Thanks for breaking down Bustop for us, Jimmy. These are great excercises that, if you practice them, will help your overall guitar playing. Bustop was one of my all time favorite Hollies songs along with Carrie Ann. I still go back to your older lesson videos - it keeps things interesting during this lockdown.
Ditto! An excellent teacher can simplify the complex, not vice versa. Playing the introduction to “Bus Stop” has always eluded me, but not now thanks to your excellent, thorough lesson. For me, you have really connected the dots, and you’ve done so in a wonderful, straightforward way. I’ve always loved this song from the moment I first heard it way back when. It was a different time back then. It was simpler. Fast forward to today, and somehow “Uber Stop” lacks the same innocent appeal (of a couple meeting at a bus stop, sharing an umbrella, and falling in love regardless of the weather). At least it does for me. Thank you!
The 2 single notes that you discuss at 2:17, I play as Asus 4 to Gsus4. Or in tab xxx435 to xxx533 I would love to see a link where they are actually playing this live. The only one that I have found online shows the guitar has no cable connected. A number of guitar artists don’t don’t fake accurately when they lip sync to their hits..

A lifetime favourite . Thank you for this .
