....PLAYING EU4!!!!! PLAY MORE!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!! This is like the first time ive seen you play this game. Id join the pay group to see you play this more often. Seriously.
Potato eu4? I sleep Potato eu4 Anbennar? Well I probably don't, cause I'll be watching potato conquering the mountains as an undead immortal goblin wizard
In the first war to humiliate, you can also take the "show strengh" option in the peace deal. It takes all 100% warscore, but it counts as humiliate and also grants you 100 of each mana point. Which is much better than taking money and other stuff. It gives you tech advantage early on making you better at winning wars faster and more efficently.
Nice. It took you just as long to finish your first turn for EU4 as it does for Civilization. This is how grand strategies should be.🧐 Edit: It's like you didn't notice france was fighting against AUSTRIA, Portugal, AND Switzerland. Give france some slack. 🥺
TuadhMhumhain is essentially North Munster. Pronounced "Tu-ah Moon" (or close to it). I'm delighted to see a bit of EU4 here. My proudest steam achievement is still conquering all of Ireland and Britain as an Irish one-province minor Nation.
I've seen a bunch of my friends playing this recently and figured I'd see what the gameplay was like and boom, Potato drops this video. This couldn't have been more perfectly timed!
I am pretty sure that hunting privateers does not actually kill privateers, just reduce the privateer share of the trade node. What you really need to worry about is getting caught out in a war when England declares on you. That's when the ships hunting privateers will actually kill your ships. But they would do so whether your ships are pirates or not.
cool, historically accurate use of privateers. during wartime they would build-up their fast boats with a few cannons and shields and wage unconventional warfare deputized by their flag
I really really enjoy the way potato narrates his videos where he's always giving a bit of explanation for different mechanics and why he's doing what he's doing. I have 150 hours in EU4 and I didn't know half this shit. How am I supposed to learn the crunchy stuff organically?
Organically in game? basically impossible. There are some tool tips once you know to look for. Some of the big modifiers--- army professionalism, prestige, stability, etc.--- tell you what they give you. To actually learn this stuff, you have to watch a let's play, a tutorial, or even just read the wiki.
I love pretty much everything you put out Potato. You do a really good job of talking through the reason for each step you take, so even if I'm not playing a particular game at the time, I imagine I'll be better when I do get around to picking it up. Keep up the good work dominating the strategy gaming world.
I'm so surprised by this video, and being that i am a EU4 player as well as a Civ player, i'm very excited about it. I just hope Potato will play more EU4, cause i would love to see it!❤
Great video! I hope we get to see what's next for Ireland! Also I love how you explain more of the mechanics. A lot of EU4 videos I find are more for people who know the game and I do not. So thanks for that!
You can click "allow attach" on an army to let your allies armies to move in lockstep with your own. Attaching ensures your entire stack arrives on the same day and allows you to make much better moves with your allies armies. Your allies won't always do it, but when they do it is very helpful. Also, Castille is very strong and usually a rival to England, unless they also rivaled France getting them on board would have probably have been possible.
To be honest with you, Potato, I love most of your content. Bout the only times I don’t is when I can tell you aren’t enjoying yourself. And I’m sure there are times you hide it better than others, but it’s the few times I could tell that I didn’t bother finishing the video or series or whatever. As long as you’re happy, passionate, and having fun it doesn’t matter what you are playing.
I enjoy watching all of your content, if you enjoy playing Europa Universalis 4 (a game I could probably never play or wrap my head around) then go for it. It seems for a while as if RUclips stopped recommending your videos to me so I'm happy this appeared. For me, your videos are great for a sort of 'companionship in the background' (I don't know to explain this without making it sound rude?), maybe the way Boomers leave the TV on all day for the sense of company? Basically, I can work on my own thing, have your videos on the second monitor and pop in and watch as much or as little, it's just good having your voice there blethering away as you do. You're funny and your videos are relaxing entertainment. I like that your videos are longer form, I like that you are laid back and you play the sort of games that you do because it's a sort of nostalgia trip for the types of games I grew up playing and watching be played. In summary; play what you enjoy. Your content and personality stands on its own. I also watch your videos when I do my ironing because - look at me... I'm the Boomer now.
Yes love EU4! AND your videos are the best so super happy! :) Would love a plathrough-tutioral via master - others are good but you explain things so well!
Yes i want to see more eu4. Want to learn how to play it and just waiting for some sale on it. And i learned a lot about civ 6 from you so i am happy to see u teach us new game
Dear Potato, I believe you have a small gap in your EU4 knowledge, as there must be more than 5 nations affected by your AE for a coalition to trigger.
Oooh, nice to see a non-Civ video from you that didn't get buried by the algorithm. Your Endless Legend video and your Millenia videos usually got recommended to me 3-4 days late, or I manually discovered them by checking my subs directly.
YES PLEASE! MORE EU4 (vic3 would be nice too). I love your style of content but civ ain't really my game so having alternate stuff to turn to is amazing.
Hello! Some tipps: You could've showed strength and gotten 100 man points in each category, still got the 30 power projection and ticked off the age objective of humiliating a rival. Your troops do replenish faster in your own territories but shift consolidating them means that empty regiments take 10 months to fully recover, while just letting a damaged troop sit on the fort while the other regiments replenish for 4 months in your territories would mean that you can start to siege faster. Nice video :)
If you do a "show of Strength" peace deal in a humiliation war it also counts as a humiliation in the age objective. And it gives you 100 of each mana points. Looking forward to seeing more videos if this!
lol variety potato is wild. I’ve been playing CK3 for a while but finally bashed through to play a little EU4, still don’t like it much but it’s funny to see you play it.
I just got back in to Civ so I want to see more of that, but more potato is always a win! If you do a civ series, would you consider doing a Vietnam science game? I found them tough to play at first because you have to destroy most of your productive tiles in the early/mid game in order to place your districts
A nation once again! :D
The Irish unification of 2024.
Petition to show this to Spiffing Brit and see how he responds
Is this multiplayer? That'd be fun to watch

Hunt pirates doesn't kill your ships, it just reduces their privateer efficiency.
Eu 4 great - ck3 greatest
Whaaat, Potato Universalis? Hope you play Project Caesar when it launches
Dude, make more EU4---if it's fun for you! I'm pretty burnt out on Civ.

I've spent so many hours in EU4. Good to see you've had some background/a guide going into it because this game is deep
Would love to see more EU4 content, and maybe some multiplayer collabs
Woot another of my favorite games!
10/10 would watch more EU4! Some achievement runs and meme games would be a blast to watch!
I've seen a bunch of my friends playing this recently and figured I'd see what the gameplay was like and boom, Potato drops this video. This couldn't have been more perfectly timed!
Loving the EU4-content. Probably my favourite game of all time so it's really cool seeing you play it
Always looking for new EU 4 content so it was a really pleasant surprise to see the game covered on this channel.

Great video. Thanks for picking up EU4.
Such a fun watch, I'd love to see more of this!

I love eu4!! I've been watching civ for so long and Im so glad to see this... keep it going! Thank you!
wasn't expecting an eu4 video lol. it's nice to see a video on a game i probably know better for a change tho
I'd love to see you make more EU4 videos! I always enjoy watching EU4 and it would be really cool to see you branch out to EU4 more.
Hell yea! More eu4! Cant wait to see you play eu5 as well
That was great. I would watch these videos all day!
More!!!! Watching my favorite Civ streamer play my favorite Grand Strat game! Thank you Potato
I'm so surprised by this video, and being that i am a EU4 player as well as a Civ player, i'm very excited about it. I just hope Potato will play more EU4, cause i would love to see it!❤
Please more of this, I love potatoe explaining in depth details of grand strategies
Great video! I hope we get to see what's next for Ireland! Also I love how you explain more of the mechanics. A lot of EU4 videos I find are more for people who know the game and I do not. So thanks for that!
Like, Subbed already, commenting yes more EU at least a few playthroughs!
Definitely want more Europa Universalis please, especially some good explainers, a la the stellar civ work
Potato doing EU4! Finally! I would love it if you make more EU4 content :D
enjoy the way you always do videos!
did not know you play this, Love the game myself and are happy to see more of it.

It does not ensure, that all armies arrive at same day. Different armies can have different movement speed.
I'm pretty sure the arrival date of the entire force would be the one of the slowest army (only when they're attached of course)
I loved your Brazil playthourgh. Loving this one too.
Pretty convincing way to get me to engage, props. I don't even know what this game is but I could watch you play any 4X.
To be honest with you, Potato, I love most of your content. Bout the only times I don’t is when I can tell you aren’t enjoying yourself. Love it, more EU4 videos please! Also would love to see a new Old World series when the DLC comes out at the end of May.

Finally, eu4! Great idea. Looking forward for more!
I've been watching you for a long time, but I moved from Civ to EU4 a while ago. It is awesome to see you playing this game too, keep it up!!
Potato playing my favorite game makes for a good day.
22:36 is that A Lifetime of War that I hear in the background, very faintly?
Great vid, hoping to get this game soon!
Love to see some more UE4, I don't have the time to play these big strategy games so I live vicariously through you. 😅
Loved the video
Please do more eu4 this game is awesome
i love the way you play eu4, a change of pace from most eu4 creators
Keep these videos coming!
Glad to see some EU4 content here :) btw coalitions need 5 members to form so you needn’t have worried
Great video Potato! I enjoyed it 👍
I would love more EU4 content! Especially continuing this Ireland campaign!
Yes love EU4! AND your videos are the best so super happy! :) Would love a plathrough-tutioral via master - others are good but you explain things so well!

EU4 is my favorite grand strategy game, and I'm glad that my favorite strategy game youtuber is playing it!
Great video!
Yay a united Oireland! Thank you Potato, I've had this game years but struggled to get through the how to play tutorials so this is peak content 😎
I've bough that game a while ago now and never played because I was too intimidated by it. Thanks for the content!
Dear Potato, I believe you have a small gap in your EU4 knowledge, as there must be more than 5 nations affected by your AE for a coalition to trigger.
Your videos on civ made me a much better civ player and would love to get better at EU4 - more more more!
There is a lot to cover with eu4 but you did it well, hope to see more videos!
Ooooh new game, neat! Would be interesting to see it continue!
Love eu4, love your videos, please do more 🙏 ❤️

Really enjoyed the EU4 content Potato!

Been hoping you'd play EU4, would love to see more
I love watching EU4. I pick it up to play every couple of years, but watching is a delight.
I really in an EU4 kick right now, so you doing EU4 videos is great :D

hey awesome video!
I love EU4 and I'm interesting to see your microing skills in this game
I didn't even know you played eu4. I've been watching other eu4 youtubers, so this is a nice surprise
Hello!

Looking forward to seeing more videos if this!
Its nice to see the Potato is expanding out of civ. A lot more variety to his videos, which is nice.
Really surprised to see you play EU4, but a welcome surprise at that.
This was great, would love to see some EU4 Anbennar Mod.
Please more EUIV
This is awesome!
I'd love to see you do more EU4, especially since 1.37 releases in 6 days. It'll be a good time to go through and play with the reworked nations.
I love EU4 with you!

Yeah, lets see it. Like seeing some new games presenting new challenges.
Would love to see more eu4 content, hope you cover the new dlc coming out
lol variety potato is wild. I’ve been playing CK3 for a while but finally bashed through to play a little EU4, still don’t like it much but it’s funny to see you play it.
1 minute in and potato has already said "force limit is just a number" we got a real EU4 player on our hands here lads
I just got back in to Civ so I want to see more of that, but more potato is always a win! If you do a civ series, would you consider doing a Vietnam science game? I would definitely watch more EU4. I forgot how much I've missed this game. Ages since I last played.
Ive been wanting to play eu4 again but i dont have the time to justify it right now. Would love to see some more content to scratch that itch for me
