Claudia was my favorite next to the bratty Amanda. The writers screwed up. They could have done a lot with Lindsey. They could have done so much with Matthew too.
Yes they should have kept a normal middle-class family in the story instead of over-egging the pudding with the fabulously wealthy at the Carrington mansion.
When Claudia admitted that she had slept with Steven several times Matthew took Lindsey with him and later on they said both she and Matthew were killed in an accident.
The repetitive scenes at the Blaisedale's house with crybaby Lindsey were the only bad thing about S1. Claudia was so annoying, that I remember being very surprised the writers kept her and not Matthew for S2. But she became so interesting as time went on that I was sorry when they wrote her out after S6.
