I was a little underwhelmed by his display of the force, considering it was set up like it was going to be this huge thing, like he had been probably practicing all this time. Yet even in Rebels, he had displayed stronger powers. Still, when he froze Shin's lightsaber, that was epic.
He was he pushing the plasma backwards ... shin was like wtf ... lol ... and its like he was born to play erza ... great casting ... really great casting for everyone 👍🏻
That crotchety dude on the council has ZERO human cyborg relations and I want Chopper to smack him around a bit before this is over. It's tough to theorize more based off this episode but so many cool moments. Ahsoka showing way more emotion is my favorite though, between the way she was talking about Anakin holding back tears and then legit laughing when she saw Ezra was so cool
The way that Hayden circles and that little staccato beat in the background is just *chefs kiss* with the audio of Anakin saying “General Grievous, Assaj Ventress … even Count Dooku.” There’s something about the beat and rhythm of that music with Anakin in clone wars gear that is just so right.

This episode was absolutely amazing, loved it sooo much, from having more Anakin and Ahsoka together even if he was just in hologram form with his training instructions to her! Also had a big smile the whole time with Sabine and Ezra together, such a perfect connection between them, also really loved seeing Sabine be able to force sense Ahsoka calling out to her as well as Ezra using just the force when fighting especially him stopping Shin's lightsaber, so cool! Happy you loved it as well and can't wait to hear you on the podcast, May the force be with you always ❤

Human cyborg relations… Good stuff. I believe that Baylan Skoll is speaking from Dave Filoni's perspective. The storyline following Thrawn's return to power is part of the predictable back and forth battle between light and dark in the Star Wars Universe. Baylan (and Filoni) are looking for something new to end this cycle and start a new beginning (i.e. a Ragnarok for Star Wars) that will bring a fresh change to reinvigorate the franchise. I'm hoping its Abeloth and that she will be the Thanos of Star Wars that leads into Dave Filoni's new mashup movie.
I was glad to see it was human cyborg relations making a cameo instead of R2. But I thought his movements were a little off from what Anthony Daniels used to do.

My three favorite parts from Ahsoka are 1. Anakin Skywalker Hologram telling Ahsoka to prepare herself for threats in case he's not there to protect her, 2. When C-3po appear as a cameo and 3.When Anakin mentioned Asajj Ventress for the first time in live action this episode was great and heroic 👍🏽👏🏾👍🏽

Interesting that every time in every series when confronted the Republic always refuses believe there are active fragments of the Empire. Also I believe Balin is looking for the unification of the Force through a merge of the two sides to achieve true balance. It very interesting to me his motivation for all this. I think it was a good episode. It does leave me feeling disappointed. If this was Rebel's we'd still have like 15 more episodes in the season. I guess, I'm feeling disappointed now, because it has become obvious we wont be getting all the answers this season. There just isn't enough time, to answer all the questions. That means we are going to have to wait years, for another season or film. Some of the answers I had hoped for: -What's Baylan's deal? This seems like it could take a whole season to answer. -Who is Shin, and what's her and Baylan's history? Also what will Shin do now? -The mysteries of the new galaxy, and Peridia. - With more episodes, we might have seen a story arc, where Ezra and Ahsoka are angry at Sabine, but eventually get over it. - Would have liked to see much more of the Night Sisters, their magic, their history/connection to the planet. - Obviously we will see whether or not Thrawn escapes, as the conclusion to the next episode. So that probably will be answered. As well, we will see whether our Rebels escape. I just wish we had at least 3 more episodes.
i have all of the same questions! i also wish this show was given a 12 episode format like Andor, but i’m thinking we’ll have a second season to look forward to. it’ll be hard to wait!
I thought about that the other day, but if you split the series down into 20-minute episodes like the animated Rebels, that's 19-20 episodes, almost a full season. Okay... from a certain point of view lol.

A lot of cool stuff this episode. Anakin, 3PO, more lightsaber battles. The waves in shin’s blade when Ezra was pushing it away with the force looked so awesome. I really like the actor playing Ezra, he’s doing an amazing job, and Ezra and Sabine fighting together was great. Regarding Baylan, I still don’t know what his endgame is, but he knew Shin wanted power so he parted ways with her so she could follow that path, which is not something he’s interested in. His goal is finding whatever power this is on that planet, which I’m wondering if it’s the same thing that has the witches so eager to leave. So many questions about that. Also that was totally Admiral Ackbar next to mon mothma in the court. And they should have let chopper take care of that one senator lol. I can’t wait for the finale, I hope it’s a long runtime. Hey Laney, this is indeed a really good episode. But for me, the problem is: Every episode pales in comparison to the one where Anakin shows up in the world between worlds. 😅 ... fortunately, we saw him as a hologram in this one. 😉
It’s a little odd… I hope @laneybyers can explain that one over at sith talk tomorrow. Because Thrawn said last episode he wanted to know everything about her, “her home world, upbringing, *her master,* everything.” I think it would be odd if he didn’t know but apparently he doesn’t because even in this episode he has to be told about it and then makes sure of it by checking with Morgan Ellsbeth. I’ve always questioned how he could’ve known Anakin without knowing that he became Vader but I guess that was still a secret from most people. Maybe he just didn’t know who Vader was under the mask. That’s my best guess. But I’m like … there’s no way he didn’t know. He’s survived everything.
Fun watching you react Laney. I disagree about this being the second best ep, but the highlight was definitely getting to see some addition human cyborg relations.
Agree with second fav episode. Not to detract by all the great stuff we saw this episode, but my favorite parts were seeing more force use again! Seeing Ahsoka jumping from the ship with a force landing, Ezra going ham with its use, it was so great to see again. I feel I haven't seen stuff like that, at least in live action, since seeing obi wan jumping in the prequels during grievous fight. I guess in Obi Wan Darth Vader did some wild things with it. But yeah those were highlights for me xD episode was great tho! Thrawns plan to leave bombs where ahsoka dropped in... holy scary brain that guy has... cool nightsister use of magic, Ahsoka trusting in the force to fly through the debris field. I’m gonna miss these characters. I know we’re getting the Thrawn movie in 2024, but … I’m gonna miss this show. I hope we get a season 2 which is gonna be set after the Thrawn movie. I know that Ewan wants an Obi Wan Kenobi season 2 as well, more focused on Vader which means more Hayden Christensen!!! (Please, Dave Filoni and Deborah Chao and Disney+!!!)

All the episodes have been 9's out of 10 for me , But this episode was definitely the worst 5 out of 10 And I'm being generous not good not bad. But yeah definitely had some of the worst fight Choreography I've seen in a while..And that's just one of the issues there's many more but I'm sure you could figure them out... But one is why not say yes Jacen is hera's son with kanan .. That would've been a really happy moment but still wouldn't of helped the episode.. Can't put my finger on the rest it's really hard to explain I just didn't feel this episode..

That means we are going to have to wait years, for another season or film. Some of the answers I had hoped for:
-What's Baylan's deal? This seems like it could take a whole season to answer.
-Who is Shin, and what's her and Baylan's history? Also what will Shin do now?
-The mysteries of the new galaxy, and Peridia.
- With more episodes, we might have seen a story arc, where Ezra and Ahsoka are angry at Sabine, but eventually get over it.
- Would have liked to see much more of the Night Sisters, their magic, their history/connection to the planet.
- Obviously we will see whether or not Thrawn escapes, as the conclusion to the next episode. So that probably will be answered. As well, we will see whether our Rebels escape. I just wish we had at least 3 more episodes.
i have all of the same questions! i also wish this show was given a 12 episode format like Andor, but i’m thinking we’ll have a second season to look forward to. it’ll be hard to wait!
I thought about that the other day, but if you split the series down into 20-minute episodes like the animated Rebels, that's 19-20 episodes, almost a full season. Okay... from a certain point of view lol.

A lot of cool stuff this episode. Anakin, 3PO, more lightsaber battles. The waves in shin’s blade when Ezra was pushing it away with the force looked so awesome. I really like the actor playing Ezra, he’s doing an amazing job, and Ezra and Sabine fighting together was great.
Regarding Baylan, I still don’t know what his endgame is, but he knew Shin wanted power so he parted ways with her so she could follow that path, which is not something he’s interested in. His goal is finding whatever power this is on that planet, which I’m wondering if it’s the same thing that has the witches so eager to leave. So many questions about that.
Also that was totally Admiral Ackbar next to mon mothma in the court. And they should have let chopper take care of that one senator lol. I can’t wait for the finale, I hope it’s a long runtime.

this is indeed a really good episode. But for me, the problem is:
Every episode pales in comparison to the one where Anakin shows up in the world between worlds. 😅
... fortunately, we saw him as a hologram in this one. 😉

4:04 I think in his books and maybe also comics we learn that Thrawn knows Anakin and that he became Vader too.
It’s a little odd… I hope @laneybyers can explain that one over at sith talk tomorrow. Because Thrawn said last episode he wanted to know everything about her, “her home world, upbringing, *her master,* everything.” I think it would be odd if he didn’t know but apparently he doesn’t because even in this episode he has to be told about it and then makes sure of it by checking with Morgan Ellsbeth. I’ve always questioned how he could’ve known Anakin without knowing that he became Vader but I guess that was still a secret from most people. Maybe he just didn’t know who Vader was under the mask. That’s my best guess. But I’m like … there’s no way he didn’t know. He’s survived everything.
I find it difficult to integrate human cyborg relations like they did with C-3PO into my commentary but it was amazing seeing him this episode!

The cargo is/are bodies of witches.. That's really the only thing you keep in Catacomb. I wouldn't be surprised if SNOKE's body is among them.
Agree with second fav episode. Not to detract by all the great stuff we saw this episode, but my favorite parts were seeing more force use again! Seeing Ahsoka jumping from the ship with a force landing, Ezra going ham with its use, it was so great to see again. I feel I haven't seen stuff like that, at least in live action, since seeing obi wan jumping in the prequels during grievous fight. I guess in Obi Wan Darth Vader did some wild things with it. But yeah those were highlights for me xD episode was great tho! Thrawns plan to leave bombs where ahsoka dropped in... holy scary brain that guy has... cool nightsister use of magic, Ahsoka trusting in the force to fly through the debris field. Omg the training holo was amazing too! Heras sass to the council member.

Baylan is the biggest wild card here. What is that cunning old wolf planning!? I haven't watched the episodes obsessively for clues because I'm still too busy working on a video for Ep. 5, but Baylan's agenda keeps haunting my thoughts.
I wonder which Planetary System Leia is the Senator of? Alderaan, ain't there, it's been totally blown away. Did the Ewoks vote her in as their Galactic Representative?

I’m gonna miss these characters. I know we’re getting the Thrawn movie in 2024, but … I’m gonna miss this show. I hope we get a season 2 which is gonna be set after the Thrawn movie.

All the episodes have been 9's out of 10 for me , But this episode was definitely the worst 5 out of 10 And I'm being generous not good not bad. But yeah definitely had some of the worst fight Choreography I've seen in a while..And that's just one of the issues there's many more but I'm sure you could figure them out... But one is why not say yes Jacen is hera's son with kanan .. That would've been a really happy moment but still wouldn't of helped the episode.. Can't put my finger on the rest it's really hard to explain I just didn't feel this episode..
