HID Headlight Replacement on a GMC Acadia

Changing out a headlight on a 2013 GMC Acadia. This one has the HID headlights.

Would it be easier to take the tire off for more room?

So, about a month ago, I replaced the headlight on the other side (I didn't film it), but I ended up taking the whole assembly out. It took me about an extra hour, but it was easier to change out.
