouldn't be able to deal with this neighborhood & this town.
I can't take living here anymore. This is my last summer here I am moving out one way or another and it may have to be to NEW JERSEY if I can't win the battle against the "snobs" for denying me housing in a nice happy place on the South Shore.

you need to stop confronting these homeless guys. you yelling at the guy who was already in the bathroom could have caused you serious problems. you don't look like you can properly defend yourself you look elderly. Many of these homeless people can snap at any moment and they have absolutely nothing to lose. I have seen other videos of you recording them and yelling at them so its obvious you do this often..... One of these days you'll really regret it.....
Sorry for the earlier comment I made before finding out your relative took you home. If you do get forced out there are nice places in NJ near pines like Florence and Burlington, they just would be the west pines on the other side of Toms River. That area has great transportation and is not like Camden or Trenton

Sorry to hear about your terrible day. We've all had days like that sometimes. Some days it feels like you shouldn't have bothered getting out of bed. Hang in there John, things will get better.

I feel sameway about the state I live in just over similar things. I am looking for a rv to get me and my family out of the state we are in. I just can't deal with being stuck around rude judgemental ppl at all times. We would love to travel around and see other states 😀 at least with a nice RV, we can move anytime we want and not feel stuck, you know 🙂
Yeah having an RV sounds nice, but it's also a big expense, and certainly not something I could do
@PinePowerLI OH, and if you do look at them, make sure to do your research before buying to make sure someone isn't overpricing or not showing you if something is wrong with it things like that. Know what to look for, and you can always get the vin numbers and check history on it.
The woman in the office building bathroom sounds like a real jerk. She should have let you just wash your hands and she was being a bitch with you. The bus driver that skipped over you needs to be reported. He is discriminating against people and he will do it again if no one stops him. Some real shitty people out there these days.
Mineola isn't a friendly place that's for sure. Despite being preppy I find people in the $outh $hore enclaves much more pleasant to deal with, even if they can be snobby at times, they do behave like human beings unlike some of the ppl we have in Mineola. In RVC or Bellmore people tend to stop when people are crossing the street, in Mineola they just keep going and try to hit you. That bus driver has passed up people before and I will make sure it will be his last.
Mineola is dark and lonely many businesses closing it’s sad not what it used to be in the older days
Have you thought about moving to a much smaller town in a much smaller state. Cost of living is a lot cheaper and people are a lot nicer. Get yourself a bicycle and never take public transportation again.
I can't ride a bike, balance issues. I can't be far from the Pine Barrens. So if it's not Long Island it would be New Jersey.
Did you make it home last night from the pine barrens or did you spend the night in Deer Park because of EBT

You are not smart if you can't move to long Beach then please move to Milford Connecticut they are served by Bridgeport busses and Connecticut transit busses. Even Bridgeport Connecticut would be good cause the train goes to grand central a short walk to the portathorthy
