I've been really surprised that every single review I've seen for this and the t7 have been super positive and everyone seems extremely impressed with them
Love the brightness and the lightness of the monitor! However, my Lumix S5 can’t record 4K 60 fps when the Osee T5 plus is connected via the HDMI to Micro HDMI that came with the monitor. Is this coz of the cable that came in the pack? What am I doing wrong? Please advise.
There shouldn't be an issue with recording internally with the S5 in 4K 60 - the display should be consistent. Its different than the NINJA V in that way
@@StephenBell_video yes I can still record internally. But I have to disconnect the hdmi cable to the monitor first. Osee confirmed that the monitor won’t support beyond 4K 30 fps. And that means the camera won’t be able to record as well. This sucks😒
@@gingercat_films I have a GH5 and a GH5II. Both permits a different resolution on the hdmi output. I have an old Feelworld which doesn't support 4K@50p so I set HDMI output to 1080 and I record 4K@50p 4:2:2
@@gingercat_films Hi ! Did you manage to make it work ? it's supposed to, as you can choose the resolution you'r sending to the hdmi out of the camera. On the S1H when i'm looking at the hdmi setting while filming in 4k50p I can choose 4k25p for the hdmi.
The battery out option is virtually pointless. The DC connector is so recessed and thin that you can only use their own adapter - which you can't find anywhere for sale.
any issues with buzzing noise? I just picked one up and I am noticing a buzz on mine... worried it will be picked up on a shotgun. Wondering if its just my copy of the monitor or something consistent across the product
@@Luke_van_de_Rest I’m not sure if they updated their site in the past few weeks, but I did try what they had up there and it didn’t help. They sent me a newer version and it fixed things. Now to figure out if I can get 1080p to display full screen out of my A7iii…..
What monitor do you use for mirrorless cameras?
hows the latency with the s5?

I just got one and love it (joystick aside) lol packed feature set for hobbyist like me 👍😀
Thanks, it was really informative. Can you tell me what does it do when i try to record 4k60?
It is the best! I use it on every Wedding and it rocks
Great review! How loud is the fan? You are the first review to mention a fan. My mic will be right next to the fan.
There is no fan built-in.
Without a battery can I plug a usb-c cord in to my camera and then into the monitor. Would that work or do I need a battery?
hi. Can you replay your footage through the monitor? I cant with mine
On playback should work through your cameras media display
Long review of the monitor but no mention that it can also take Canon LP-E6 batteries?
Indeed it can use those, there are multiple ways you can power it, do you want me to name all the dtap power adapters too?
@@StephenBell_video No, just include the most important info.

Thanks for your video. this is really what I've been looking for. Noticed it doesn't have a DC in so can you power it only by USB-C without a battery?
It states DC-IN 3V via USB C - you can definitely charge via USB C or also through a dummy DTap
Looks good bro
Thanks man!
Interesting! DOes it have a fan? That's the thing that bugs me most about my Ninja V.
It does, but it is very quiet! No where near as loud as the Ninja V
@@StephenBell_video Actually it does not have a fan.
Howmany back up time get from a Nap-F 550 battery in full 1000 nits
I found I was clocking 3 - 3:30 hours
so it has a full size HDMI jack? Will it work with a GH6?
Does it have a fan? Noise?
can you switch into vertical orientation for the menu UI?
As far as I can see no, but I haven't played around with the menu UI in detail
Just one 1/4 20 threaded hole ?

Has anyone figured out how to update new firmware yet
osee-tech.com/products/t5-plus-firmware
can you still record in 4k/60?
Not paired with the S5, but you can paired with the s5 Mark II 🤷♂️
@@StephenBell_video Is that sure ? I dont see why cause you can choose to hdmi out in 4k25 while still recording in 4k50p for example.
Does your monitor save MySet tool settings, without a SD card in it?
Did you fix this? I have the same problem.
@@Luke_van_de_Rest Yep. You need to email them and request the latest firmware update.
