- Diet is an important part of treatment of CKD patients. The patient as well as his family are guided by myths rather than a nephrologist or a dietician.Most kidney patients are weak and have a poor quality of life because they are hardly given nutritious diet to eat thanks to advice given by friends, neighbours and relatives. Very few dieticians in our country have experience with kidney diet as there are no specialised training courses. They blindly follow books written for western patients. A good diet makes a big difference to treatment of kidney disease and it is important that you consult the best kidney doctor available for this purpose. So please follow advice of the best transplant doctor who has experience in the subject instead of blindly following kidney diet charts.

Diabetes with CKD 5 what can be the diet. Aplazar tablets are saying low protien so he is given carbs diet but that is causing lot of sugar rise. Very c confused . On egg protien diet sugars got controlled but weight loss . He is 39 kg now Pls help me fix this for my father he is 75
