    This is so helpful, trying to produce a lovely sound when playing my grade four pieces , is soo soo hard. Solviegs song is beautiful , how I wish
    That I could play it well, shifting of course is part of the problem. Then the tension sets in when trying so hard and one wonders whether to give up
    Altogether. So frustrating. You make it all look so easy.

      You can do it Brenda! Give yourself enough time to adopt and adjust the movement of both hands. Sometimes, pausing to check both hand's correct position can fix many things. Happy violin playing Brenda!

    Great summary, not too hard to remember since most things I knew about. The effect that each things has and how string number or length changes things is new. Many advanced ideas like changes, joints, weight which I will not concentrate on yet, but it is nice to know. I will probably add the finger flexing which seems essential to a change you cannot hear, I am comfortable enough with the bow to add that.

    Hi godess of melody n beauty ,i wana ask you how to play a brave or more long value note

    • @goldy741
      @goldy741 3 года назад +1

      A brave is 8 beats so you'll need a good amount of bow weight and length for the phrase you're playing.

    • @JoyLeeViolin
      @JoyLeeViolin  3 года назад

      For long slow bows, you would need to make the bow heavier and move the Contact Point closer to the bridge. Try on an open string first. Happy practising Mukkund!

    I have nearly 5 years playing violin and i think i am progressing even my teacher told me that i am doing hard pieces that he cannot do it ... But my biggest problem is that when i record myself i get confused and unable to show my real potential.. :( My question is how can a violinist overcome the fear and stress when he record himself or play in front of an audience ? And thank u 🤗🥰

    • @JoyLeeViolin

      Dear Amira, we all feel that way sometimes as performing in public comes with a certain level of stress. There are several things one can try which you can see from these videos. Happy trying! ruclips.net/video/WwZdE0L5r38/видео.html ruclips.net/video/q6wUQNdoCLY/видео.html

    • @JoyLeeViolin

      Hi Jub. Try to pause and have both hands ready then play a small section and continue in the same way. This way you can train your both hands to coordinate at the same time. Happy pracitsing!

    How to become a virtuoso violinist i started om 14 age now am 15

    • @goldy741
      @goldy741 3 года назад +8

      All you need is focused practice, a good teacher and a strong drive for learning the violin. It's going to take years before we can reach virtuoso levels of playing, and even then we we'd still be looking for ways to improve. Just keep your head up high, practice daily and enjoy the learning the violin.
