      Depends … if the Olympic track has long steep climbs, then I agree. If there are more short punchy climbs, it might be more open.
      I can understand that he is received with mixed feelings, btw. Personally I can relate since I too am (many leagues below these guys 😉) small and excel on climbs particularly.
      Yes, he is supremely talented. And while he will find it difficult to be the best in some biking disciplines du to his physique, his small size benefits him in XCO. That’s why I wish him all the best and hope for his 2nd successive Olympic Gold 👍

    Courses in the future should have jumps over burning fires, sections that have snipers with live ammo, and 1 kilometer climbs with an average grade of 80%. Those climbs need to have course marshals standing there with water hoses to ensure the dirt is mud, or use broken glass for the surface.

    Reasons why Red Bull was better:
    1) It was FREE and easy to view.
    2) Because it was free more people watched it. Whopp is too busy trying to make a buck.
    3) We saw more racing. Whilst the addition of Junior Finals coverage is a positive though.
    4) Red Bull's graphics were better.
    5) Current coverage is a pain in the a@$ to watch and are not started on time.
    6) The short race coverage are okay but just a tease to get you to buy the subscription to watch live.

      Cyclocross riders deal with this kind of stuff all the time. When I raced XC in Alaska, we often had races like this where we would start the race with brand new cables and housings and would have to replace all of it by the end of the race. And the mud up there was much worse because it was full of glacial silt and was incredibly slick and got into EVERYTHING. Dealing with trail conditions is part of racing. The only questionable part in my mind was that rock garden; creating barriers with sharp rocks jutting upwards in between the lines was a bad decision.

    • @XavierHipolito
      @XavierHipolito 6 месяцев назад

      @@keirfarnum6811 cyclocross is suposed to be like that, XCO no. Makes no sense having the riders running on climbs. I do agree that's part of it but it would be better if they waited for better conditions. Yup, that rock garden is nasty!

    I feel like rodies should not be able to race mountain bike there budget to spend on training camps is 100000 to the mountain bikers 1000 dollars it just is not fair that they can super cross race like that

      That makes no sense. Cycling is cycling, regardless of how much one spends on a training camp. That’s not what makes someone fast and fit.

      @@keirfarnum6811 yes but it is so much harder for someone who does not have the huge roadie budget to compete with them a top mtber can probly go to one elevation camp a year a Rodie goes to 12 giving them a huge advantage

      Naw. There’s no reason why this can’t help in training for the tour depending on schedule.
