Ez, nice to see yet another unfiltered part of you, I'm happy to hear that you came to this realization for yourself and took steps to prevent it from negatively impacting your life any further. Addiction can be a terrible thing, with monumental consequences, as I've alluded to before - I have lost family members because of it, so I know the ultimate impact it can have. I drink maybe one G&T or beer a week, if I'm going out, but I never get drunk, specifically so that I'm always in control and not putting myself at risk. I'm glad you're now in a similar position. I know the substance abuse can be difficult to deal with i had the same with smoking i feel like absolute shit when i smoke more than couple of cigarettes in short period of time and don't get me starting on vaping (absolute evil) Never had problems like you did with alcohol, i drink sometimes really rarely only to enjoy the taste , love me some good wine with cheeses as well, had some wild parting in my 20s but i never needed a drink to socialize myself ( but can understand what you meant) i just love everyone more than usual lol Glad you started this journey and we will as a community help you to prosper and enjoy life even more by just being yourself and do whatever makes feel good!

Yep, vsping is certainly evil. Quit 26 days ago and feel like I have been hit with a sledgehammer. Super severe withdrawal symptoms. Never again. I'm done with all nicotine products.

It's been a little over 6 months since I discovered your channel, so it seems I discovered you right at the time you quit. I can't say I have ever been a drinker, never been drunk and never liked the taste of most alcohol, but usually people who are on the road to major success with something, alcohol is not in the equation. Yep, any amount of alcohol consumed by me, no matter how small, upsets my brain chemistry. One or two big sessions close together, and I'm usually months recovering from depression and anxiety. Took me a long time to finally quit......didn't want to let go of this social crutch, but no choice now because I was heading towards suicide. 6 months of sobriety now, thank god.

I’m not love reacting how you feel / felt because I’ve been there too and although I’m sure we all feel slightly different, I can absolutely relate to what your saying. Great video mate! I can relate to it. I'm currently on a break myself. Drinking is not fun for me anymore, and it doesn't do it for me. I feel much healthier, and the thought of waking up early to go to the gym is much more satisfying than going out and drinking. I haven't drunk anything since June. I was nowhere near an alcoholic but it got to a stage where drinking did nothing for me so going cold turkey was the most practical option despite the fact that Australia's culture is known to glorify alcohol. Thanks for sharing your story.

Yep, any amount of alcohol consumed by me, no matter how small, upsets my brain chemistry. One or two big sessions close together, and I'm usually months recovering from depression and anxiety. Took me a long time to finally quit......didn't want to let go of this social crutch, but no choice now because I was heading towards suicide. 6 months of sobriety now, thank god.
Just to confirm - I’m “love reacting” to the comment because I really appreciate how open and honest you were there. I’m not love reacting how you feel / felt because I’ve been there too and although I’m sure we all feel slightly different, I can absolutely relate to what your saying. Keep going buddy, well done on quitting and investing in yourself. It sounds like life is better off this way for you and that the booze was potentially too dangerous for you to consume in the end. Great video mate! I can relate to it. I'm currently on a break myself. Drinking is not fun for me anymore, and it doesn't do it for me. I feel much healthier, and the thought of waking up early to go to the gym is much more satisfying than going out and drinking. I haven't drunk anything since June. I was nowhere near an alcoholic but it got to a stage where drinking did nothing for me so going cold turkey was the most practical option despite the fact that Australia's culture is known to glorify alcohol. Thanks for sharing your story.

You cant drink, there is no reason you want to drink more and more other than that you are someone that has the genes that crave it. ITs good you realised its not serving you, I am 38 and have messed up my life, but I am going to beat this. I can and I will.

4 months into my sober journey and the changes for me are just as drastic and positive. So nice to hear someone else had the same drinking habits as me, I related to so much of what you described. Well done and keep it up. 6 months is a great achievement when you had habits like that.
