Spot on video when he said Sydney lives sub 51, Femke just visited it for first time. Possibilities, but the obvious bias is for Sydney.
McLaughlin 2 times, "lives sub 51" lol what?
Not bias just being honest about observations so far…
@@francescostano4445 Yes, that is locked in now, and yes it's twice as many times as Femke and .3 sec faster, so the smart bias is toward Sydney.
@@hyperboreandream8025 to say that she "lives sub 51" is complete nonsense, if she really lived sub 51 Bol would not have 3 of the top 6 times in history
@@hyperboreandream8025 yeah reality is that McLaughlin is 0.3 faster and nobody lives sub 51 for now
One of the most exciting races of the olimpics 🔥🔥🔥
Great to see this side of Gatlin. Only seen him on the track before and he looks soo serious, charged.
KEEP IN MIND....
Syd's sub 51's have been on one single track: Fast-ass Eugene.
Bol has a more diverse set of venues for her fast times.
Still, i'm #TeamSyd ...all the way
Julian Alfred ran 10.93 in Eugene and 10.78 in Jamaica the same week. Do you think the new Paris track won't be fast?
Femke ran sub 51 at altitude
Femke ran her sub 51 at high altitude. Femke don’t stand a chance
@@jayr6839 McLaughlin ran sub 51 only in Eugene lol. And altitude isn't even a thing in the 400mh, especially if it's only 900m above sea level
@@lucksonjackson9092what altitude? 990 meters???
Stoked to see this race! The Olympics are great this year!!!
The fact that this is even a conversation shows that people love anything that can stir drama. There's NO conversation to be had about these two. Sydney dominates the races when they clash to the point where Femke is almost not in the camera view. Until she shows up in a race pressuring Sydney then I suggests we let this "rivalry" sleep.
@@S_Uchiha89 you're still leaving in 2022?
🤣🤣🤣You are referring old hat BS from years ago when Bol had not even switched to the 14 step stride. REALITY: Progression of the difference in their PB's: 2022: 1.59 seconds, 2023: 0.8 seconds, 2024: 0.3 (!) seconds. Conclusion: Bol quickly coming closer to McLaughlin, and the difference is now just about arms lenght.
@@francescostano4445 let's see. Be back here after the final.
@@rientsdijkstra4266 be back here after the final
@@S_Uchiha89 Sorry, but I don't take orders from you.
Sydney has ran under 51 only one more time than Femke has
One was squeaked under, while the other has gone well under 51 both times
@@gavinbaskette4701 Development of the difference in their PB's: 2022: 1.59 seconds, 2023: 0.8 seconds, 2024: 0.3 seconds....
Femke needs to leave the mixed relays alone and get ready properly.
Agreed. Sure you have a chance to get a gold medal but it’s a mixed relay which usually isn’t the best of the best 400m runners for both the men and women. It’s more so the runners that didn’t qualify for the women or mens 4x400m.
@@BDT27 This.
@BDT27 You are talking about the USA. The US B-team is strong enough to win the mixed relay fairly easily. But other countries have to field thier best runners to medal in this event.
You told the truth Sydney is a beast she set the last 5 mr or and world record.
I think we’ll see a woman under 50 for the first time in the final
Yep, there is a good chance that Bol will go below 50.
@@rientsdijkstra4266I wouldn't say it's a good chance. She's only barely run under 51 seconds. I don't see her cutting her PB by an entire second.
@@MR12AMAZING Simple facts: McLaughlin improved her PB by 0.3 seconds between 2022 and 2024. Bol improved her PB by 1.32 seconds in the same period, from 52.27 to 50.95.
Short answer no… long answer hmm maybe but femke would have to run a personal best throughout all legs of the race and hope the 400 hurdle queen has a off day to have a chance…
eh, with a 0.3s difference, i don’t think a lot has to go wrong for sydney.
Short answer, no. Long answer, never. Athing-Keely is a better rivalry
how does she live under 51, if she’s only done it twice?
Sydney! Will run sub 50 in the
Olympics. 💨💨💨🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅
Dream further!
@@QuamfyMarc no dream just a point of reference
@@johnbarr6204 Not a realistic point for this Summer. Reference in coming years more likely. Sydney first have to run low 48s on flat with 'only' a 48.8s PB she doesnt run a sub50s 400mh.
@@QuamfyMarc Bol will push her to sub 50
@@QuamfyMarc .35 to go sub 50… Not a dream… very possible….
Sydney's been cruising into the finish line and breaking her own world record. Gametime, she's going to put half a block between her and anyone else. She's going sub 50 and I can't wait to see it.
Keep smokin da hopium brother. Bol just took the Gold from the US with a split of 47.93.
@@rientsdijkstra4266 Running in a relay against alternates who didn't make the cut in their events. ok Sounds like you've got the hopium.
@@Tadaia euhm... in a split of 47.93... Yeah, right...
@@rientsdijkstra4266 Dude Sydney ran 47.91 in a split in '22 at the World Championships.
@@Tadaia We will see on the 8th of August...
I dont think we've seen Sydney run her best yet. Anyone can tie up. But Sydney looks immune to pressure
Same goes for Femke.
This race will be a lot closer than everyone thinks. I love some Sydney. But you gotta give respect where its due, and Femke has improved significantly compared to their last meeting. This race is going all the way, probably the most exciting race at this years Olympics
Anybody can be beat on any day. The progression for both is crazy. Kinda how it was when Syndey was younger trying to catch up to the older ones. Bol arc is similar
Nah, Mahammed and Sydney were always close rivals, whose races were competitive, unlike Bol, who was never Sydney's rival.
Bol and Sydney are the same age.
@@jroc828and? Bol was 4 seconds slower when they were both 18. Look at her now
@@francescostano4445bol uas never challenged sydney in any race… not saying she can’t but it hasn’t happened yet I just see Sydney digging deeper to break her own WR again
@@byranwitherspoon5369 of course, the last time they met was 2 years ago lol
Sydney is my lil cousin...we respect all opponents..but we welcome everyone to second place..😉
If Femke runs a PB she did great. If that's enough for gold i dont know but it will be a great race
If both runners run their best, Sydney wins. If there is a misstep by Sydney, Lol wins. It is that close. Bol's only chance is for Sydney to not be 100%
Comparison of Femke (London 2024 51:30) and Sydney (Trials 2024 50.65) splits. Femke's times are from the printed splits at Omega timing. Syd's times are approximate, but I usually time them faster than they actually are.
Hurdle 6: Femke: 26.71, Sydney: 26.8
Hurdle 7: Femke: 31.21, Sydney: 31.3
Hurdle 8: Femke: 35.88, Sydney: 35.9
Hurdle 9: Femke: 40.70, Sydney 40.6
Hurdle 10: Femke: 45.55, Sydney 45.2
In other words, Syd has barely caught up to Femke by hurdle 9, but has put her away by hurdle 10. Who knows what that means for the actual Olympics, other than that it'll be a lot closer than 2022. Also, Femke has run faster than 51.30, but Sydney hasn't run faster than 50.65 (yet).
Look at Bol's London interview. She literally said she was going to try to die in the race rather than take it easy at first, then push.
So maybe she or her coach did hear you.
Bol is great she’s just gonna fall under the Sydney era, just like many great basketball players were denied rings in the MJ era, Malone, Barkley, Dexter, Ewing
Bol will beat mcLaughlin. Nobody is denying anything.
@@rientsdijkstra4266 your comment won’t age well
@@Rew2R Nope, it won´t. A.) I expect Bol to win, but that is my personal assessment, but B.) even iff mcLaughlin wins, that won't "deny" Bol anything. Your words are typical American nonsense.
@@rientsdijkstra4266 it’s just word play my guy McLaughlin winning will deny Bol from getting gold, hence the word deny, also your assessment is coming from a bias stance, mine is coming from a neutral place I have no dog in the race, my eye test just tells me
Sydney is a class of her own
@@Rew2R A.) You choice of words about "denying" is deeply rethorical and aimed at self/ego gratification. B.) My observations are "biased" and yours are "neutral". 🤣🤣🤣 Bro if you ever wanted to prove that you are a biased "bubble dweller" you just did that... REALITY is that McLaughlin is the favorite (yes), but that based on current facts the difference between is small enough that the form of the day for either of them will make the difference, and Bol has a real chance of winning it. Furthermore also OBJECTIVE facts show that Bol is rapidly gaining on McLaughlin. In 2022 the difference in their PB's was 1.59 seconds, in 2023 that was reduced to 0.8 seconds, and this recently this has been reduced to 0.3 seconds. These simple hard facts tell me that Bol is very likely to overtake McLaughlin. If not in Paris, then in the very near future.
Syd is not running no mixed 4x4 relay lol! Bobby ain’t even allowing that. Plus no need the USA 4x4 mixed relay is stacked
"Stacked" ? Yeah men running fast but without Sydney form not that great at Women side. Bad US women 400m times in London way above 50+ seconds. Not looking good. Jamaica, GB and maybe Netherlands can challenge US without Sydney. If Pryce not running mixed than no Gold possibility for Jamaica.
@@QuamfyMarc yes on the women side is stacked too. Shamier little sub 50 runner, Kaylin brown the Arkansas girl ran 49.13, and the other collegiate women
Sydney isnt running mixed relay lol her coach wouldn’t allow that.
@@QuamfyMarcthe women’s side is absolutely stacked especially in comparison to the teams you just mentioned-let’s be real about the fact that from a times standpoint, Jamaica doesn’t stand a chance in this particular race (with or without the brilliance of Pryce). The u.s. has the likes of Kendall Ellis, Aaliyah Butler, Alexis Holmes (who ran Bol down from behind with a 48.8 split at the last WC causing her to fall to the track), Kaylyn Brown, Shamier Little, and Quanera Hayes to choose from even if Sydney doesn’t run (which she probably won’t). I emphasized Holmes because she’s an excellent relay runner which she demonstrated at the University of Kentucky when she had a much slower pb.
@@ImagineJoyy US women besides Sydney are not strong enough. Look at DL London they were very bad. Also Femke and Lieke have beaten Alexis multiple times. Also Netherlands are Worldchampions Indoor & Outdoor beating USA easy. Trust me without Sydney US 4x4 women might got a problem.
If McLaughlin reverts to her, "I'm the victim" mentality, Femke will make her one in the Olympic finals. Femke wants to be on the track, McLaughlin acts like track is an impediment to her goals and she's tired of the burden. They have different mental outlooks on what they are doing. : )
What is the name of the commentator with the beard?
I generally respect your opinions, but you guys are not giving Bol the respect she deserves. You all did the same with Athing Mu. It's disrespectful to the "inform" nature of track.
She’s never finished within 1 second of Sydney. It’s not a rivalry it’s a foregone conclusion Sydney will win.
@@487porkchop lol they met only 2 times and the last one was 2 years ago. And in Tokyo Bol finished 0.5 behind
@@francescostano4445 Bol finished .57s behind in 2021 at the Tokoyo Olympics (which is not close in a 400m sprint); the following year at 2022 WC, Bol finished 1.59s behind Sydney. The reality is that Bol (a phenomenal talent) has never challenged Sydney in an actual race. It’s wild af people think that she has a chance to actually beat her (barring injury) when all available factual evidence says otherwise.
@@ImagineJoyy her best time is only 0.3 slower than McLaughlin's and she improving a lot faster, why wouldn't people think that she could beat her?
@@francescostano4445based on the facts, I think it’s wild af to think Bol is going to win.

She aint losing to that face-planting fraud
@Jiggy609 stop it. Yes..Sydney will most likely win in convincing fashion but calling Femke a fraud shows you don't know the sport.
@@Jiggy609 Femke WON 32 two races on the 400m and 400m hurdles in a ROW + 4 World Championships + 3 World Records in 2023 and 2024.
