Matt: “doing a Josh”
The devs: this is getting out of hand. Now there are two of them!
Doing a josh may have become a synonym for testing limits in playtesting
this is how far we've come now, doing a Josh. Nice xD The poor english analysts of the future wondering what the heck josh did hehe
Rce even yoinked the title lol
@@BeanMan72 omg he did
@@abc-nw3hiwhat DIDN’T Josh do? 🤣
All that work on the bridge and there was no BRIDGE REVIEEEEEW... Matts slacking

@RealCivilEngineerGaming you didn't need a review. You made it so perfectionis absolute

"Spiders are the Engineers of the insect world!"
Termites:"Are we a joke to you?!"
Ants: Hello
Bees:HELLO
Have you ever seen termite anthill? It looks like something done by Antoni Gaudi. Ants are architects!
@@SeewoFox Termite anthills are wonderworks of construction, extremely hard to destroy, and even use precise ventilation for airflow. Termites are definitely Engineers.
and at least they are actually insects.
I dare say spiders are architects have you seen spider webs they are way better looking than a termite hill@@SeewoFox
"Hmmm this makes me wonder what else I can put in the microwave?!" ...
*Cut's to spider innocently carrying cob of corn, then pans to microwave with 5 books jammed in the door ...
... not a word said about it.
xD
One of the best moments in the video XD
It's cool how the default is a not-so-spidery robot to limit the arachnophobia triggers, but you can then customize it to be a real spider if you want.
I was quite happy seeing a spider game without actual spider and he just immediately changed it, not so much as arachnophobia per se, but uncomfortable to watch
You can play this game as a ball, if you have arachnophobia. It's the first thing you will be asked when you start the game for the first time. This was a really cool choice of the developer.
This is the dumbest comment I've read, and I've read some pretty damn stupid stuff.
If you have a crippling fear of spiders, to the extent that even one in a cutesy cartoon style makes you cease to function, then why the hell are you watching/playing a game about being a spider?
I think the spideryness of your spider should be directly proportional to your fear of spiders.
@@PanicGiraffeI thought you meant “the more you fear spiders the more it should look like a spider” for a moment lol.
"Spiders are the Engineers of the insect world!"
Spiders: *Starts double checking amount of legs
Because engineers too, are kind of a different species than humans.
To be fair, he did say "insect world". There do be spiders in the reality of an insect (they would just rather there not be lol).
@@adamwalker3560 Y'know... I can't argue with that logic haha
No bridge review :( 2:54
I was so waiting for it 😢
Matt is losing his inner engineer. He is not excited for bridges anymore. Now he is an architect. Sad world
I was about to comment this.
Why was there no bridge review??
To be fair he built the bridge, it wasn't built in the game.

I think we found track 1 of Now! This is What I Call Engineering Volume 2
Lol
3:10 I feel like something was missed, a review.. of the bridge variety
Totally agree
The wavelength of microwaves is a few centimetres, it's why they have a turntable, there's "dead spots" in the oven where the waves coincide, so you need your food rotating through and out of all of them. That also means, though, that if you're quite a bit smaller than quarter the wavelength, there'll never be enough of a field across you to heat you up much at all. Hence spiders can _probably_ survive being microwaved, but please don't try it. And I mean spiders, not tarantulas, I doubt they'd do well.
I saw a video about this with fruit flies. They are largely immune to microwaves.
I have seen spiders pop in the microwave, they were large hobo spiders, so that might be why.
It's also why you heat small food In circular pattern on the plate in a microwave
Not so "micro", are they?
Tutorial: Shoot web to make a bridge
RCE: Do you prefer a suspension bridge, a cable stayed bridge or a beam bridge?
Suspension ftw
RCE: "there's like, a lemon"
Onion: >is clearly an onion<
Remind me to never let you offer me home-made lemonade.
I once got one like that at a bar, they cut the lemon slices with the onion knife. It was quite obvious.
@@patrickkeller2193 Ugh....
Onionade anyone? It is made by our favourite architect RCE.
@@57thorns Can you even juice an onion? Or do you just use the tears that come from cutting said onion?
@@patrickkeller2193question is: why do they have an onion knife at the bar? Are there onion-based cocktails?
With every single RCE video I watch, I find it harder and harder to believe Matt was smart enough to be an engineer. In this video, Matt believes spiders are insects and can't tell the difference between an onion and a lemon.
Have you ever watched the series. Engineering Disasters.
As a surveyor I can tell you…engineers really aren’t that smart 😂
One time, a kid in elementary threw a spork really high. We had one of those partially outdoor cafeterias. There was a spiderweb on the top corner, and it was really high up. For the next 4 years or so, that spork was stuck in the web
21:44 P.S. My dad and I love watching Lets Game it Out
Me too i love lets game it.out
“Is there a limit?”: the best quote ever, that usually ends with chaos.
9:05 If a spider's doing the dishes they can live here rent free
The water skippers or whatever they're called, are not spiders. Just thin insects.
Though there is a spider that dives down with an air bubble on its hairy rear, and lives in an underwater web diving bell.
some spiders can walk on the surface of water, such as fishing spiders
Nothing more terrifying than a dock spider the size of a dessert plate just hanging out next to the ladder when you're still in the water. Truly amazing creatures though.
They called strider :3 like the Minecraft strider
There's a Pokémon based on that, it's called Araquanid
"Let's do a Josh and see if there's a limit" That's the spirit 🙂
2:42 HOW DARE YOU NOT DO A BRIDGE REVIEW
RIOT!!!!
Because Matt made it himself
RCE has gone from engineer, to RUclipsr to web designer... what's next? Architect maybe?! 🙊
NO NOT ARCHITECT
This was a perfect dad joke, thank you for this.
ARCHITECT hawk 🤬
u can actaully flood the kitchen there is a way to glod the sink to flood the kitchen and theres a secret plug under a cabinet to drain the kitchen once flooded
2:48 imagine being a human and theres a massive 50 foot bridge made by a spider looking like that
I SCROLL DOWN FOR 20 SECONDS AND SCROLL BACK UP TO MY WORST NIGHTMARE HOLY SHIT Also you did good job mimicking Josh
COOL GAME.
the way you move stuff by repeatedly webbing it reminds me of a video i saw of a spider lifting a snail shell up into its web using gradually shorter and shorter strands of web.
takes a lot longer in real life when you actually have to walk between the points you’re attaching.
Love the video, but know if I walked home to see this…the house is no longer mine. It’s the spider’s.
What happens when you come home, find web everywhere, and stuff is moved around destroyed, cooked, cleaned....
22:22 i can only imagine the horror on the face of the humans when they walk it lol
OMG HE DID A JOSH (Let's Game It Out)
4:59 Matt: Ah I’ve just glitched my head through the ceiling
Also Matt: (glitches spider into *floor* )
Jeah okay, if there were spiders in my kitchen that can haul a potato I'd be scared too.
5:47 if the spider had a tiny hard hat on while dragging a potato across a web bridge, I would say “oh, hello Matt”, and assume someone was reincarnated.

No Bridge review?

It would be biased:(
5:46 "oh no i think my potato just turned on the oven" why is that so funny
21:51 The music and everything, thats amazing!! 😂
Fun spider fact: they can't get dizzy!
Unfun spider fact: spiders have a lot of fluid in their bodies since their limbs are controlled by hydraulic pressure. This means that larger species like tarantulas can die from falling because their abdomen can pop like a water balloon from the impact
watching just the 4:48 but the other way to make a proper sling would be to make a bow- or crossbow-like system when you (and the soap) are the finger or the trigger pulling the string. Basically you create a string in front of you then tie a perpendicular pulling string to it and the soap and another one at the back of the soap. Then you cut the one behind to get acceleration and then the string in front so you fling the soap towards. Dont know if it would actually work tho but considering the physics in this game it should
As an Australian, I believe that anything is possible where spiders are concerned.
Matt: An egg within an egg probably means it's hard-boiled...
In the not too distant future, we could have pilotable spider drones.
First prototype is more like a tarantula, or even a large crab, but slowly iterates into smaller and smaller units. Needs a radio and control package, an abdomen battery, a hydraulic pump and some valves, and a web or nylon dispenser.
Charges using contacts on the feet, on a lil pad somewhere
2:50 omg its magnificent, i dont think it needs a review! 11/10
Matt: "Spiders are the engineers of the insect world."
Spiders who are actually ARACHNIDS but doesn't mind to be complemented: 👀
In about a couple of weeks I will start Civil Engineering university!!! 🤙
Nice! I'm hoping to go into civil engineering, too. Do you mind telling me how hard the classes are when you start?
If I walk into my kitchen and see a spider cleaning my dishes, he's now my official roommate and I'm buying him a bed after work.
Cute little round fluffy spider! Wouldn't want to find one on me unexpected, but this does indeed look amusing. The soapy skateboard straight up gave me the giggles.
freaky video title
i just found out about this game and i already love it. the fact you are just allowed to web up everything however you like is awesome. you could just swing around and do parkour and stuff since the mobility is flexible
I got the game, I made 100 strings overstretching every physics object so now all the lamps and electrical cables are spaghetti occasionally leaving the boundaries of the map in under a second and back. very funny
21:44 Matt, was it my comment on the last video about not beating Josh that's made you now competitive with him? Lol That "Hold please" actually made me LOL 😂😂
Matt: "Water Walking-- we turn that on... we can walk across the water."
Me: Ah, yes. The rarely seen Jesus Spider. 😀
Ive nevwr had arachnaphobia but i definitely never liked spiders too much. Always freaked me out. But a couple weeks ago, i caught myself a dime sized bold jumping spider. Hes awesome. Hes made two really intricate web hammocks and its just awesome watching him engineer. Go spiders!!
Never trust a creature that has enough limbs to shrug, cross it's fingers behind it's back and continue working on its dastardly schemes simultaneously when you accuse it of plotting against you.
>Spiders are engineers of the INSECT world
**deep inhale**
You can use the sponge to fly. By attaching your self to it so left + right click, you can jump up as high as you want, by spamming space.
That HOLD PLEASE was so accurate that is now my favorite line i think you are gonna be caught in the web of spider games now HAHAHAHAAH
Now I can't even blame the spiders for making cobwebs everywhere, seeing how fun it is.
Me, which has arachnophobia: “this is how I combat my fears”
I spent my childhood in an old victorian house and this explains why the kitchen was always full of spider webs in the morning!!!
Obligatory:
“Spiders are the engineers of the insect world?! No, they’re the web developers of the insect world!”
The end of the bridge made me gasp, what an absolutely beautiful contraption

“Oh oh look at this I made a vehicle!” Now if you’d like ur own soap car only 4.99 super cheap for large size
Hi mat!! I think it would be cool if you built the New Mexico gorge bridge in poly bridge.
Loving the LGIO reference, even go the hold please, 2 hours later, and the music right 😂
0:06 At first I thought you said "cobbly eyes" which would have been a very appropriate reference to an awesome science fiction novel! (A Deepness In the Sky, featuring spider-like aliens)

this makes me glad my spiders only hunt for insects in my home. the moment they start cooking my breakfast i'll have to have a chat with them!

Sad there was no bridge review, but you made up for that with this Bridgeception of an episode, so many bridges on bridges 🤯

Your inner Josh? No, my child, Josh would have tried going outside the map.
thank you for making my day. I was having a terrible day, but now I feel a whole lot better watching your vids. thank you. :)
Thank you for showing this game off, getting "I Am Bread" vibes. I already added this to my wishlist.
This is one of the most charming and delightful videos you’ve ever made
Best bridges ever, and those soap-riding skills, I'm amazed 😄
Imagine killing a spider and it drops a note on your kitchen counter and it was a list of jobs to help you with 😅
If anyone in my family doubts you're an engineer, I'm showing them this video. Only an engineer would be that OCD about a vent bridge.
Day one of saying spiders are not insects, just call them engineers of the bug world.
I immediately downloaded the demo for mobile. I'm blown away. Been needing a platformer like this for mobile!!
Spider: Engineers of the insect world.
... Um. No. Two reasons. 1) Termites. 2) Spiders aren't insects.
If you fall into the working blender, you will be flinging out of it very fast.
Shooting web, is that what the kids are calling it now?
At the end there, if I walked into my home and it looked like that, I'm not sure whether to feel marvel or despair. Or like I walked in on the newest film set of Arachnophobia. In any case, I would likely leave and shut the door until I find a flamethrower.
The reference to Josh was amazing, 2 of my favorite RUclipsrs
Matt‘s hate for eggs comes straight from Moralton
