That's an anime only scene. Toriyama has nothing to do with DBS Anime or Manga. Toei and Toyotaro direct and write them, Toriyama only gives them the basic scripts from each Main Story Sagas. However here toriyama 100% wrote the movie.

The King Cold and King Vegeta moment is even more interesting when you realize that Vegeta offers a handshake and Cold ignores it, but he sort of glances Frieza's way first. Almost as to say, "Sorry man, can't show that familiarity with my kid here." As for #3, I'd argue that I don't think god ki does anything here. Instead, it was Broly's struggle to survive. Remember, survival has been all Broly has doing for a bit now. He fights for survival. And his father even mentions that bit about the power of the great ape transformation. Broly and Kale both have the Legendary Power, but Broly gave us a new take, a new power before or perhaps alternate to SSJ. And I think that is hinting at a new Saiyan form without god ki. Probably the new take on SSJ4.

If anything, I figure the rest of the forces (going from Zarbon and Dedoria's expressions at least) probably aren't too fond of the saiyans, but Cold probably enjoyed doing business with them. I really like the idea that King Cold is centuries old. Ever since I first saw him I’ve had nothing but questions and theories. After seeing the new film I think that he had ruled his universe for centuries but when he wanted to retire he literally spawned Freeza to take over - so when Freeza feels the same way he will do the same, keeping the bloody cycle going.
RedTiger91 would also explain why Freeza is more accepting about the idea of not gaining immortality. He’s gonna live for centuries, perhaps longer if his Golden Power helps him too. But that also means, Freeza will eventually outlive Goku and Vegeta, only to fight their descendants for his revenge.

The fact that there are weak Saiyans that aren't warriors probably means that Raditz was only a weakling of a Saiyan in comparison to Nappa & Vegeta but in reality he was actually average compared to most other Saiyans.
I like to think of it like hero ranks in One Punch Man, Raditz was the equivalent of a pretty strong C class hero which are way stronger than civilians but weaker than B class and above
You should always suspect bulma did something funny. Remember how she was trying to build her own time machine off the notebook Future trunks left behind. She will eventually figure it out simply because she knows it exists as an option. And her future self made a machine work with the world in ruins.
I do wonder that myself actually maybe the whole Frieza blowing up Vegeta didn't sit well with them. It be easy to just sneak off in a full moon and be presumed destroyed by each other or sutin.

paragus is 80+ years old based on his physical features by the time the movie proper starts meaning that at least broly was born when he was in his 40s
@@PlayerJay425 It seemed like saiyans were rare to gather together. So having time to have kids would be rare. Is also the fact they keep kids in incubation pods of some sort could also indicate that having a kid costs something. King Vegeta having two kids makes sense. He only wanted one high class son and got it on second try. Too many high class sons would be a succession crisis in future. Meanwhile Paragus seemed like more of a workaholic as he took child getting banished way too personally.
The thing about Paragus was that while he was concerned about his child's survival, his methods were atrocious. Between the psychological torture and the shock collar, Broly's mind was broken.
Hopefully Cooler also gets a Movie (and is cannonized) , would be nice if he and his force wants to overthrow Frieza, to become the dominant force in the universe, (or what if Frost plans to get revenge on Frieza
The thing is, Cooler was always a better version (atleast for me) of Frieza. He was generally stronger then Frieza by base I believe. so if he could get into somekind of transformation that would rival Golden Frieza, i think it would be amazing. like a shiny Silverish Transformation. KInda like Meta-Cooler only a bit more awesome :D

The thing is, Cooler's Revenge still never conflicts with anything. The only thing that's confusing is where Vegeta was during it. Still, I wouldn't say no to a revision to add him into canon.
Jori Bremer if u watch dragon ball heroes, ik it’s not canon, cooler seems like he did a better job against taking a blast from cumber than vegito did. If toei keeps that kind of scaling cooler could be stronger than broly, which kinda makes sense since coolers fifth form is a lot stronger than Friezas fourth. So a cooler movie would still follow the trend of movie villains being stronger than the last.
In the flashback with King Cold, I really loved how King Vegeta was just casually offering his hand. Like it's something they had done many times before. You don't just shake hands with everyone if you are as powerful as Cold. I think he really did have some sort of respect for the Saiyans.
Its likely Cold was pragmatic and had at least a working relationship with the leaders of his plants. Maybe not the common folk who he likely saw as expendable but having loyal or trust with their leadership sounds more like his kind of tyrant.
I’m surprised you didn’t talk about the strange green glow both goku and vegeta had when they transformed in the movie almost mimicking the green glow of broly. It almost looks like they were were affected by broly power almost as much as broly was affected by vegeta god KI in the theory
I think that the green flashes are the brief moments of pure rage that trigger the super saiyan transformation. It’s kinda that little hint of Oozaru in every saiyan but it vanishes just as suddenly when Goku and Vegeta reach the higher power of Super Saiyan. A couple of theories on my part would be that the shock collar kept repressing and bottling up the oozaru within Broly until it was finally released fully. When Broly achieves Super Saiyan and maintains the Oozaru power that’s when you have Super Saiyan Green. The flashes are so brief that I doubt Vegeta and Goku ever noticed it before now. I think Goku was trying to force himself into wielding Green and Blue together and it may have for a second provided the secret to ultra instinct but was unable to maintain it and just went the safe rout in Blue.
I’m more thinking that King Cold was legitimately a good king. Probably rules with an iron fist, but you won’t need to punish your underlings if they love serving under you
Pragmatic Evil more like it. He doesn't go all "Murder those that displease me with minor annoyance" but would ignore such things in order to keep someone who seems useful. This would likely extend to races he subjects seeing them as investments and making sure to keep a good relationship with at least the leaders of said race. Of course, je is not opposed to occasionally reminding his subjects about his power and the fact he is their ruler.
Masako I think you missed something else about Bardock . HIs team make an appearance in the movie . Keep a close eye to the saiyans that kneel before Frieza when he spots the snipers. You will see that Bardock's team is there . Toyotaro also released a manga picture about them , kinda like his own idea about what happened to them. Basically they are in another planet . They guy who is with Bardock in the movie sends them the message to return to the planet . They didn't hear the mssage and the picture shows Dodoria with 2 other soldiers behind them on a cliff , implying that he killed them . This is why Bardock is suspicious about Frieza and he's paranoid that he will eradicate the saiyans . I actually think this is truly what happened , these might also be some of the deleted scenes

Hey Masako! Does The Broly movie effect your Colour symbolism theory at all? Where does Broly Fall on the Chakra path? He seems far more pure green then the typical Yellow/Green. Also why were the special incubation pods different colours instead of the typical Orange?
Nah it does not change much. Broly energy is green and yellow mix. Those fit in perfectly with his personality if you look up what the imbalances of those Chakra are.
The movie makes King Cold look like a pretty mild mannered guy. And if the theory is true, he held the universe together after the Gods became useless. Another character with wasted potential. Masako, you know what to do: "What if King Cold survived Trunk's attack?".
In DBS movie Goku and Vegeta doing one of transformations show familiar colors first Goku hair goes in split second white! Ultra Instinct! In Vegeta case his hair goes in split second green (like Broly "Legendary Super Saiyan") This is clearly foreshadowing for the future! I think this will goes like this: Goku will get Ultra Instinct transformation and Vegeta Legendary SS.

I think Broly’s instincts went into overdrive when Vegeta went into god. He was filled with fear and all sorts of things and that activated the great ape power in an effort to do something.
This video made me realise that what Goku said about Bulma probably having used the Dragon Balls to get a younger before might actually be true! I didn't think much of it when I watched the movie but it does make a lot of sense. How old is Bulma again? I think she said 38 in the Battle of Gods movie, right? Even though it's possible to have a child at that age, it's not so common. And then Bulma telling Whis to help her again with childbirth sometime in the future.. she must have already wished to get younger before!
Oh yeah, Masako, about that thing you said about Berryblue's demeanor never changing... I rewatched the movie not too long ago and there's a blink and you'll miss it moment where Berryblue frowns deeply when Freeza asks her to show Broly and Paragus to a room. She seems to really take issue with the idea of Freeza recruiting Broly at all (probably because she's aware of how much it could backfire for him). That's my own theory, anyway.
kinda like frieza had a caretaker that can mouth him off or see exactly what he's doing yet he has respect not to just blast her having an understanding with someone that gets him. with how we almost have barely any knowledge of their races history other than being mutant freaks could see them being hundreds or thousands of years old alongside king cold looking the most reasonable of the 3 that i could see him being a good sport that the kais didn't go into action towards cold's reign with how he actively told his son not to mess with beerus & buu/possibly babidi. super broly's wrathful form feels like if explored more could lead to ss4's reimagining into canon as it was basically in a way broly fully using the power of great ape mixed with some ancient saiyan feel being isolated for so long. like tarble's earlier mention of being canon was solidified as i love that special(wish it got a english dub with how tarble got a voice in raging blast 2 that i would've loved it being an extra alongside plan to eradicate the saiyans.) would've loved to have seen an extended version of this as alongside seeing the saiyans society really love that moment in the beginning implying the events of the special still happened(especially the dodoria attack from toyataro drawn.) with bardock actually managing to convince some of them from being smarter(with how there are different classes to them compared to having sudden psychic powers that don't change much other than one moment that would've happened anyway.) instead of just frieza soldiers with the worlds worst luck caught up in the blast. if the shadow dragons appear in canon love to see them powered up from the extra wishes made/the ones bulma made.
Finally saw the Broly movie today, so now I can officially watch videos on it. It IS easy to tell that the first act was a partial adaptation of Dragon Ball Minus, given many scenes are adapted directly from that manga, with only a few parts cut such as Frieza interacting with Beerus (though we know it happened given it's mentioned in Battle of Gods and Super). As for the Bardock special, it's canonicity was left ambiguous, but considering we saw flashbacks of Bardock standing up to Frieza before he destroyed Planet Vegeta back in DBZ, it's easy to say that some of it has canonicity, or at least that specific part of the special.
My theory: Every Super Saiyan has had their tails removed prior to the transformation. I realized this with Broly, since he channeled the Oozaru form through his base. Perhaps Broly simply visualized this for us? Maybe this channeling of power combined with pure rage very rapidly causes the SSJ transformation??
I dunno, even with his Wrathful state, Frieza still had to off Paragus and tell Broly that Paragus died from a "stray blast" for the Saiyan to finally transform into a Super Saiyan. I think the catalyst has to do with the combination of rage and despair, rather than rage and power (if early DBZ Gohan was any proof)
Tony X but the raging bulk out part (False Super Saiyan form) is a part of the transformation process (seen in Namek) and Broly’s rage form is a dead ringer for that
@@_mango_ Well first, the FSSJ was only a Movie 4 thing and never apart of the series proper, and the rage that Broly exhibited wasn't was caused him to become a Super Saiyan. Aside from Goten, Kid Trunks, Caulifla, and somewhat with Kid Gohan, the Super Saiyan transformations was a matter of rage and despair (Goku having to watch his best friend die permanently (before death really became inconsequential in DBZ), Vegeta's anguish of being bested by a low-class Saiyan despite being a prodigy among the Saiyans, Future Gohan losing his friends to 17 and 18, Future Trunks losing Future Gohan to 17 and 18 and feeling like it was his fault because he wasn't strong enough, Cabba fearing losing his family and his entire race to the 'monster' that Vegeta was, Kale being upset that she was letting down the one person that she cares for, that being Caulifla, and for Broly it was the idea that in his battle against Goku, he could've been responsible for the death of Paragus)

tbh i think Berryblue helped King Cold to make Frieza (either clone of Cold or just an offspring) and it could lead to discovery of Cooler, when Frieza learns he wasnt 1st attempt at creating successor to King Cold. (remember that Frieza and Cold are mutants, so someone could help in introducing mutation to their DNA)
I am all over the idea of Berryblue being the lady(?) who raised Frieza (and potentially Cooler? Wasn't the first Cooler movie canon, but not the second one?), with Frieza's race reproducing Namekian-style. Saiyan tails actually reduce potential. Every Saiyan we see that has lost his tail is incredibly strong and has reached legendary status in terms of power. Goku and Vegeta have reached God status. Gohan, Gotten and Trunks have all reached Super Saiyan or above. And of course Broly tapping into a Primal Saiyan power. Notice that Paragus is stronger than average but is no where near anything the tailess Saiyans have. And he still has his tail. As does Tarble. As did Raditz and even Nappa.
yeah im of the theory that their Tails if intact is where excess energy is discharged from in the race and part of the great Ape transformation. I think having the tail removed forces them to internalize the energy. Thats why the Universe 6 sayins had an easier time going SS1, they had evolved to control their energy better.
@@braddl9442 absolutely. I also think Saiyans are destined for hybridization and are made to mix their DNA with other beings in the universe. Hence why Gohan has the highest potential of any Saiyan and Human.
I suppose that's why they're recessive. They're a weakness if grabbed when untrained and they're not especially useful in combat situations. If anything, though, and I get that GT's non-canon but hear me out. In GT, when Goku uses Super Saiyan 3 without his tail, he struggles to sustain the form, HOWEVER, when he uses the form AFTER having his tail stretched back out, it becomes much easier to retain the form and seems to help reduce that excess stamina drain. So perhaps it depends on the transformation they'd be using to otherwise determine the tail's usefulness.
I thought it was very interesting that King Vegeta expected King Cold to shake his hand, as if he HAD in the past. I think Cold had to act more like a jerk in the presence of his son, to not appear soft in his eyes.
Here's a 'What If' idea for ya Masako. What if Goku didn't land on Yardrat, but instead Vampa? Food for thought. Assume of course that his ship is at least repairable so he's not just stranded with them.
no its not lol. he was born with a power level of over 10,000. after vegeta has trained for his whole life into his adulthood, blowing up planets, etc etc, he was only about 14,000. and that was when goku did kaioken x4 kamahamaha. then broly was raised on one of the most hostile planets in the know universe 7. he had to be extremely strong, literally just so he could survive. He was keeping up with SSG for a little while, yes Vegeta pushed him back, but honestly i dont think god ki has literally anything to with it. Paragus said that Broly was basically acting like an Oozaru but in his human form. this was in his base form. He has never achieved Super Saiyan before hand. AND if you pay attention to how they have build DBS, they have take several things from GT, SS4 possibly going to be come one. The ss4 transformation was the result of a compressed Golden Ape transformation. Now that Broly has his SS1 form, AND his tail, he could technically go SS4, but i dont see that happening until after he goes through the steps of SS1, SS2, SS3, then SS4 and beyond with Goku as his teacher, since we all know goku knows how to teach, as shown in the ToP arc. (wow this turned into alot more than i planned, my bad hahaha)
DB characters, and Saiyans especially, learn a ton from fighting and even just observing more powerful characters. From Broly drawing from Vegeta's god ki as Masako posits, to even things like Yamcha and co. clearing Snake Way faster than Goku since Goku paved the way.

Would love to see how the Future Trunks and Universe Survival Arcs fare with Universe 6 as the new base. How would the team work with Champa and Vados? What about Hit and Frost, not to mention Cabba and the rest of the Sayians being good guys and based on Planet Sadala.
Plot twist Someone kills Barry blue. Frieza unlocks emotions he didn't think he had. Frieza unlocks a sixth form. And in a rage starts destroying planets and actually beats beerus . Broly Goku Vegeta and jiren lose to frieza. But frieza loses his will to kill. And just goes away.
My big question is why doesn't Bulma just wish to have her aging process slow down by about 50 60% so that she doesn't age all that quickly and stays young like her husband?

Just putting this out there since so many people have forgotten, including me. Goku and vegeta took 3 hours to fuse. 30 mins for the failed fusion to defuse. An hour cooldown before they fuse again. 30 mins for the 2nd failed fusion to defuse. Another hour cooldown to fuse again. That all adds up to 3 hours.
What I dont get is why Whis didnt mention broly to beerus in the battle of gods arc and whether he was deliberately hiding broly because goku was the one whis was keeping an eye on right from birth. SOME MASTER PLAN??????

So most likely he doesn't care he is just there enjoying the ride. Plus they just made broly canon. Toriyama probably wasn't thinking about broly when he wrote battle of the gods.

In chapter 42 in the manga after the tournament of power the fight with Broly is mentioned with a full panel of the new Broly design. If you consider the DB Super manga canon then Broly is canon

( _"OH MY GOD, HE'S SO GODDAMN COOL!"_ ) Per #4: Yeah, I already believed he was trying to go UI, but your theory about his pupils blinking out just cemented it; I'd been wondering about the pupils thing myself and had also noted the similarity to the Spirit Bomb scene. Even though DB uses the no-pupils trope a lot and for pretty much everything (dead, unconscious, furious, possessed, insane, overcharged, you name it), your connecting the dots over the whole "rapid on-off" bit being a direct pull from the Spirit Bomb scene makes a lot of sense.
The way u spoke about Broly is as if it is set between Z and Super. For example the Bulma thing. U said that she would be embarrassed now that Goku knows what she uses the Dragon balls for and that is why she looked older at the end of Z. Honestly I'm glad there was no ultra instinct cuz the movie would have just been straight up over. I remember sitting next to my friend at the emagine theater and he was like how cool would it be if jaron was in the movie.I felt like smacking him cuz once again that's like the same thing as having ultra instinct in the movie.
I saw the movie last night. Broly was always one of my favorite movie villains and I love how they re-worked him. I have a theory. The look on King Vegeta's face when he learned Frieza was now in charge. What if King Vegeta had hopes of being named King Cold successor when he retired?

actually if you go back and watch episode 9 of super you'll see that Bulma knows that vegeta has a brother but she's never actually met him. I think that the special with tarble is going to be redone in super they're going to meet him later in the series and that whole thing will then become Canon
HEY I HAVE AN IDEA. MAYBE BROLY WITH HIS TAPPING INTO OOZARU POWER WILL BRING BACK SSJ4 FROM GT? In some new way of course. Reuse the old GT concept into a new sort of a transformation when Oozaru goes SSJ and then learns how to control it. Maybe when Broly learns to control his power he will develop an SSJ4-like form? What if then Vegeta and Goku also learn it and somehow blend it with SSJG/SSJB or even Ultra Instinct? WHAT IF BROLY LEARNS THOSE AND ALSO BLENDS THEM?
Would it be too much, if Turles, Slug and Cooler could be made Canon as well? Cooler for obvious reasons, Slug perhaps as a motive for Piccolo to get some power (something like a New Namek arc, which is somewhat similar to what Moro is doing in the manga) and Turles as another surviving saiyan (perhaps with an altered appearance) who could be with Tarble.
In the manga, the latest chapter has goku saying he wants to train to master ultra instinct. So mui (which is what the fans were calling it in the t.o.p) doesnt exist because he hasnt mastered it yet. Specifically in dbs chapter 51 he says "Theres one move im still trying to master. It's all about moving the body on instinct" ... "I've got a feeling training with you (merus) could get me close to mastering it." So the mental block thing masako talks about is fairly accurate
Also Bardock ‘s crew appears as the honor guard that meet with King Vegeta and King Cold. They appear in a blink and miss cameo as Frezia shows off the scouters, they each cameo among the crowd. So Fasha, Tora and the 2 fat guys are still canon. BUT THEY CAN’T SEE THE FUTURE!!!

The King Cold and King Vegeta moment is even more interesting when you realize that Vegeta offers a handshake and Cold ignores it, but he sort of glances Frieza's way first. Almost as to say, "Sorry man, can't show that familiarity with my kid here."
As for #3, I'd argue that I don't think god ki does anything here. Instead, it was Broly's struggle to survive. Remember, survival has been all Broly has doing for a bit now. He fights for survival. And his father even mentions that bit about the power of the great ape transformation. Broly and Kale both have the Legendary Power, but Broly gave us a new take, a new power before or perhaps alternate to SSJ. And I think that is hinting at a new Saiyan form without god ki. Probably the new take on SSJ4.

I really like the idea that King Cold is centuries old. Ever since I first saw him I’ve had nothing but questions and theories. After seeing the new film I think that he had ruled his universe for centuries but when he wanted to retire he literally spawned Freeza to take over - so when Freeza feels the same way he will do the same, keeping the bloody cycle going.
RedTiger91 would also explain why Freeza is more accepting about the idea of not gaining immortality. He’s gonna live for centuries, perhaps longer if his Golden Power helps him too. But that also means, Freeza will eventually outlive Goku and Vegeta, only to fight their descendants for his revenge.

The fact that there are weak Saiyans that aren't warriors probably means that Raditz was only a weakling of a Saiyan in comparison to Nappa & Vegeta but in reality he was actually average compared to most other Saiyans.

King Vegeta having two kids makes sense. He only wanted one high class son and got it on second try. Too many high class sons would be a succession crisis in future. Meanwhile Paragus seemed like more of a workaholic as he took child getting banished way too personally.
The thing about Paragus was that while he was concerned about his child's survival, his methods were atrocious. Between the psychological torture and the shock collar, Broly's mind was broken.
Hopefully Cooler also gets a Movie (and is cannonized) , would be nice if he and his force wants to overthrow Frieza, to become the dominant force in the universe, (or what if Frost plans to get revenge on Frieza
The thing is, Cooler was always a better version (atleast for me) of Frieza. He was generally stronger then Frieza by base I believe. so if he could get into somekind of transformation that would rival Golden Frieza, i think it would be amazing. like a shiny Silverish Transformation. Jori Bremer if u watch dragon ball heroes, ik it’s not canon, cooler seems like he did a better job against taking a blast from cumber than vegito did. If toei keeps that kind of scaling cooler could be stronger than broly, which kinda makes sense since coolers fifth form is a lot stronger than Friezas fourth. So a cooler movie would still follow the trend of movie villains being stronger than the last.
In the flashback with King Cold, I really loved how King Vegeta was just casually offering his hand. Like it's something they had done many times before. You don't just shake hands with everyone if you are as powerful as Cold. I think he really did have some sort of respect for the Saiyans.
He certainly bothered to stablish relationships with other planets and kingdoms, unlike Frieza who wanted to be feared by everyone.
Its likely Cold was pragmatic and had at least a working relationship with the leaders of his plants. Maybe not the common folk who he likely saw as expendable but having loyal or trust with their leadership sounds more like his kind of tyrant.
Goku points out that Bulma must have been using the dragon balls this whole time and that’s why she’s younger and she gets upset because it’s true

I think that the green flashes are the brief moments of pure rage that trigger the super saiyan transformation. It’s kinda that little hint of Oozaru in every saiyan but it vanishes just as suddenly when Goku and Vegeta reach the higher power of Super Saiyan. A couple of theories on my part would be that the shock collar kept repressing and bottling up the oozaru within Broly until it was finally released fully. When Broly achieves Super Saiyan and maintains the Oozaru power that’s when you have Super Saiyan Green. The flashes are so brief that I doubt Vegeta and Goku ever noticed it before now. I think Goku was trying to force himself into wielding Green and Blue together and it may have for a second provided the secret to ultra instinct but was unable to maintain it and just went the safe rout in Blue.
After Broly bashed Goku's head I think he should have remembered his parents or something that would explain the Kakarot thing

Good is too far. We are told he is only slightly less evil then frieza, just more polite and even tempered.
Pragmatic Evil more like it. He doesn't go all "Murder those that displease me with minor annoyance" but would ignore such things in order to keep someone who seems useful. This would likely extend to races he subjects seeing them as investments and making sure to keep a good relationship with at least the leaders of said race.
Of course, je is not opposed to occasionally reminding his subjects about his power and the fact he is their ruler.
Bulma needs to wish to age with Vegeta so they can grow old together.

Masako I think you missed something else about Bardock . HIs team make an appearance in the movie . Keep a close eye to the saiyans that kneel before Frieza when he spots the snipers. You will see that Bardock's team is there . Toyotaro also released a manga picture about them , kinda like his own idea about what happened to them. Basically they are in another planet . They guy who is with Bardock in the movie sends them the message to return to the planet . They didn't hear the mssage and the picture shows Dodoria with 2 other soldiers behind them on a cliff , implying that he killed them . This is why Bardock is suspicious about Frieza and he's paranoid that he will eradicate the saiyans . I actually think this is truly what happened , these might also be some of the deleted scenes
Hopeing they do pop up. Or if so upper does broly they have a season cover the planet Vegeta story so it can be expanded.

I feel like BerryBlue represents the growth of Frieza's character. He's still as evil as ever, but now he's also smarter. BerryBlue is wise but blunt. In the past, Frieza would never put up with someone talking to him like that, but now he realizes he needs people like Berry if he wants to get ahead.
My brother commented that freeza was more chilled around kikono and berryblue because maybe they have been around since he was little.

Nah it does not change much. Broly energy is green and yellow mix. Those fit in perfectly with his personality if you look up what the imbalances of those Chakra are.

The movie makes King Cold look like a pretty mild mannered guy. And if the theory is true, he held the universe together after the Gods became useless. Another character with wasted potential. Masako, you know what to do: "What if King Cold survived Trunk's attack?".
Simple, frieza kills the Z warriors, or as many as he can till goku lands, maybe blow up the planet. That's about it.
In DBS movie Goku and Vegeta doing one of transformations show familiar colors first Goku hair goes in split second white! Ultra Instinct! In Vegeta case his hair goes in split second green (like Broly "Legendary Super Saiyan") This is clearly foreshadowing for the future! I think this will goes like this: Goku will get Ultra Instinct transformation and Vegeta Legendary SS.

I think Broly’s instincts went into overdrive when Vegeta went into god. He was filled with fear and all sorts of things and that activated the great ape power in an effort to do something.

This video made me realise that what Goku said about Bulma probably having used the Dragon Balls to get a younger before might actually be true! I didn't think much of it when I watched the movie but it does make a lot of sense. How old is Bulma again? I think she said 38 in the Battle of Gods movie, right? Even though it's possible to have a child at that age, it's not so common. And then Bulma telling Whis to help her again with childbirth sometime in the future.. she must have already wished to get younger before!

I rewatched the movie not too long ago and there's a blink and you'll miss it moment where Berryblue frowns deeply when Freeza asks her to show Broly and Paragus to a room. She seems to really take issue with the idea of Freeza recruiting Broly at all (probably because she's aware of how much it could backfire for him).
That's my own theory, anyway.

My only issue with the movie is that they 100% should have had an epilepsy warning at the start. My eyes really hurt in places

with how we almost have barely any knowledge of their races history other than being mutant freaks could see them being hundreds or thousands of years old alongside king cold looking the most reasonable of the 3 that i could see him being a good sport that the kais didn't go into action towards cold's reign with how he actively told his son not to mess with beerus & buu/possibly babidi.
super broly's wrathful form feels like if explored more could lead to ss4's reimagining into canon as it was basically in a way broly fully using the power of great ape mixed with some ancient saiyan feel being isolated for so long.
like tarble's earlier mention of being canon was solidified as i love that special(wish it got a english dub with how tarble got a voice in raging blast 2 that i would've loved it being an extra alongside plan to eradicate the saiyans.)
would've loved to have seen an extended version of this as alongside seeing the saiyans society really love that moment in the beginning implying the events of the special still happened(especially the dodoria attack from toyataro drawn.) with bardock actually managing to convince some of them from being smarter(with how there are different classes to them compared to having sudden psychic powers that don't change much other than one moment that would've happened anyway.) instead of just frieza soldiers with the worlds worst luck caught up in the blast.
if the shadow dragons appear in canon love to see them powered up from the extra wishes made/the ones bulma made.

Finally saw the Broly movie today, so now I can officially watch videos on it. It IS easy to tell that the first act was a partial adaptation of Dragon Ball Minus, given many scenes are adapted directly from that manga, with only a few parts cut such as Frieza interacting with Beerus (though we know it happened given it's mentioned in Battle of Gods and Super). As for the Bardock special, it's canonicity was left ambiguous, but considering we saw flashbacks of Bardock standing up to Frieza before he destroyed Planet Vegeta back in DBZ, it's easy to say that some of it has canonicity, or at least that specific part of the special.
My theory:
Every Super Saiyan has had their tails removed prior to the transformation. I realized this with Broly, since he channeled the Oozaru form through his base.
Perhaps Broly simply visualized this for us?
Maybe this channeling of power combined with pure rage very rapidly causes the SSJ transformation??
I dunno, even with his Wrathful state, Frieza still had to off Paragus and tell Broly that Paragus died from a "stray blast" for the Saiyan to finally transform into a Super Saiyan. I think the catalyst has to do with the combination of rage and despair, rather than rage and power (if early DBZ Gohan was any proof)
Tony X but the raging bulk out part (False Super Saiyan form) is a part of the transformation process (seen in Namek) and Broly’s rage form is a dead ringer for that
@@_mango_ Well first, the FSSJ was only a Movie 4 thing and never apart of the series proper, and the rage that Broly exhibited wasn't was caused him to become a Super Saiyan. Aside from Goten, Kid Trunks, Caulifla, and somewhat with Kid Gohan, the Super Saiyan transformations was a matter of rage and despair (Goku having to watch his best friend die permanently (before death really became inconsequential in DBZ), Vegeta's anguish of being bested by a low-class Saiyan despite being a prodigy among the Saiyans, Future Gohan losing his friends to 17 and 18, Future Trunks losing Future Gohan to 17 and 18 and feeling like it was his fault because he wasn't strong enough, Cabba fearing losing his family and his entire race to the 'monster' that Vegeta was, Kale being upset that she was letting down the one person that she cares for, that being Caulifla, and for Broly it was the idea that in his battle against Goku, he could've been responsible for the death of Paragus)

I am all over the idea of Berryblue being the lady(?) who raised Frieza (and potentially Cooler? Wasn't the first Cooler movie canon, but not the second one?), with Frieza's race reproducing Namekian-style. By the way, you're so close to half a million subscribers and out of all the channels I watch on a daily basis, yours is my favourite. I can't wait for you to reach 500k mate, and even more after. You've worked bloody hard for it.
Saiyan tails actually reduce potential. Every Saiyan we see that has lost his tail is incredibly strong and has reached legendary status in terms of power. Goku and Vegeta have reached God status. Gohan, Gotten and Trunks have all reached Super Saiyan or above. And of course Broly tapping into a Primal Saiyan power. Notice that Paragus is stronger than average but is no where near anything the tailess Saiyans have. And he still has his tail. As does Tarble. As did Raditz and even Nappa.
yeah im of the theory that their Tails if intact is where excess energy is discharged from in the race and part of the great Ape transformation. I think having the tail removed forces them to internalize the energy. Thats why the Universe 6 sayins had an easier time going SS1, they had evolved to control their energy better.

I suppose that's why they're recessive. They're a weakness if grabbed when untrained and they're not especially useful in combat situations. If anything, though, and I get that GT's non-canon but hear me out.
In GT, when Goku uses Super Saiyan 3 without his tail, he struggles to sustain the form, HOWEVER, when he uses the form AFTER having his tail stretched back out, it becomes much easier to retain the form and seems to help reduce that excess stamina drain. So perhaps it depends on the transformation they'd be using to otherwise determine the tail's usefulness.
I thought it was very interesting that King Vegeta expected King Cold to shake his hand, as if he HAD in the past. I think Cold had to act more like a jerk in the presence of his son, to not appear soft in his eyes.

Yes! The Broly absorbing the god ki and energy is the only explanation for his power.
no its not lol. he was born with a power level of over 10,000. after vegeta has trained for his whole life into his adulthood, blowing up planets, etc etc, he was only about 14,000. and that was when goku did kaioken x4 kamahamaha. then broly was raised on one of the most hostile planets in the know universe 7. he had to be extremely strong, literally just so he could survive. He was keeping up with SSG for a little while, yes Vegeta pushed him back, but honestly i dont think god ki has literally anything to with it. Paragus said that Broly was basically acting like an Oozaru but in his human form. this was in his base form. He has never achieved Super Saiyan before hand. AND if you pay attention to how they have build DBS, they have take several things from GT, SS4 possibly going to be come one. The ss4 transformation was the result of a compressed Golden Ape transformation. Now that Broly has his SS1 form, AND his tail, he could technically go SS4, but i dont see that happening until after he goes through the steps of SS1, SS2, SS3, then SS4 and beyond with Goku as his teacher, since we all know goku knows how to teach, as shown in the ToP arc. (wow this turned into alot more than i planned, my bad hahaha)
DB characters, and Saiyans especially, learn a ton from fighting and even just observing more powerful characters. From Broly drawing from Vegeta's god ki as Masako posits, to even things like Yamcha and co. clearing Snake Way faster than Goku since Goku paved the way.

I keep hearing abridged Goku sometimes when he speaks normally.
Just putting this out there since so many people have forgotten, including me. Goku and vegeta took 3 hours to fuse. 30 mins for the failed fusion to defuse. An hour cooldown before they fuse again. 30 mins for the 2nd failed fusion to defuse. Another hour cooldown to fuse again. That all adds up to 3 hours.
What I dont get is why Whis didnt mention broly to beerus in the battle of gods arc and whether he was deliberately hiding broly because goku was the one whis was keeping an eye on right from birth. SOME MASTER PLAN??????
Whis just didn't know. Broly father was keeping broly in check so he wouldn't go berserk and kill his father. Whis is great and all but not all knowing

Well look at it like this if someone ask about broly his staff would be able to find him. But when it comes to the battle of the gods. Whis is carefree and his job is to watch over the God of destruction. The only thing I could think of if he was watching broly is that he is the next candidate for G.O.D. So most likely he doesn't care he is just there enjoying the ride. Plus they just made broly canon. Toriyama probably wasn't thinking about broly when he wrote battle of the gods.

This was really interesting to listen to. It brought up some points that I hadn't noticed during the movie. Especially about Freeza's mother figure. It makes sense why she spoke her mind so freely. I was like: OH GOD, SHE DIDN'T DIE IS FREEZA SOFT?! No. Lol. Not at all.

In chapter 42 in the manga after the tournament of power the fight with Broly is mentioned with a full panel of the new Broly design. If you consider the DB Super manga canon then Broly is canon

Per #4: Yeah, I already believed he was trying to go UI, but your theory about his pupils blinking out just cemented it; I'd been wondering about the pupils thing myself and had also noted the similarity to the Spirit Bomb scene. Even though DB uses the no-pupils trope a lot and for pretty much everything (dead, unconscious, furious, possessed, insane, overcharged, you name it), your connecting the dots over the whole "rapid on-off" bit being a direct pull from the Spirit Bomb scene makes a lot of sense.

The way u spoke about Broly is as if it is set between Z and Super. For example the Bulma thing. U said that she would be embarrassed now that Goku knows what she uses the Dragon balls for and that is why she looked older at the end of Z. This is just for my benefit but do you mean the Peaceful Saga as that would explain what u meant. Not meant to sound horrible I'd just like clarity. Also great vid and keep up the good work work
Honestly I'm glad there was no ultra instinct cuz the movie would have just been straight up over. I remember sitting next to my friend at the emagine theater and he was like how cool would it be if jaron was in the movie.I felt like smacking him cuz once again that's like the same thing as having ultra instinct in the movie.

I saw the movie last night. Broly was always one of my favorite movie villains and I love how they re-worked him. I have a theory. The look on King Vegeta's face when he learned Frieza was now in charge. What if King Vegeta had hopes of being named King Cold successor when he retired?

actually if you go back and watch episode 9 of super you'll see that Bulma knows that vegeta has a brother but she's never actually met him. I think that the special with tarble is going to be redone in super they're going to meet him later in the series and that whole thing will then become Canon

HEY I HAVE AN IDEA. MAYBE BROLY WITH HIS TAPPING INTO OOZARU POWER WILL BRING BACK SSJ4 FROM GT? In some new way of course. Reuse the old GT concept into a new sort of a transformation when Oozaru goes SSJ and then learns how to control it. Maybe when Broly learns to control his power he will develop an SSJ4-like form? What if then Vegeta and Goku also learn it and somehow blend it with SSJG/SSJB or even Ultra Instinct? WHAT IF BROLY LEARNS THOSE AND ALSO BLENDS THEM?
Would it be too much, if Turles, Slug and Cooler could be made Canon as well?
Cooler for obvious reasons, Slug perhaps as a motive for Piccolo to get some power (something like a New Namek arc, which is somewhat similar to what Moro is doing in the manga) and Turles as another surviving saiyan (perhaps with an altered appearance) who could be with Tarble.
In the manga, the latest chapter has goku saying he wants to train to master ultra instinct. So mui (which is what the fans were calling it in the t.o.p) doesnt exist because he hasnt mastered it yet.
Specifically in dbs chapter 51 he says
"Theres one move im still trying to master. It's all about moving the body on instinct" ... "I've got a feeling training with you (merus) could get me close to mastering it."
So the mental block thing masako talks about is fairly accurate
The relationships in this movie were all well written. And I liked that scene where Goku noticed that Broly didn't really want to fight.
Also Bardock ‘s crew appears as the honor guard that meet with King Vegeta and King Cold. They appear in a blink and miss cameo as Frezia shows off the scouters, they each cameo among the crowd. So Fasha, Tora and the 2 fat guys are still canon.
