Thank you so much for playing my game, Matt, it's an honor! And thank you everyone enjoying the video and the game, it makes me super happy! (Also hexagons are bestagons!)
This game is absolutely adorable, I love the cartoony style, the saturation of the colors, and how the points scheme works. What a wonderful creation you've made. You should be so proud of what you've made.
I really like town builders, it's so cool watching people walk around, following cars, trains, but walking around in there is another level! Super cool, props to the dev!
In urbek city builder you can walk around your city from the view point of a citizen too, and I can confirm that such a viewpoint is very satisfying to look at the town or city you built from.
I'm just pulling my hair out each time he gets a "can go anywhere" tile and instead of unlocking 6 tiles anywhere he builds it adjacent to existing stuff and getting 2-3 new tiles. Especially near the end when he was complaining about his lack of options I wanted to grab him mouse from him :p
@@photoo848 When he got the golden tile he was really excited about getting 130 points. At 07:15 you can briefly see the gap just below would have given 156 points.
My family and I went to the museum in Jacksonville, FL today for my birthday and we went over the Main Street bridge. I've always loved big bridges and I got excited and I thought of you lol. That might be a good bridge for your real bridges series. 😊
If you want a more traditional city builder where you can walk around your city, there’s an iOS game called “Pocket City 2” that’s pretty great. You can even fly around on a hang glider.
The game looks great, but idk I feel like there are so many of these now. It's like with the vampire survivor clones. You just see them everywhere, new ones every week.
From a single dev? Impressive. Looks and sounds nice and the gameplay loop appears really addictive. Sadly no mac version for me, but you can't have everything, I suppose.
Day seventeen of asking Matt to add the Second Narrows Bridge, Ironworkers Memorial to the Wheel of Bridgetune It is a cantilevered truss bridge, carrying 6 lanes of traffic from Vancouver to North Vancouver in B.C. across the second narrowing of the Burrard Inlet. It's name comes from the fact that it collapsed twice during construction, which unalived 23 people in total (Hence the name, ironworkers memorial).
As long as it's supported by trusses or arches to bear the load of the building, then it's just weatherproofing your structure, and then it counts as engineering, right? But then, I'm both an artist and an engineer, which is suspiciously close to the path of the architect, so maybe that's exactly what an architect would want you to think?
@@KidarWolf feel like if u explain u wanna be able to c the trusses even from the inside and the windows are necessary u might just scrap past with only a few raised eye brows
I'ma ber honest, When RCE misread Ranger Camp as Banger Camp, I imagined a different kind of sausage with a bit of a stronger shape to it. Then I imagined a camp where they make great music, and it wasn't until he mentioned sausages that I remembered that they call some sausages that across the pond.
I think you'd like a game called "Urbek city builder", which is as more of a puzzle game than a city builder. It exploits the overlapping effects of building to ludicrous degrees. Made by a solo developer
When he got the golden tile he was really excited about getting 130 points. At 07:15 you can briefly see the gap just below would have given 156 points. 🤦♂
In Citystate 2 you can drive around in your car and explore your towns as well if you want. But it’s not like this hex game type. Its Style is somewhere between Urbek and Cities XXL
Reminds me of old versions of simcity where you could build a whole city, then fly through it in simcopter or drive through it in streets of sim city... Good times. (... Reticulating splines...)
Some see an engineer telling them to join the way of light and very strong shapes some see a cloaked figure in a back alley speaking in a gruff voice telling them to join the architect side then there's this game that throws both out the window efficiency beauty neither matter just get the points
Was recommended this video, which I missed, after watching the Tile Lands video... is this game made by the same dev? just with the other one potentially more mobile-friendly?
@@barancemcesme3903 In some situations it is, in some it's not. But to get a really high score, you do need to get a lot of these perfect placements - that's one of the main strategies for the game! :) You will not get a huge score if you just place it in the current highest-scoring tile, that would be too easy. This way there is more strategy involved.
If RCE likes my comment I can now sleep in peace!😍 Anyway, thank you for your videos RCE, in my tough days your videos makes me feel it's okay. Thank you!🤘

Cool game dude, I don't really like hex tile games but yours is super interesting
Thank you for proving a great game for all and RCE to play ♥️
I do hope you'll do a mobile port one day, because it looks right up my alley ^^

This reminds me of Mars Horizon, and the section where you expand your space-launch facilities and you get bonuses in exactly this way.
