Their sound is so organic and I can’t believe how underrated they are
That's Hollywood for you. They make musicians and music groups that they like.
I mean that Hollywood chooses to make certain singers and music bands famous that they like with a commercialized cookie cutter sound.
I’m just 72 hours into knowing about these guys, have been binge listening for 3 days straight, more and more impressed by the hour, this song just kills it!! Good luck boys, excited for your future!!!
Ditto.
I'm just fascinated by how talented one band can be wow.
This song is their masterpiece to date..... This isn't my favorite performance, but the energy in the last 3rd of the song is absolutely bonkers!~
Can I ask Your Favourite Performance of Small Victories Please ? Thanks
@@sleepwalker6825 yea great comment!!! Would love to know a better performance lol
I have seen a few Versions of " Small Victories " and by far and away this is the best .. The Guitar outro on this Version is top drawer .. Brings a new element to the same Song
The sound mix is incredible.
When I saw them live they were already playing this extended version it's so cool to finally see this in a proper recording now!
Really enjoy their music, Brian and Michael really have something special, can only imagine how far it will take them, they’re so talented and young right now. Goddamn Brian can really play his guitar, this is what music needs to bring back, the solos
he rarely plays solos in recorded stuff which is a shame. theres a really incredible one in tailor made and also in foolin around, but i think brian has really reached his guitar god status around october december and is barely showing off. when i saw them live i was blown away and ive always been a sucker for guitar solos, so its a waste when they leave them out on the record. For example, this song on the record is literally the same but without the solo over the top of it,but since hearing this done live im always picturing the solo on top of it. Brian: put solos on the next record ffs
@@edvaughan1035 ffs fer sure
I’m in my late 50’s and grew up on a staple diet of 79’s rock (which I still listen to). Stumbled across these guys when watching them on Jooks Holland shoe and loved them. This is a wonderful version and the guitar solo is just so good. It’s great to see young musicians playing music like this.
This song is so good.
I have a major crush on Brian - his voice, his shredding, his Keith from The Partridge Family good looks…and man, this song is something special. That part in the chorus where he sings “Day-ay-aaaa…ayayah-ayay…AY” reminds me so much of that Seals and Croft “Summer Breeze” song.
What I wouldn’t give to go back to being a kid in the 70s. 🥺
I've got a crush on him too. :) I'm a kid in the 2020s, and I love 70s rock.
@@lydias8303 You’ve got great taste, kid. 👌
@@TinaHyde Thank you :)))
Brian’s guitar playing is so fun to watch
What a delicious song🎶❤😻
I just can't stop listenin' this
This song has it all. So frickin' amazing!
I am utterly stunned by this performance. No words.
Amazing!
Such a solid performance. Couldn't be more perfect!
Who are the nine morons who didn't like this?!?
The jam starting at ~3:15 is a religious experience.
Pat Burroughs amen to that, thought I was at church for a sec
Jimmu page level of going for everything. His misses . Make it that much better. Love this record
Proper face melter... unreal
it's up to 17 morons now
Same song at 3:15, just their extended version.
The wait has killed me 😭😭😭 all hail the Twigs!
The lemon twigs are awesome!
Tune your high E string, Michael,
Hope you've eaten what I cooked for you,
Take care,
Mom.
wtf are these chords lol
best live performance in the universe
Bring this back to your live shows.
Bloody hell, this is magnificent! Thanks fellas!! And thanks KEXP!!!
Best live ever
WOW, nice work!
Far out Man Far Out! RockStars!!!
ahhhhhh sooooo goooood howwwwwwww
i was not expecting that shredding. hot damn!
WOW !
Brilliant
Thank ye sirs xx
Wow!!!
Hooo Yeaaah
I think they are brilliant. I’m not surprised they are underrated in a world that thinks Nicky Minaj is music.
First time I listened to them on a random playlist thought that they were some indie band from lates 70s. Cool sound
Es una obra maestra esta canción
They would have recorded that sexy as guitar solo in the studio version.
この若さでこのセンスとテクニックはヤバいやろー、憧れますわあ
Siiiiiiiick
Incredible....they should tour with The Struts, and White Reaper. I would pay some serious coin for that show.
The arrow that pierces...the apple. The celebration of mythical deities selfless collective. Thanks gents, love the tunes!
just ace
Just how much of this will you all allow
To go on?
What will it take for you to realize you're wrong?
Oh, so wrong
He fought with him, who fought with her
Who denied her knowledge of what those altercations were
All the lies and the sighs
This was not so reassuring
But all is well and all is merry
Even when the times are scary
Every generation is the same
Resulting in this fear illusion
Is a void that breeds confusion
Leading to a population tame
I understand demand
And know there're no guarantees
But we've been built a world that's full of small victories
I've been waiting for a light to shine my way
Every day
No one understands a word of what I say
"Go away"
"I rule the sun and all the stars"
Say the sons and daughters whose parents bought them getaway cars
To ignore inner war that is building up inside them
From the mountains to the prairies
Everything is looking scary
But the lot around me feel no pain
They live their days in mass delusion
While I coddle my seclusion
Knowing that they're all laughing at Shane
I understand demand
And know there're no guarantees
But we've been built a land that's full of small victories
i need a full live album on spotify now pleeease
Too bad Michael is not playing the drums anymore :( he always had that crazy Keith Moon vibe behind the drumkit
But to be honest, they still fucking rock! :D
This is so Great - it sounds like the theme from ''Thomas The Tank Engine'' bolted onto ''Freebird'' !
Bass player looks like hes from the movie The Warriors
Warriorss, Warriorsss
The live version of this is so fucking goooood
I love this band feel some englisn influences going on
Boooom!
Lemon Twigs 😄😃🎶♥️👌🤘😉
This guys are monsters
This song is so fucking great
OMG
Got auto-played over here from the new M Ward album. Never heard of these guys. But damn they can play.
I'm able to repeat that solo in my head. But it's not like I summon it. It happens at random, and then I'm beating my head autistically at a mess or something.
Omg suck a big show energy... their harmonic progressions kill!! I love them, go twigs
like the retro sound
tis a journey
Brilliant fucking song.
O mg , I would never remember how to play this song
he purposely shakes the headphones off his head during the solo, chord gets stuck on his left arm, takes his hand off the neck to let it fall to the ground, and you can't even notice
Did the other members quit the band?
Данил Кашин there's only two members in the band the rest are rotating session players
The bassist was Brian’s old girlfriend, I presume they broke up and got a new live band
Pretty sure I have that same bass lol
made the mistake of doing an air guitar solo to 3:15, I can't feel any of my limbs
I think Michael and Brian are the only two musicians that could have ever got in the Beatles ….
Sorry Frank ( Zappa ) I think Brian just knocked you fr9m my top spot of favourite guitarist of all time…
Steely dan of my generation
That's vulfpeck bro
This one is very Harry Nilsson meets Syd Barrett.
This music is too complicated for the radio. Top 40 couldn’t handle this. And also, I feel like this video was uncomfortably sped up.
who tf disliked lol
People who don't deserve to live/have been born
Family Mart brought me here
Un-real
Fellow bassists. 4:16-4:26 that is all
daryl is awesome
Michael is useful but Brian is the real talent
i kinda liked the vibe of their old band more for some reason.
It was a little more amateurish but a lot more positive, now they look burned out... I went to a recent gig and it was still brilliant, but they seem so angry and resentful towards each other, it's sad IMO
@@DejaVoodeux i miss them too
@@DejaVoodeux The pianist is doing is own thing now, he goes by Dr. Danny and the bassist was Michael's old girlfriend
Curtis Sisler *Brian’s old girlfriend
I’m guessing the old band members went to college? Or didn’t want to commit to the touring.
oof that bass player
The drummer is giving me Elon musk vibes if he was 19 years old
Hispanic Elon musk on drums?
xd
Preferivo i Beatles...😏
Potenziale su cui lavorare😉
Paragone un po' azzardato, ahahahah
So' cciovini, hanno anche molte altre influenze (Beach Boys, The Velvet Underground, Zappa).
C'è molto potenziale, appunto, e sono sicuro ci stupiranno. Già il secondo album è a mio parere infinitamente superiore al primo
@@testadiradio_ 🤔... dici?
Staremo a vedere... no, scusa, a sentire!🙋🏻♀️
Love The Twigs, but guitar solos are boring.
Typical case of good musicians but realy this is just embarassing
How so embarassing?
That guitar is so awful. It sounds like nothing but screechy noise. Not everybody can be Marty McFly.
