This is so different to your newer ones! Loved it. Your videos have made such a difference and been so helpful to me in my own endeavours. Thank you so much!
Lovely, dramatic Stuart. Funny this popped up on my feed after my recent comment on Poldarks Path part 2 that youtube was hiding your videos from 7 years ago. But this is not the video I was thinking of. There seem to be a few different paintings added at the end and its the final sort of plum coloured sky that I really liked. There must be others. 😊
Wonderful. Very inspiring. I thi k I'll go in my studio and try one like that. I always paint on canvas and your trick of wiping out to reveal the light doesn't work as well on canvas. This may be the first time I've seen you put pink in the sky with small artist brushes. I'm so impressed. Did you use a lot of oil?
I always love watching you paint, make jokes and make everything look like some accident you just happened to catch in time. With the time lapse and the music, it looked as though this big stormy monster crawled on to the canvas and you were doing your best to reason with it :-) Inspiring!
I truly enjoy your work! I want to be more expressive and free with my paintings especially when it comes to clouds. Your videos are helping me to achieve my goals, thank you!
I love your paintings and also your technique. It is a pleasure to watch your demos. Thank you very much for sharing your wonderful work. You won a new subscriber. Thumbs up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really enjoyed this fine painting. Half way through I thought you might be going for a body of water with some rocks out there and I thought, "Man, this is treacherous!"! Then with the finished product, I was amazed! My kind of day. Moody looking, but not enough to be dismal! You Sir are indeed an inspiration! Thanks for sharing your gift!
So beautiful. Stuart, do you have the final result in mind, when you begin a painting, or do you just let it go in whatever direction the strokes suggest to you, as you paint?
Beautifull style and I love to watch your painterly process. What music did you play here? Its very beautifull and opens into a dreamy and open creative space ----
Another beautiful landscape, I am fascinated how you create these paintings, the music was very relaxing too. Really helped me unwind , thank you.. :0)
Ur work is stunning...u make it look so easy and yet I know inside ur head sees a world beyond what others can see. That’s what it is like for me to write music and my writings..I’m always asked where”it” comes from ? And I have to say, I don’t know...”It” just does. Nice selection of music to go with this painting! I’m a child of the sixties and yes I imbibed with LSD and I am glad I did...it allows someone to see the answers to the universe and see beyond theses little dimensions...the sad part is when ur trip is over, those secrets and dimensions go back to where they reside...the cosmos. Until next time. May u find peace and joy in a flower, a glass of wine, a wedge of cheese and fruit. And the smell of a breeze on a fresh spring day...and May u be wrapped in its coils.
Hei, i love the sky 😍 bur i Wonder 🤔 are the sky the same Color in summer, vinter, spring and autumn 🤔and do You ever paint fog 😊 Thank You for all the good video and have a nice day 🤗 Hilsen Elin
Hi Hilsen Elin, one of the good things about skies is that you get a new one every day so whatever you paint has either already happened or, will happen one day. Yes, I have painted fog!
bonsoir stuart, je regarde encore cette video, vous privilegier plus les ciels dans vos peintures, ce qui est un atout , je trouve que le cuel fait tout , et j avoue que vous reussissez bien , magnifiqueeeee.

Thanks! I haven't actually painted a still life since my college days.
Very talented
Stunning piece of work
You are Caravagio of landscape mister Davies, thanks for lessons.
I really love your style of painting so loose and free , a joy to watch
Do let any of the sky dry first before going on to the next layer? Beautiful work!
Thanks, Yvon! Sometimes I do, but not for this one.
Love the music could you please tell me who it is please
There is a link in the ifo box under the video :-)
I had no idea this was your wife providing the vocals. She’s wonderful. Like the music too
I always love watching you paint, make jokes and make everything look like some accident you just happened to catch in time. With the time lapse and the music, it looked as though this big stormy monster crawled on to the canvas and you were doing your best to reason with it :-) Inspiring!
As usual, great piece of work, and the music is wonderful.
Mr Stuart, love your painting style. Brilliant!
Thanks, MyChilepepper :-)
Can water soluble oils be used instead?
I don't know, I've never used it. Not sure how it works bearing in mind that oil and water don't mix!
For heavens sake, no wonder you exhaust yourself Stuart painting at that speed lol! Interesting to see you painting on canvas too.
Thank you!
I was feeling stuck until I found your channel. Thank you for the inspiration!
Thanks, Meredith :-)
Stuart, would love to see the pallet of color your working from.
What are the colours you are using? Payne’s Grey, Burnt Umber for the really dark?
Payne's Grey. I never use Burnt Umber.
Very beautiful painting and the music fits so well with the paintings mood 🎨👌💖😍
Amazing, and love the music too. Going to attempt your style. Well maybe!
Love it, beautiful as usual 🎨😉
At one point I thought it was going to be a waterfalls.
I have to get myself some plywood...this looks crazy fun!!
I truly enjoy your work! I want to be more expressive and free with my paintings especially when it comes to clouds. Your videos are helping me to achieve my goals, thank you!
i love your painting.. very dramatic
Thanks, barbaranne boyer !
Do you use liquid White on your canvases
I love your paintings and also your technique. It is a pleasure to watch your demos. Thank you very much for sharing your wonderful work. You won a new subscriber. Thumbs up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks, Humberto :-)
This is pretty cool. If you don't mind me asking, what shade/colour blue is that? the one that's used on the sky.
Thanks! It's Ultramarine with some Payne's grey.
I really enjoyed this fine painting. Half way through I thought you might be going for a body of water with some rocks out there and I thought, "Man, this is treacherous!"! So beautiful. Stuart, do you have the final result in mind, when you begin a painting, or do you just let it go in whatever direction the strokes suggest to you, as you paint?
Thanks, Michelle! I tend to make it up as I paint.
Thank you for sharing your work - it's really helpful for overcoming my 'inspiration crisis' and skill up as well :-)
Beautifull style and I love to watch your painterly process. What music did you play here? Its very beautifull and opens into a dreamy and open creative space ----
Oh you have written the vocals - Thank you very much.
Another beautiful landscape, I am fascinated how you create these paintings, the music was very relaxing too. Really helped me unwind , thank you.. :0)
Wow that is beautiful. Sigh.
What medium and amounts did you use? -in dark skies.
Oil paint and linseed oil mixed to the same consistency as maple syrup :-)
What color is on the right?
Payne's grey, carmine and a bit of red ochre + white.
Thanks! I really enjoy watching you paint. I watched Dennis Shehan, but your work is much more intriguing.
Love it!

Hilsen Elin
Hi Hilsen Elin, one of the good things about skies is that you get a new one every day so whatever you paint has either already happened or, will happen one day. Yes, I have painted fog!

Arif Ahmad Thanks, Arif.
Is “Dark Skies on canvas or board?
Canvas.
bravo!
Thank you!
Why not upload this in real time.
I don't have the video clips. They were lost in a computer crash.
Couldn’t you paint similar again.
Wonderful. Thank you but, please no music. Distracting.
Very clever and seemingly easy but I am sure it is not. Nice one.
Fantastic!
Jeffrey Weathers Thanks, Jeffrey!
