There sure are a lot of trash talking show boating amateurs out there, especially in Florida, they cath a few fish, usually in salt water and think they are it, they have no idea.
It's really just a key to life in general. We always learn more from our failures than our successes.

A lot of folks love to brag, especially older folks, they brag about their money, they brag about their kids and what college they went to, they don't talk about the failures and the losses and heartache, they paint a pretty picture that puts themselves in the best possible light, this guy is the real deal.

Everytime I go fishing. I have a game plan. 4 poles,4 reels I fish like its the last time I will ever go fishing. Check the weather and what wind direction and speed. When I get there I really enjoy the moment. Try and figure out what the fish want. Color and bait to use. Then go after them. If there out there I will catch them. I act like I am fishing against the pro's. It makes the experience fun everytime. Shawn

There were a lot of life lessons in this video. More than just fishing. Maybe you need to listen again and try to comprehend what Gerald is saying. It ain't rocket science.
