Here is a talent show performance of Olivia Ramirez (1st grade) accompanied by her brother, Joaquin Ramirez (3rd grade), at their elementary school.
They performed Christina Perri’s A Thousand Years.

Yep, there's definitely talent there. The girl is clearly very young. Throw in some singing lessons and she'll wow people's socks off one day. I think the brother sang very well too - a little better perhaps in some ways, as he's older - but it was hard to tell for sure.
And in front of their peers, classmates, kids. So impressed.
I am also impresed euth how respectful and well behavedthe kids are in the audience.

Yes, they are amazing. No talking among themselves, instead listening intently. That must make it easier for the two brave kids in the front.
Many of the elementary schools in the USA have a big huge room that they call "all purpose room" where sports are practiced, it is also the recreation room on snowy winter days, it has a stage on one wall that when this room is used for show the children sit on the floor and the teachers sit on folding chairs. The children are just as the video shows, good behavior, they respect, if any of them does not follow the rule they are simply removed and taken to another facility...I tell you that in all the time that my children attended elementary school they I have never saw a child being removed.
@@AliciaekYet there are huge portion of the population that think our public schools are dangerous for our children. It’s sad and exasperating that they listen to such ridiculous propaganda.

Gorgeous! The little girl has a beautiful voice and sings a very difficult song really well but the boy just looks super cool and really grown-up! Wonderful to see their close interaction with each other! Seeing young people like this fills the heart with hope when we are surrounded these days in this world With such darkness and negativity 💕💕💕

Absolutely made me smile. and I'm having THEE worst day so far and it's ONLY ten minutes to 9am. She looked adorable in her pretty white dress singing beautifully. Her big brother playing alongside her. They must have great bro/sis relationship. Continued blessings and again, thanks for making me smile. Remember, it's NOT easy standing up in front of a crowd (strangers or friends) and perform/talk and they are 10 yrs old?

I heard that harmony at the end 🎶 these kids have professional techniques. Is this what people saw when our most famous artists were still young and amateur? Idk..something just feels magical about this whole moment...like we're watching important history in the making.
Maybe a lot of people there feels the same...the applause was genuine and as the performance carried on everyone was silent and drawn in. Amazing talent and so brave. I tried out for a talent show in high school and got stage fright and couldn't continue. I was so upset and my girl friend just worried about me and comforted me. I said I was sorry for disappointing you and she said that's alright. Something like that. After all these years, it's hard to remember just what was said,, but that was the gist of it.
