Hyper99 didn’t know that I wonder if the sames true for the Trilogy on PC I have the trilogy for iPhone but this case is damn near unsolvable in it because of the part where you have to pause the video and point out the contradiction and the vase part 🤦🏽♂️
And this right here is the reason this case remains one of my top favorite Ace Attorney cases. That and the fact that it had the most memorable characters, most complex plot, most difficult case, the longest case, and one of the most memorable villains.
Sure Von Karma is scary ass Prosecutor, but nothing beats the feeling of tag team between Defense Attorney and Prosecutor against police chief. Trully worth to be the final case of 1st game.
I actually thought about this line when playing Great Ace Attorney 2, where a character delivers a similar line: "may you feel the jaws of the beast at your throat every time you swallow."

I don't think he was an evil man to begin with. Just another cop that lost sight of the bigger picture. It must have weighted on his mind the horrible things he done to his once trusted parnter, friends, and allies. He even expresses how the once good man he was had been gone a long time and appreciated how the detectives he screwed over really did know how to do their jobs along with Phoenix and Miles' teamwork. His problem was that he forgot that he had the same kind of team and tried to go alone.
Still the best breakdown in the entire series. I absolutely love this scene Gant, knowing that he's completely been backed into a corner by the evidence, just lets out a massive, psychotic laugh, knowing that everything's all over and he can finally just let it out.
Damon Gant was a brilliant detective, chief and blackmailer. The only thing he's bad at is beign a criminal. He needed only to kill detective first and then rip the cloth and then nobody would even know about it.
Phoenix would probably try thinking out of the box and finding the true chain of events, but without evidence, Damon would probably pull another mind game to prove that he’s “innocent”.
just wanna point out that at this point he has already admitted to his forgery and blackmailing because he said its better than being labelled as the murderer. even if wright couldnt prove him guilty of the murders, gant was probably toast either way
Damon Gant truly feels like a final boss, he has so much power to abuse it's almost like impossible to put him to jail until you have the decisive evidence that could bring him down. His breakdown animation though, it doesn't even look like him, he is a demon indeed (while Angel Starr on the other hand is a true angel who is innocent)
We can only hope that they save it for another season or hell even a movie special or something with how long this case was. Hopefully they may do it before going into Apollo Justice story but that's just my guess.

Even though he’s done horrible things, he still had the decency to confess when he knew he couldn’t hide his crimes anymore. I feel like behind the cruel manipulative mask on him, there’s still the decent man he once was…
I've only done the first three games but after Dahlia, Damon my favorite villian. I fricking loved his personal theme. He really seemed like a kind, easy going guy which made it a bit upsetting that he was such a huge psycho.

When I played this game the first time hearing Damon Gant's theme gave me goosebumps because originally the song represents grandeur but when you hear it in the breakdown you see the hidden meaning in the song

He could clap even faster if the game ran at 60 or even an unheard of 120fps. But the effect would be identical, so it wouldn't matter much.

I've seen some interpretations that state that he's not sad nor mad when he got backed into a corner because he finally believed in justice again.
