I'm not going to front I actually despised Harrowmaster. I felt outside of seeing the day to day of AL legionaries it was pretty god awful. Mike Brooks also has a nasty habit of well being nasty to the fandom. The bit about I am not Alpharius, the Enhanced "female space soldier" bit, and indifference towards his primarch and his weapon was very sour grapes. However Shroud is peak AL, and a confrontation between them and the Ghost legion could be a great novel.
Seeing those tweets in the video amd your comment Im convinced he wanted to stick it to the fanbase much like the activist leftist writers in comics/games/movies etc. They typically find the fanbase to be full of bigots(regardless if true or not) and they seem to write things to spite the fans rather than for the fans. It's a shame I would have liked to read the book but brooks does not strike me as the kind to stay professional in his work.

Mike brooks falls into a special category, and imo should be treated with utmost scorn. Both Alpharius and Omegon were given the acuity, not just Alpharius. In Praetorian of Dorn, if you pay close attention, you realize that it was Omegon who was killed by Dorn, not Alpharius. Alpharius had always decided to stay in the shadows and mostly let Omegon be the face of the legion.
I'ma be honest considering their whole deal there is like a 50/50 chance they are actually the most unified legion and are just playing the part of having 4 main sects to better play every side to their own true ends.
