The movie is correct only for North America. That animals, that in North America called "moose", in Europe is called only "elk". Historically precisely they are only "elks". "Moose" is a word appeared only in North America, and it derives from Indian languages. In Europe this animals are only "elks" (no "mooses" in Europe at all - it's the same animals as "mooses" in North America, but in Europe they are "elks", no "mooses"). And animals that called "elks" in North America (wapiti deers), do not live in Europe at all. In Europe live only "elks", which in North America called "moose".

"Moose" is both singular and plural. No such thing as "mooses".

@@tonysmith4091 Of course there are mooses. They brought the stone tablets down from the mountain.

@@pentassugliamario6914 In Europe we more likely call Wapiti as Wapiti (which is not live in Europe), but North Americans usually call them "Elk". And we in Europe call in English (and historically always called) as "Elk" the animals which North Americans call "Moose".

You are wrong. We have no elk in Sweden only moose.

Elk have longer slender antlers that move backwards instead of sideways. Moose are bigger and thicker sideways but not as tall. Moose are more broad size wise and have a lengthy face. Elk look similar to deer with the head, but much bigger than deer. Moose are the hugest of the three.

Moose and Elk are different, but they are both magnificent, beautiful animals that are peaceful and mean no harm to humans. Only when startled, or made to feel threatened, would they pose any danger to people, and even then they will try to get away if they can rather than attacking.
