The nice thing about well-being items is they effect everyone in facilities adjacent to them, so like you put a roof next to the rooftop terrace so everyone sitting in the terrace will be able to gaze at that lovely roof while they’re kicking back relaxing, contemplating how perfectly engineered the triangular shape is and that will make them happy.
Also you probably have discovered this by now but explosives don’t use paper anymore, making a paper factory is just to make books so your beavers can read Log-Pumpers Monthly (they get it for the articles).
PUMPHOUSE magazine is where it's at, though. Best 🦫 profiles on the rack. Plus they have huge... tracks of forest for all the log pumping shoots.
You can do proper Aqueducts without blocking the river with the latest update, check this out before building it

no u can, the main game doesn't have that update at the moment. That update is just on the betabranch/experimental, and provably will be only there like 1 or 2 month cuz is hella buggy

Unless things have changed, the beavers can walk on the other blocks and it seems Matt always forgets that or doesn't know that. It would make blocking the Poocano easier

You've probably already recorded the next episode, but thinking: with the poo-cano, add stairs onto the existing levees if there's a path up to them that's ok and clear from poo-water, path the top, making sure it's not a zigzag but a complete barrier (will take more logs is the only issue) and then you don't need to wait for the next drought, if I'm thinking right - the beavers will be on the levees, which are above the escape height of the caldera on the opposite side, so all the poo flows off the map and you gain the slopes for whatever purposes, even if it's just stockpiling for the next assault onto the plug?
10:20 - For decorations, it builds up slowly as beavers sit within range of the building. Sticking them on a street corner is not enough. However, if a building is in the range of a decoration (or Awe building), then any beaver in the building accumulates charge for the entire time they're in the building, even if only a corner of the building covered.
I find that the best way to make things work is to build decorations and Awe buildings so that their influence covers either my well-being buildings or my lodges. Additionally, since the radius of decorations is in 2D, stacking lodges allows for greater decoration efficiency.
Architecture: Decorations on street corners with pastoral winding lanes of ground-level lodges.
Engineering: Decorations built in inaccessible areas between tall apartment towers.

You can build decorations on platforms over pathways to safe space
Yes, you can.
Pro(engineering)tip: If you put platforms on your paths you can build decoration on top of them for compactness. 👌
Also, most decoration that don't fit under a 1-tall platform fits under a 2-tall platform, so you can stack them!
Just gotta build support scaffolding to reach the top and disassemble it after.

I used to love rce's timberborn vids. He just plays like an absolute architect. And all of his "huge game ending projects" are like dinky little things that you can do in an hour. It is not impressive at all.

Curious if the 3D water patch will end up being a part of this season - would allow for a dramatically different aqueduct design.
You need an aquaduct or some sort of small river from your "safe" water source over to your smaller one otherwise you're going to lose a bunch of your farming and berries.

For the small reservoir, I suggest to change one log pumper to pumping contaminated water, that way you not only clean that water source up, but also get that resource for dynamite and/or medical water to clean contaminated beavers.

Just wondering about the small stagnant pond. If a dam is built around it with a multiple level gate to drain it off the back of the map when the bad tide comes in could it be opened enough to dump bad water and fill with mostly good water? I think he is a bit away from having a sluice.

Isn't it smarter to put decoration at the lodges, because the well-beeing bar just slowly fills up so when the beavers just run past the asthetics don't really reach them. Maybe you have to pretend beeing an architect for a while until the beavers have done enough science to know that shrubs und lanterns are useless.
Matt: why block the vulcano when you can detonate the edge until the pooh-level is below the edge and flows off the map edge?

Hello Engineers. I have benn looking through the videos of our fellow Engineer and noticed something unforgivable...THERE ARE NO VIDEOS ABOUT FACTORIO! (If you don't know what it is then let me enlighten you: You crash land on an alien planet with nothing except a few supplies. You need to get off the planet...and to do that you need to kill the inhabiting liforms, raise a factory and pollute the air, water and ground.) It is basically the best game ever created! Not to mention that the character you play as is named "the factorio engineer" ;) In conclusion PLEASE make a video about it! I would love to see...and probably not just me ;)

You can blast out trenches separate from the water sources and build water pumps that dump water into those trenches. It does require a lot of water though.
You should use the sluice gates! They make managing badwater a *lot* easier.

considering that every beaver requires 3 units of water per day and that Matt has 23 beavers at the start of the episode, his colony consumed 69 unit of water per day, now that a nice thing if I've ever seen one.

You can do aqueducts up on platforms now. You don't have to block off the entire valley.

I think the seasons should be longer so you could use some of the bad water curing and robots more, although you need to be safe so they don’t take over
