    In France, a pastry cake with almond cream is eaten on January 6, 13 days after Christmas on December 25. It is said that this is because the journey of the three magi from Jerusalem to Bethlehem took a total of 13 days. It is also the winter solstice period, the season that ends the year.
    In ancient Rome, this winter solstice was also the time of the Saturnalia, the biggest event of the year. Beans (feve) were placed in this festive cake, and whoever found it on a served piece of cake later became king.
    Traces of the past can be found in the name of the cake that has now spread throughout Europe. Cakes eaten at the end of the year or New Year's Eve include Βασιλόπιτα/Vasilopita in Greece, Roscón de Reyes in Spain, and Bolo rei in Portugal.
    //Ingredients
    40g butter, at room temperature
    40g granulated sugar
    1 egg, at room temperature
    1T flour
    60g almond flour(hazelnut)

    1. Make Creme Patissiere simply. Add milk, sugar and cornstarch, stir well, put in a 700w microwave and turn it for 1 minute. Add the white chocolate to the hot mixture and melt, then add the yolk and nut flavored liqueur, stir well and microwave for 1 minute and 20 seconds.
    2. Add granulated sugar to butter at room temperature and mix.
    3. Add one egg that is not cold, add flour, almond powder (hazelnut), and creme patissiere and mix.
    4. Roll out the pastry dough and cut it into 2 circles with a diameter of 20cm, then add almond cream. At this time, add bean or porcelain doll(feves).
    5. Brush the edges of the pastry with water and stick them together.
    6. Brush egg yolk cream on the top and put it in the refrigerator to dry the outside for about an hour.
    7. Apply yolk cream again, make a hole in the center, and decorate the shape.
    8. Bake at 200 degrees for 10 minutes, then lower the temperature and bake at 180 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.
