How do keep the 4x4 level in the saddle? After I insert them with nut attached they are easily swayed sided to side. Using these for a deck. When I install the beams will it secure the posts up and prevent movement?

hey i bought 4 and am having difficulty getting them in the ground. they will go 2 feet and then just turn. would an auger be a solution and just back fill.
These Pylex are not affected by the frost, but the spytekdeck will be affect by the frost, which means that your deck will move not evenly ! So I will suggest to use only Pylex or Spytekdeck. If you use Pylex and hit a rock, that's unfortunate but you will need to dig and remove it.
Hi, I was wondering if there is a spec sheet, of some sorts. I live in Quebec, where the frost line is +/- 60 inches. A 50 inch Pylex screw won't go below the frost line. Is the application still appropriate?

I will suggest you to use a 1/2" rebar as shown at the beginning of this video. It's going to tell you 2 things : 1- If there's rock or anything that could prevent you to screw in the Pylex and 2- will guide the Pylex when you will screw in as the pipe in empty in the middle.
Wondering how you install these using an impact wrench ( if at all possible )

La barre d'armature à deux raison : 1- À déterminé s'il y aurait des roches/racines dans la terre et 2- puisque le tuyau du pieu est vide, cela permet de vissé le pieu le plus droit possible.
À 12" il faut marteler le pieux pour s'assurer d'une bonne compaction du sol.

Est-ce que vos pieux auraient la capacité portante pour un chalet d'un étage de 20' x 20'

Les test d'ingénieur ont démontré que chaque pieu peuvent supporté 5000 lbs dans le sable et 3500 lbs dans la glaise.Nous recommandons d'utilisé un pieu à tout les 4 pieds en dessous des murs porteurs et un à tout les 8 pieds ailleurs.
Il n'y a donc aucun problème à utilisé les pieux vissable Pylex pour soutenir votre chalet.
Il y a plusieurs clients qui ont déja utilisé nos pieux vissable pour leur chalet.

Pour une telle construction, il faudrait que l'hélice assiette soit plus grande que 8 po.
Buy 6 of them, try to put one and stop at 18 inc....return all all réno pépot, was not good for me.

The screw piles are not the solution to 100% of the situation, however by experiance it is the solu tion for decking at 95% or even more. these are not approved, engineered screw piles for decks and landings in the city I live in. I do grading work and some people had this in for their deck, and the town came out to inspect it and said a big no.
Hello Sir, they are approved by the Canadian National Building Code, International Building Code and testing has been made according to ASTM D1143-81. Engineer specs can be provided by email.
Often times city inspectors need to be encouraged to get with the times and look at new ways of doing things and actually look up the codes.
