Excellent playthrough. It helped me. One trick I picked up from other players that I'd like to pass on to prospective advice for Mario U Deluxe players: while wearing the acorn suit, do a spin jump before going into a glide. It provides extra height without having to go into that annoying flutter after doing an upward swoop and keeps that move open for even extra height if needed.

Finally Nintendo made a game that doesn't involve Mario being player 1! But, Nintendo should also make a game where you can select anyone as player 1. And besides this game has better integrated features like Luigi being able to stay longer in the air and (maybe) better level design.

That would make more sense, especially since in Dorkly Bits, Daisy is always complaining that Peach is the one getting kidnapped and Mario always goes after her. She's always pissed that she never gets kidnapped and Luigi getting to save her.

What I like about this game compared to Mario Bros U is the fact that the levels are shorter and they’re more challenging. It just makes it more refreshing imo and honestly, makes me like this game more than Mario Bros U because of that.

Getting all the star coins is a bit challenging, but other than that its mostly some chill fun.
There is a challenge mode though, getting gold on all of it is pretty hard, especially for the later challenges. I got the game a couple of days ago, and while Ive almost finished both storylines 100%, Ive only got half of the challenges on gold

Since Lost Levels and Luigi's Mansion, it is super nice to have Luigi all by himself on a quest to save Peach. I have the NSMBU version that contains this, but I play this game way more often as I love Luigi and it feels a lot more unique. I beat both 100%.

If I were to rate the game I'd give it a 9/10 and heres why:
If you play as Luigi you have less time to complete the stages.whats WORSE is that Luigi slides around on the ground,thats bad because what if you slide of off a platform and die? Sure you can play with Mario physics but if you do you won't be able to flutter jump.
If your going to make it the time limit shorter,then at least have something that can boost the time limit (Only boss battles boost the limit) like coins. Thats my only complaint! The game is great!

If you play as luigi you flutter jump and that's good but you can do that and that's why it has a hard time limit because listen to to bmoney64.
yeah when i pre-ordered it i expected it to be easy and then when i played the first level, it rushed me at once with a 100-second timer (i saw a screenshot of the game before playing it that showed the game's first level and it confused me when i saw the timer had 100 seconds left)
This game plays it too safe to be considered a 9/10, just like the rest of the 'new' series. It is still a good game though.
yes, but i guess it's a harder version of new super mario bros. U since the levels themselves are more difficult, although shorter to allow you to make it to the end within 100 seconds (the timer also is a little slower than in new super mario bros. U; it takes a whole second to go down one second)
