  • In this video we test the off road capabilities on the rocky hills surrounding lake Pleasant. Coming from the military and having done extensive testing on the Hummers in off road terrain I can say for a consumer vehicle this truck certainly feels right at home on this rocky terrain.

    being that you work on Ford vehicles, how do you like the eco diesel compared to the eco boost? what are your likes and dislikes about the diesel and have you hand any problems with the truck?

    • @RamEcoDieselSource
      @RamEcoDieselSource  8 лет назад +3

      +Arvis Livingston I have 15k miles on the truck and still love it even when we drove for long periods of time on the tour. I really cannot say how I like working on it as I have only done my basic maintenance on it. I have no dislikes about the diesel at all.

      My next truck will most likely be a dodge, been a Ford Truck owner for the past 15 years but after a bad experience with a 6.0 diesel and various issues with my 5.4 3v i think it's time to move on

      +Bullshitkorner be careful with what transmission you end up with and I wouldn't go with the ecodiesel unless you want a dangerously slow truck.

    Hi from Chandler: Is that the Laramie? Does it have the air suspension? It's sharp - nice truck.

    • @RamEcoDieselSource
      @RamEcoDieselSource  8 лет назад

      Laramie yes but no air suspension thankfully

    • @rgrndu
      @rgrndu 8 лет назад

      Why (no air suspension) thankfully? Another reviewer said it offered the nicest riding pickup he'd driven.

    • @RamEcoDieselSource
      @RamEcoDieselSource  8 лет назад +2

      Air suspension is very nice but very troublesome in any make and model. Not to mention this particular system is fully sealed and requires nitrogen refill after any failures or repairs which most dealers don't have.

      3.5 years with Air Ride suspension. Zero problems. (Even with some techs at times forgetting to put the suspension in Jack mode during service)

    This guy is not a Ford tech. If he were, he'd be out of a job. Not because he's driving an inferior truck, but because he is posting videos about a BS experience about how he tried to order a Ford F 150 going through his dealers website. Anyone who works at a Ford dealership knows that is about the dumbest way in the world to order a truck. You go straight to the guy who runs the BDC at your Ford dealership and he sits down with you and orders it to your specs and you get D plan pricing. I've done it 3 times. This guy works for Dodge. I don't care what he says. End of story.

      +stefan ray Ok well then what am I doing in the 400 videos before I left the dealer and decided to start my own company? Not all dealers are the same some are good but most are bad. My Ford dealer was what most in our management called "not a real dealer" as in they were not organized very well and didn't know the brand or how basic operations took place that is why I looked up the specs and packages myself on my own time without pressure to "build" and quote the perfect vehicle before buying it. D plan comes later and is a set amount taken off the base model price. You saying I was not a Ford tech without researching it is like saying I wasn't in the Marines because I am not the biggest guy but there I am there in the history books. Look up Task Force Tripoli..........See here- ruclips.net/user/FordTechMakuloco

      I know if I made my living as a mechanic I'd work at a Ford dealership. I mean theirs nothing like job security.
