Thank you for informative content. I checked my settings. I don't understand anti-flicker very well. I live in western Japan so it's 60hz. If I go to northern Japan, I have to change to 50HZ. Even one country requires two flicker settings. Then what about countries other than Japan? How can I know which one to anti-flicker ?
Is it not problematic to have different frame rates and bit rates within 1 video for RUclips? I was under the belief it is better to have all clips same frame rate, bit rate, resolution across multiple devices like my DJI drone and GoPro should have same settings? Or am I overthinking

tough task with a GoPro. I'd opt for a camera that has a zoom lens, something that also shoots great indoors with a larger image sensor, maybe a sony ZV-1 or if you are using gopro the image will be wide, best to use linear field of view and mount the cameras close (within 5m) to each of the members you wish to capture

As usual I do appreciate the contents and ton used in your video, this is very clear and help a lot to progress and take benefit of action camera. You do provide practical examples to make the things understandable for the beginner I am. 😉 I did review new features brought by the Gopro 11 ..well some are helpful in some cases. Actually because I did register at Gopro I can get the cam at lower price, plus some discount of the moment I was able to get almost the SAME price for a Gopro 11 that a Gopro 11 Mini for registered persons, very interesting, 🙃so I decided to order it and will deal with the additional weight of 20 grammes 😂…. Plus since all accessories including the battery I have for my Gopro 10, are compatible, this is cool now I have a backup action camera and can dispatch my outdoors activities between the two cameras, very convenient when dedicated accessories have to be set for some situation and put in two separate bags👍..In my case, I will pursue on my learning phase concurrently on the two actions cameras by reviewing all Tutorials you did and doing pics and vids and using QUIK Appl to edit them I will appreciate the changes. 🙏 Take care.
Great Video Mate, the misses has an iPhone and is running the app there. Can I install the app my my samsung (yes I am a man), for easier upload or download to the phone and then the computer for editing , or can I go gorpo 11 to PC right away for editing. never used one before.

Info was great but a bit to fast . Maybe displaying info on the side of screen to easily pause to either write it down or screen shot it . Overall good vid .
you need to change your settings, go to preferences, general, and then anti-flicker, if you change this from 50Hz to 60Hz it will open up different frame rates. 50hz offers 24, 25, 50, 100, 200, where as 60hz offer 24, 30, 60, 120, 240fps. This is essentially addressing your NTSC vs PAL setting. It's for countries that have differing frequencies which effects lighting flicker into the camera.
Hi last year I bought a GoPro hero11 for a family holiday of a lifetime to Grenada, im not very tech savvy so I recorded in the pre set values, I have a 2017 MacBook Pro and I’m having issues trying to edit them, choppy playback, which I presume is because the pre set quality is too high. Are you aware of any solutions short of buying a new MacBook? Will changing to 1080 or 4K sort this problem moving forward? Cheers ATB DAVE

I was posting my question everywhere and clearly nobody has an answer to my question, not even the self proclaimed 'GoPro experts'. They have no idea what I'm talking about. So, I was hoping you can provide me of the correct answer. Now, we all know the GoPro media mod is a worthless add-on simply because those microphones are terrible. So, I need to use my own external microphone. My question is this: Can I use a USB-C splitter on the Hero 11 so I can simultaneously connect the Volta and an external microphone like the Rode Wireless Go2 or the DJI Mic? Will it work? Thanks!
If you use the rode wireless Go2, you can change the settings on the desktop app to record & save the audio onto the mic itself, it’s pretty rad, I use it like that all the time and then just sync the audio from the gopro and the rode mic in post production. Gopro doesn’t allow USB-C type recording input so you can’t use those kinds of microphones as direct inputs, you can buy a gopro 3.5mm mic adapter to connect other 3.5mm mic inputs to record audio with. I haven’t but to be fair, using the gopro at night isn’t something we ever do. It’s not the best tool for the job, especially if you’re trying to shoot in high frame rates and slow the footage down

why my GoPro Hero 11 doesn't have 8:7 ratio? the firm way is up to date already.
Make sure you’re using advanced mode
very confused. Why does mine only have options for 24,30,60, 120 and yours has the 25,50 options? Same Go Pro 11....

Yes, shooting in 1080 will solve your processing problem but I’d recommend getting a new computer with 32 or 64gb or RAM

Hey Jake. Thanks for the video. I did notice that I do not have the same frame rate selections as you do. Example no 25fps for 4k.
checkout the video at 13:30 and switch your anti-flicker on your camera from 60hz to 50hz, this will allow you to shoot in 25.
