It’s definitely difficult in the winter. I might get one that is for my little Weber kettle. So I can use it when it’s cold out. We like to do whole chickens and use it for soup.
I will be the first to admit I know NOTHING about grilling, but $75 for that feels like a steal. That chicken looked GOOOOD, and I love the way you saved it by rigging up that hook. Nicely done, my friend! 😁
I don't know too much about it either. Lol. Most of the cooks I share are the first time with no practice. I like this little rotisserie. Thank you sir! ✌️
Great lookin chicken Rob. What I've done before when my spit kept coming out of the motor was take another one of those collars that hold the prongs in place and put one opposite the motor. It'll hold it there real good. Great little grill.👍👍
Amateur to Expert right there Rob! Rotisserie chicken is so good and not only did you successfully rotisserie one, you also mastered the issue of the rod coming out of the motor! 👍🍻
It matters when it’s cold outside. Which you could just add more coals around the perimeter. You definitely get that smoke flavor. I actually take the legs off it and put it in my offset smoker and close the lid. Works like a charm.
You know rotisserie chickens are good because there's a rotisserie chicken area inside every grocery store in America. Great to be able to do them at home
Hey Rob😃The price was right and it is a good size😁That chicken looks good😋With each cook you will learn more👍🏻Have fun with your new toy😀ROCK ON!!!!!!!🤘🏻🤙🏻✌🏻
I just bought one today and I'm currently seasoning it, but when I saw it and looked at the box, I had the same idea as you but with a smaller chicken, I don't believe it was a design flaw or nor on your part but just kind a big chicken for it, im glad it worked well though and definitely love the vid bud💯💙
@timburton8571 I’ve been using mine as a little charcoal grill as well. Once in a while I’ll take the legs off and stick it in my offset smoker and close the lid. It fits and works great for the rotisserie.
I absolutely loved this video! Very cool device, I just love it! You did a great job without your "crew"! I would really love to see more use of this in future videos,..this video truly was great!
Well, trying to give Tori a break. I'm very demanding. Lol. Gotta learn more about editing. This one would have been better if I was able to show the final product. We just have so much going on right now. Honestly, it's exhausting. Oops, sorry. I went off there. Appreciate your support Mr. Detmurds. Be sure to watch the next review. Hopefully Wednesday.
Thanks Sal. I actually have a bunch of chips and chunks. I got some Maple. Never used that kind of wood. Not sure why I didn't throw any in there. Next time for sure. ✌️
It was irritating at first but I got past it. Lol. I knew I wasn't going to get a real high quality product at that price. Sure is fun to use. Thanks man!
Quick question about the motor on this grill. I'm strongly considering adding this bbq for outdoor grilling and to take with me to places. I noticed it struggling a little bit with the bird. I am going to try it for gyros (gyros would stack more evenly on the spit). Was it the uneven weight of the grill causing it to fight a bit and then fall down? Does it struggle with certain weights? let me know your experience with that as in every other way I think it looks like great value for dollar!
Yes sir. I do believe I didn’t have the chicken centered properly. I can tell you it’s not the strongest motor in the world. I’ve used it probably five times now and it’s good for the money.
@@PoorGuyOutdoor Thank you for the honest response. Does it say the wattage by chance or power of the motor? I can't seem to find. The price is great and I like the size of the grill but if am bit worried about overloading the spit. Gyro/Shwarma can get heavy would have to manage that.
I am a huge fan of rotisseries. However, I do believe that if they are cheaply made, inherently we will always have problems with them. I own a Ron Popiel showtime rotisserie. It is an indoor electric rotisserie that actually runs pretty good. I have done chickens, boneless leg of lamb, pork loins, and it works pretty good. I would like to see more of yours, Rob, because if it seems to work good, I need to go buy one of those. There’s nothing better than a piece of meat rotisseried over open Kohl’s.
Neat grill. Well that whole thing of it popping out of the motor just isn’t right. Shouldn’t have to scientifically center it to make it work properly. I like your little hack. Great idea to use the hook thingy. The chicken was looking pretty great. Don’t think my local goobie Walmart had any of these grills. You did really good on the video! Now get your camera person back pronto! Lol no, seriously, you did a great job!
New sub, I have been looking at rotisseries for my 22 inch Weber and seen you Sub'ed my channel (thanks alot). Thought Id check out your channel. Glad I did. I think you have made up my mind. 75.00 for another grill with rotisserie, yeah, Ill give it a shot for the price. Im a "poor guy" also, LOL! By chance do they mention the weight limit on that grill?
Hey man! Thanks! I'm pretty sure the weight limit is 20 pounds. I'm not convinced I can recommend this or not right now. It works for now. I've done 6 cooks so far. I'll be checking your stuff out soon brother.
I was looking at this last month! Thanks for your review! 👍
I personally think it's worth the money. Appreciate you. ✌️
Great job I see Olive came out to help. Lol, you'll enjoy your new rotisserie.
She's with us quite a bit. Oh. Marie, can I hand wash it?
Got my first rotisserie for Christmas this year. Can't wait for winter to end so I can start playing with it.
It’s definitely difficult in the winter. I might get one that is for my little Weber kettle. So I can use it when it’s cold out. We like to do whole chickens and use it for soup.
Your video makes me jealous! The one I got is meant to go over my fire pit. Now I wonder if I need one like yours also.
@@bbqelevated it’s a cheapo from Walmart. I don’t see it lasting very long but it was only 77 bucks! Lol
@@PoorGuyOutdoor Sounds great to me!
you cant beat a $75 rotisserie, it opens up so many options and I think you started off great👍🏼🍻🇺🇸
Thanks brother. I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to more cooks. Super easy. ✌️🇺🇲
My bearded bro got a new toy!! So cool. Stay safe and I’ll catch ya on the next one!! 👊🏼👍🏼😋🍻
You know me. I'm a cheapo. Lol. Thanks Brian! ✌️
Your going to love rotisserie cooking great flavor. Looked good Rob
I'm already hooked. Lol. Appreciate you Lance. ✌️
Although we didn't see the finished product, it was looking really good Rob! 😋👍
The video was a mess but the chicken turned out fantastic. Liking this little unit. Thanks a lot Charlie!
That's awesome, I have been wanting a rotisserie, and for 75 bucks? Wow, great deal!
Hey man! Obviously not top of the line stuff here. It did the job. Good enough for what I'll use it for. Appreciate you my friend ✌️

Wal mart had these marked down to 38 bucks this past weekend. I bought one but haven't tried it. Great job looked great. I could almost smell it.
38 bucks! Nice. You could buy two for what I paid. Darn it! Lol. Good luck with it. It seems ok. Appreciate you ✌️
Wait, you wrote this comment last year? I just got mine this past Sunday. 32 bucks man, marked down from 75.

Hey Rob... great looking yard bird 👍
Hey guys! Thanks so much. First time using a rotisserie. Appreciate you ✌️
Poor MacGyver With a Expert Rotisserie! LOL! Well done!
Ha! Love it. Thanks Tom! ✌️
I concerned about it not having sides or a top. ( not enclose ) Does it matter very much ? Also how is the smokey, charbroil flavor ?

You will have fun with that Rotisserie and it is cool that it is portable. 👍👍👍
It's just a little thing. Good for what we need. Thanks man! ✌️

Hey man! Thanks for the comment. This little rotisserie is pretty cool. I’ve used it a lot. Try putting some sausage or hot dogs on it. Works great!
I just got mine marked down to 32 bucks. I guess my ol' lady was right, telling me to wait.

I did not get the bottom grate. Did anyone else not get one? Did you buy it separately?
I’m sorry. Yeah. I got mine.
I think they quit including them. Without it, it's hard to keep the fire lit.
Nothing wrong with that Rob! next time you go to Walmart get some wood chips. Rootboy Approved! 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺

90 min cook max lower the spit rig a side basket for coals and drop a drip tray
