Mate, the only thing left for you try review in NZ is a Bunning's snag! If you've not had a Saturday afternoon snag, you've not been in New Zealand; Support the community, enjoy a tasty hot doggerino and good yarns with the locals - nothing quite like it!
Just had one again the other day with my son. $2.50. I don't know what it is but the combination of the cheapest precooked sausages , slightly tough , not quite stale all the way through thin white bread, lots of Marg, Cheapest tomato sauce and American style mustard with a combination of over cooked with undercooked Onions served in a serviette you inevitably end up chewing part of as well, They never get old!
Bunnings is an Australian brand, also "snag" is Australian slang for a sausage, nobody says "doggerino" either in NZ only Aussies that put an "O" on the end of every word, i smell an Aussie mutt bro you are not 100% Kiwi
Buffet was great. There was something extra special about eating pizza fresh off the pan. I also wonder if they have changed what they put into their bases since back then.
I remember way back in the 90s Gisborne had a proper Pizza Hut restaurant u could buy a plate an have a good selection of food (not just pizza) on the buffet menu i use like the ice cream machine chocolate sauce and lollies whatever u want on it, its changed heaps nowadays
7:42 definitely Asian cuisine like Indian, Vietnamese, Thai etc. There's even a 'Kiwi Hot' spice level at most Indian places. I recommend Curry Star in Waterloo, Lower Hutt and Great India Restaurant on Manners St, Wellington CBD
Time to hit the Indian restaurants\takeaways, Brock. We love our Indian food here too, and you'll get to pick your spice level too. Also, I didn't crave Pizza Hut until I watched your video! So thanks for that.
Yeah, definitely keen to see you trying some Indian food! Wellington is also known for its many Malaysian restaurants, so it would be great to see you trying something like nasi lemak as well! They will often do takeways orders, and you could probably find both in your area. 😉
Try Sal's pizza. The wings have more spice and you can buy pizza by the slice Also Nando's chicken. You can choose the spice level. I would like to know how you rate their extra hot
If you want spicy, try Currizza. Its slogan is 'Spice on a Slice'. Try the Masala for extra spicy 🔥🔥🔥(was too hot for me) It's located at the Basin Reserve 😊
Sal's Pizza has spicy buffalo wings and also Hell's does a jalapeno popper that's really nice and spicy. In fact, Hell's jalapeno poppers are the best I've found in NZ so far. I'm from Texas so this was an important find for me lol. I think Sal's uses actual imported Buffalo sauce tho, or they make it per the recipe, so that's why it's so spicy. The other spicy foods I've found in NZ are mostly authentic, hole in the wall curry places that aren't likely in the CBD or uptown areas. Pizza Hut's best pizza imo is just the regular old pepperoni. I thought the peri-peri sauce tasted mostly like mayo with paprika, not great. The seasoned tenders are nice, but slightly spongy in a way you can tell comes from a minced and reshaped product, but it's still not bad comparative to other places. I just use my own ranch as a dip instead. Also, a general tip for anyone, if you can't make it to the American food import shop, Eta makes an acceptable ranch dressing you can get at the supermarket.
I love your content thank you for doing food reviews in New Zealand cause I've never seen not many RUclipsrs do this at all it's so exciting enjoy your stay in New Zealand :) if you ever in Cheviot tried the butcher's Food is so good
You gotta try Soul Shack fried chicken on Victoria Street while you're still in Wellington, they're not as good as they once were, but their spice will rock your world.
If you want spicy food in Wellington: Try Indian curry. Like Vindaloo. The India Kitchen in Newtown is great. Great India restaurant across from the Aro park/pidgeon park is very good. Taste of India on Cambridge terrace is also worth a look. You could also get Thai. Or maybe the Mexican place in Newtown: Viva Mexico. LOL stop wasting your money and health on this chain garbage and get some decent food in you.
If you want real hot/spicy in NZ, you have to go for Thai or Indian - we do those cuisines waaaay better in NZ than you do in North America (equivalent of Mexican food in NZ - probably because they're usually run by people from those countries here, and we have large populations from those countries that buy their takeaways or go for meals out to those restaurants, so it's usually pretty authentic). Also, you need to try chinese food from a fish and chip shop, but I think that may only be an Otago thing now I think about it... I don't know! 😅
Most spiciest item? I struggled to get through a few Flamin Hot Cheetos. I love the American Buffalo Chicken pie from the Wilbean Cafe at the BP stations. Spicy until you start getting the cheese.
Yeah I’m a Kiwi and I’m always disappointed at menu items that claim they are spicy. Usually always barely any heat. Find a top rated Indian takeaway and get an (Indian hot) Vindaloo.
If you want spicy in NZ you've gotta go to an Indian, Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, or other Asian restaurant. Also, at Pizza Hutt the best base is the San Francisco base, imo. Also, apart from the Big New Yorker which you didn't get as intended, the rest of your order is the kind of stuff I'd only buy for small children or as part of a big order for a party. If you're just ordering dinner for yourself, I'd recommend ordering something with a lot more toppings.
Pizza Hut in New Zealand has been the cheap pizza brand for many years. They started going downhill when Domino's opened, but they have never been as good as Hell Pizza
Not many commercial fast food chains will supply decent spice. Only one I can think of would be nandos and choose their hottest chicken and top with the hottest sauce. Not super hot, but still a 6.5-7/10 on heat scale
If you want the best spicy food in Wellington go to KC Cafe on Courtney Place, Ive been going there every other week for the last decade. Order the beef tendons, or the spicy chicken feet and rice. You’ll thank me later.
Indian takeaway like Great Spice can go very spicy. Likewise certain Hell Pizza toppings. But this being NZ, you're always asked what level of spiciness you want, if you're asked at all. So by default it's pretty weak here.
I think the spiciest thing I've ever had from a fast food restaurant in NZ is the Mighty McSpicy, a limited product which was hotter than the regular (not particularly hot) McSpicy though altogether probably not as hot as it could have been. Otherwise, probably the Wicked Wings or Hot 'n' Spicy chicken from KFC is the hottest you're gonna find. I've only been to Nandos and Taco Bell once each, so maybe they've got something hotter but I wouldn't hold my breath. 😅
Hate to say it, but none of the Fast food chains in NZ really do "spicy" They claim to, but anyone actually into "spicy food" is typically disappointed. KFC Hotwings and "HotnSpicy Chicken" feel like false advertising on their part. Wendys spicy chicken Sandwich has a wee bit of heat, enough to taste over all the other "spicy" offerings from the major players.. yeah, lame. Hell's did a Ghost Pepper loaded Pizza at times but I don't think its a regular option on their menu, just pulled out on occasion.
If you want spicy normally need to custom order. else gen rule things are only mild.... some thai/indian places have hotter normally,,,, but yeah Ive asked for make it green with those jalapenos and extra chilli flakes... little bastards made it green.... I rung back... eff yeah yum cheers
We've been really enjoying your vids Brock. Downside is your icecream video. You need to go to a supermarket and buy a selection of Tip Top, Kapiti, and Deepsouth icecreams. Boysenberry, Hokey Pokey, and a few other more tradional flavours. 😀
Look at you go Brock. Go back to your first 5 review videos in NZ. And compare it to your last 2. You'll see a drastic change in your attitude and demeanour. You seem so much more confident and happy now compared to a stern brock in the first few reviews. NZ is wearing off on you and you will be seeing this positive change our country is having on you. Chur!
Mate! Stop reviewing the big fast food chains! (They are fast food, so not going to be the best) I recommend you review some sushi (not st pierres) , or small businesses!
seeing the steam from your breath INSIDE yes inside not outside the shop, and then going back to your residence in Auckland traffic no wonder the cheese stuffed crust was cold. if you're doing a fair review then eat it hot, either in the shop or in your car.
I’m hungry now! 😀
We love your down to earth, no fuss reviews Brock! Great to have you in New Zealand!
Mate, the only thing left for you try review in NZ is a Bunning's snag! If you've not had a Saturday afternoon snag, you've not been in New Zealand; Support the community, enjoy a tasty hot doggerino and good yarns with the locals - nothing quite like it!

@scottyTHERAZORrobinson true or the Wendy's Ice Cream parlours. Not sure if they out of Aucks though.
@@Timetofly8888 Everything you just mentioned is likely to be even older than the nostalgia. Well played.
@BlindfoldSniper 😄 highly likely !
You should try Satay Kingdom on Left Bank St off of Cuba St. It’s a bit hidden but the Seafood Laksa there is the best in Wellington and pretty cheap!
Hey man it’s me the security from paknsave that said hey to you, love your videos bro 🔥🔥
I'm glad I was able to meet you! Thank you for watching the videos!!!
Pizza hut peaked in NZ before 2005 like alot of things here. The buffet experience 😊
I still remember the buffet pizza hut, they turned the old building into a dentist in gisborne
Man, I remember that as a kid. Good times
This right here.
Even the dine-in restaurants were better tasting pizza than what they have now.
Buffet was great. There was something extra special about eating pizza fresh off the pan. I also wonder if they have changed what they put into their bases since back then.
Eagle Boys was the go to before Pizza Hut bought them out and turned to kaka
I remember way back in the 90s Gisborne had a proper Pizza Hut restaurant u could buy a plate an have a good selection of food (not just pizza) on the buffet menu i use like the ice cream machine chocolate sauce and lollies whatever u want on it, its changed heaps nowadays
I remember it was all you can eat and walking out with my pockets full off jellybeans and MnMs or pebbles
Enjoyed watching your videos, please can you do a top 10 takeaways for all of NZ
You should visit Wellington Zoo it is very famous in NZ. There are lots of cool native animals and birds there that you could look at.
What do they taste like???
7:42 definitely Asian cuisine like Indian, Vietnamese, Thai etc. There's even a 'Kiwi Hot' spice level at most Indian places. I recommend Curry Star in Waterloo, Lower Hutt and Great India Restaurant on Manners St, Wellington CBD

The spiciest fast food you can get in Wellington is level 4 at Soul Shack (they use carolina reapers in the spice mix)
Level 4 will most likely ruin your night 😂
Try Sal's pizza. The wings have more spice and you can buy pizza by the slice
Also Nando's chicken. You can choose the spice level. I would like to know how you rate their extra hot
you should co to nando's
they do spicy chicken stuff in nz
Enjoy your videos Brock, hope you’re enjoying your time in NZ.
If you want spicy, try Currizza. Its slogan is 'Spice on a Slice'. Try the Masala for extra spicy 🔥🔥🔥(was too hot for me)
It's located at the Basin Reserve 😊
LoL seeing steam coming out of your mouth Inside reminds me of those Welly winters 💦☃
You should try the heat challenge at Ruchi's in Petone, if you finish your bowl you get put on the wall of fame.
Sal's Pizza has spicy buffalo wings and also Hell's does a jalapeno popper that's really nice and spicy. In fact, Hell's jalapeno poppers are the best I've found in NZ so far. I'd be interested on your opinion on Sals pizza and how it compares to pizza in America.
Pizza Hutt next to Dominos is wild only in NZ haha. Your the bro Brock keep it kickin!
I swear in every city I've been to and the one I live in, pizza but is always a couple hundred meters from domino's
To further blow your mind, Hells Pizza is 3 doors further up the road.
Northland in Wellington where Brook got these from.
I love your content thank you for doing food reviews in New Zealand cause I've never seen not many RUclipsrs do this at all it's so exciting enjoy your stay in New Zealand :) if you ever in Cheviot tried the butcher's Food is so good
Mate goto Pho Mo and get the potbelly fries! Sooooo yum, if you do give us a shout out and say this crispy owl is great if you enjoy!
always love your vidz my bro brock
Spicy take away. Try any Hell pizza with the chilli level of “hot as hell”.
Go to Eastbourne bakery in the morning and get a steak and cheese pie. Life changing.
Oh yes, try an Indian takeaway or perhaps Turkish on Cuba Street. Or KCs. It's where I go for my BBQ pork or duck when visiting my home town.😋🤤😋
Loving your work mate 👍 👌 🎉
Another great video. :)
Will you try some NZ lollies/candy/snacks sometime?
Have you tried Nandos yet?
You gotta try Soul Shack fried chicken on Victoria Street while you're still in Wellington, they're not as good as they once were, but their spice will rock your world.
Love your reviews cuz. Big uops northland shops
If you want spicy food in Wellington: Try Indian curry. Like Vindaloo.

COUPLANDS, dounuts, pie, custard square.

Good on you Brock for calling out these crappy fast food places.
The BEST (In my opinion) chain pizza place in New Zealand for taste, value for money and size is got to be HELL PIZZA 🍕
Santeria at the top of cuba street is pretty good too
The Subway Firey Steak with harrissa sauce is mighty hot..believe me.
Now I ask for only 1 line not the usual 3 😂😂
Hell pizza wrath ordered with chilli level hot as hell. Is worthy of a review if you are looking for spice. It’s actually got a bit of kick to it.
I hope we get to see you in the South Island.
Hey man you should try, Gorilla Burger in welly
You’ve got to try sals
If you want spicy in NZ you've gotta go to an Indian, Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, or other Asian restaurant. Also, at Pizza Hutt the best base is the San Francisco base, imo. Pizza Hut in New Zealand has been the cheap pizza brand for many years. They started going downhill when Domino's opened, but they have never been as good as Hell Pizza
Don't leave bro! 😢 stay and experience n.z.
Not many commercial fast food chains will supply decent spice. Only one I can think of would be nandos and choose their hottest chicken and top with the hottest sauce. Not super hot, but still a 6.5-7/10 on heat scale
I have put on a few kgs since watching these vids and eating snd drinking things that have been off my diet for years!! 😂
If you want the best spicy food in Wellington go to KC Cafe on Courtney Place, Ive been going there every other week for the last decade. Order the beef tendons, or the spicy chicken feet and rice. You’ll thank me later.
Pizza Hut is the only Pizza that I will eat the crust of 😍
Indian takeaway like Great Spice can go very spicy. Likewise certain Hell Pizza toppings. But this being NZ, you're always asked what level of spiciness you want, if you're asked at all. So by default it's pretty weak here.
Try any Indian, Petone or where I am Wainuiomata! and ask for Indian HOT, any other NZ mild, just buy a hot sauce and add it! ❤❤
Dang, customer service there is excellent and no tip required :P
I think the spiciest thing I've ever had from a fast food restaurant in NZ is the Mighty McSpicy, a limited product which was hotter than the regular (not particularly hot) McSpicy though altogether probably not as hot as it could have been. dude i was distracted by that double chicken burger the entire video lol now i want one
I love your food reviews bro chur
You need to try Nandos if you like Peri Peri chicken, they have hotter types
Hate to say it, but none of the Fast food chains in NZ really do "spicy" They claim to, but anyone actually into "spicy food" is typically disappointed. KFC Hotwings and "HotnSpicy Chicken" feel like false advertising on their part. Hell's did a Ghost Pepper loaded Pizza at times but I don't think its a regular option on their menu, just pulled out on occasion.
So don’t go to fast food chains for spicy food.
Go to the local Indian or Thai place. Or maybe a local burger or Kebab place.
@@danieleyre8913 Not the global big ones here in NZ, maybe in other countries, sure try. Infact try Thailands KFC "HotnSpicy" they use Ghost Peppers!
If you want spice then go to an Indian takeaway , they do exsist in NZ.
Periperi Wings are the greatest secret chicken food sold by a Pizza Hutt.
What a total domination take over of the chicken wing market.
At least it’s better than domino’s
NZ got a Reviewbrah now haha
You should try Pizza Club Max 😃
Lol having a pizza hut right next to a dominoes is just calling for trouble
The fact they're right next to domino's is shocking 🤣
It’s actually a marketing tool they use is to group these places in a close proximity.
If you want spicy normally need to custom order. else gen rule things are only mild.... some thai/indian places have hotter normally,,,, but yeah Ive asked for make it green with those jalapenos and extra chilli flakes... little bastards made it green.... I rung back... eff yeah yum cheers

i love pizza hut
seems everything is so much cheaper in the US than Aus / NZ except for pizza
Look at you go Brock.
Go back to your first 5 review videos in NZ. And compare it to your last 2.
You'll see a drastic change in your attitude and demeanour.
You seem so much more confident and happy now compared to a stern brock in the first few reviews.
NZ is wearing off on you and you will be seeing this positive change our country is having on you.
Chur!
Do they have all you can eat?
No, they disbanded it sometime in the 2000's
Why do the wings come in odd numbers🤔
Easy order two sets and you have a even number...
Part of sales and marketing...
Groups of odd numbered food items is more visually pleasing. It's a standard rule in restaurant fare.
Gotta try Joes Pies
"are you enjoying your time in NZ???
Indian food would have the most spicy dishes
its possible
i rate dominoes better tbh the toppings are more generous & they have better deals especially on tuesdays.
If you ask anyone in New Zealand they’ll say Domino’s better than Pizza Hut
Pizza Hut is average in NZ although some of their premium pizzas are alright.
bro wtf there is a pizza hut right next to a dominos wot :'D
If there is a nuclear war ...."you know you are in one of the safest countries??
Spicy house dominion road
Dominos is way way better than pizza hutt but i hear hells pizza is the best ;) ;)
You must be dissapointed anytime you try a new York style pizza in NZ
Yeah. It’s a crap imitation….
…of a crap imitation to begin with!
hiiiii
Coriander Indian hot Tikka masala
Not just Pizza Hut (although it is particularly poor), but all pizza in NZ is pretty rubbish compared to the states
Mate! Stop reviewing the big fast food chains! (They are fast food, so not going to be the best) I recommend you review some sushi (not st pierres) , or small businesses!
No fast-food should be above a 6. There are much better burger and pizza options out there. Giving the Wendys chicken burger a 10 is crazy!
Pizza hut NZ is no where near as good as American Piza Hut
seeing the steam from your breath INSIDE yes inside not outside the shop, and then going back to your residence in Auckland traffic no wonder the cheese stuffed crust was cold. if you're doing a fair review then eat it hot, either in the shop or in your car.
He's in Wellington.
