It's refreshing to see a solid deep dive on this by someone who is passionate about the most Alpha of Legions. I feel like too many lore channels focus too heavily on one aspect or another of the legion, skewing the pespectively heavily as if that is the whole of the picture. But the Alpha Legion is filled with loyalists, traitors, and everything in between, which is only exacerbated by the fragmentation they've suffered like many of the other traitor legions. I do hope that one day GW gets around to giving us a proper Alpha Legion civil war, probably with the return of Alpharius/Omegon to the 40k setting. But that's probably a long way off at best.
Every other Chaos Legion has begun to reunite or reform, mostly around their Primarchs or their successors like Talos 2.0 or Abaddon, it seem Criminal for the Alpha Legion to not do the same even if at the cost of a civil war.
I think we just need something to galvanize the loyalist elements into a proper counterpart to the traitorous elements. It would have the twin theme in their leadership and has some fun narrative potential of them setting aside their differences when given common cause. Effectively finding, if only for a brief time, a course of action not exclusive to either, a third path. Feels like a backwards enough way of not only reuniting the different sides of the legion under a new purpose that mirrors that of their gene-father.

Favorite character I've made for one of the Fantasy Flight 40k TTPRG's was an Alpha Legion marine. He had no name, just a code name. He remembered the Heresy but there where many gaps in his memory of the following 10.000 years and was strangely unmarked by any chaos corruption. All he did ever did was follow his orders, given to him by Alpharius Omegon himself. Follow "the plan". And he did, even though he never really know what "the plan" was. Many of his memories where locked behind certain conditions and code phrases that, if achieved or spoken, would give him access to remember more of "the plan". He wore an original corvus armor, stolen from the Raven Guard in ancient times, but remarkedly well preserved for being 10.000 year old. He was notorious among the Inquisition, who had created an entire Ordo Minoris just to deal with him, and they seemingly had by killing him, several times, only for him to mysteriously reappear again some decades later each time. The secret was that he was not just one marine but many. Every time a version of him died another Alpha Legionary would get the memories of all the precious ones available transplanted into him and become the new one. Then that version would spend some time anonymously, gathering new and old contacts, finding old and new war gear, and then suddenly just reappear out of nothing in the galactic scene. And then continue "the plan".

What if Alpharius's death is retconned in the future by GW and it's revealed to be just a dream/false memory Rogal Dorn had? Not a hard thing to write in a setting where Psychic powers can brainwash people, case in point 2nd and 11th Primarchs.

I think the shattering was intentional on Omegon's part. The "third way" was endless war between humanity and Chaos (think in Legion about Alpharius' thought experiment that utopias are impossible to reach, but empires and built and maintained by constant conflict). Once Alpharius was out of the picture, Omegon had to balance the equation by taking himself out of the Legion's command structure. Without either Primarch to guide them, infighting increased, playing both sides continued. The goal is not to fully destroy the Imperium or Chaos, but to lock them both in a never-ending cycle of war.
Even if that wasnt their intention between the two of them, that was definitely the results they are getting. I like that much better than the written-in goal to destroy humanity/imperium to rid the world of chaos.
I have always been in love with the idea that the Alpha Legion Stasis pods under the Imperial Palace have been left in tact. The Custodes know the codes and see prematurely killing them off as weakening Terra's hand if shit gets so bad that they need a quick boost of reinforcements, or a distraction. Like, almost EVERY Bloodgame has the invading Custodes ponder opening one or two, but leaves them there out of a mixed sense of pride and duty. EVERY resource is at their disposal, if they can get their hands on it. This though? It stays. *Queue image of a Custodes slapping the mechadendrite of a curious Martian priest.*

So im a bit confused on the naming. To my understanding, alpharius is the one found on earth, omegon is the alien spear one found later. From what you stated in this and the other video(third path) you say the alien one died on pluto. So if the alien one, omegon, died on pluto, why do u refer the escrador one as “omegon-turned -alpharius”? Sorry if this is a dumb questions just a bit confused. To my knowledge, “Pluto Alpharius” is omegon, and “Escrador Alpharius” is Alpharius.

On the note of people potentially not recognising a Primarch, there's the War of the False Primarch still lurking in the background. I know it's unlikely, but I love to entertain the possibility that the False Primarch was indeed Omegon and things played out exactly as you described.
I believe that the Alpha Legion is very poorly, wrecklessly written because their story really never goes anywhere. It's also really pushed and pushed that they are mysterious and "grey".
Why do keep saying matter of factly that th Orginal Alpharius is the one who died when the general opinion and to my knowledge the only real evidence we have is that it was Omegon named Alpharius who died and the Orginal one survived?
I play Dark Angels and people love to say they're secretly traitors. Some play Alpha Legion and say they're secretly Loyal. I say they're both Alpha Legion, that the Lion is Alpharius and Alpharius is Omegon. I base this on literally nothing.
Excellent video. I love the thoroughness of your content. I think having them splintered suits GW’s narrative interests at present. That keeps you guessing what a specific group of Alpha Legion marines in a story are really up to.
We need a book where there’s a civil war or about a planet in which one side is being supported with traitors and one with loyalist be it Space Marine or Imperial Guard or just a book about Omegon coming back into the future
I read that same book 14 years ago. How time flies. I really could’ve done a 40k channel before 99% of people today. I wonder how that might have been…
Is it possible that the Alpha Legionary with Eisenhorn, Death Row, has been enhanced with Alpharius’ blood, and he will reveal himself as Alpharius while the actual Alpharius lurks in the shadows, in case of Alpharius being targeted by either or both Imperial and Chaos forces when he tries to rebind the Legion together?
The real question is it possible it is the top snake himself? We know he can diminish his size and primarch aura. If anybody is brave enough to write a twist like that it's Dan abnett
@@Scott90314 It's entirely possible, but it's also possible that he'll pretend that that Alpharius is the actual Alpharius while the actual Alpharius is off Alphariusing elsewhere.

It should be alpharius no? I'm confused xD
The alpha legion has strong motifs around the number 3. 3 headed hydra, 3 diamonds, the third way, etc. The joke about alpharius being turned into triplets seems a bit far fetched to me, but it could be true in a different way. The alpha legion is broken into pieces with different allegiances. Loyalist, chaos, and independant. Black, white, and grey. Thesis, antithesis, synthesis. Alpharius, Omegon, Alphagon? Perhaps to unite a divided legion, the primarch will have to recover and unite the parts of himself.

Personally id like to see the Legion become hated by Choas but untrusted by the Imperium but accepted
Bro please please please do end and the Death vol 2
I like to belive that the whole "I am alpharius" thing is the équivalent of "I'm Ryan Gosling" in the 40k universe
I don't think you'd see Omegon come back and say "I am Alpharius."
Rather
"I am Solomon", no questions about the blood on my spear please.
45 min video nice ill put it play to sleep . thankss love long format video
Ayyyy glad you like it! I also used to fall asleep to lore videos XD
Ngl but that laughing scene on whats suppose to be "tradition" scream quite lefty.
Then again, video was great...abbadon 2.0 aside of a new guy getting everything from resource, supports, equipment (possible) and scoffs at the traditions of heresy alpha legion.
But its also a fun Jab at the meme of "I am alpharius"
Listen bloodletting a necessary thing for organizations…
So im a bit confused on the naming. To my understanding, alpharius is the one found on earth, omegon is the alien spear one found later. From what you stated in this and the other video(third path) you say the alien one died on pluto. So if the alien one, omegon, died on pluto, why do u refer the escrador one as “omegon-turned -alpharius”? Sorry if this is a dumb questions just a bit confused. To my knowledge, “Pluto Alpharius” is omegon, and “Escrador Alpharius” is Alpharius.
Some space marine : i am alpharius
Traitor alpha legionaire : take your meds
Loyal alpha legionaire : take my meds
Actual alpharius : SERBIA SERBIA SERBIA !
Lets freakin GOOOOOO! Awesome video btw. Learning more about the legion because of your book suggestions so I'm loving the content 💪
Pardon me if you answered this before, but why do you keeo saying it's "Omegon" that is alive, and not Alpharius when we know the first found twin was Alpharius and that is the alive one? Is it just bc he went my Omegon during the end of the GC and the HH?
Post 15m rant 🤡
Imagine trying to shoehorn politics into a neckbeard hobby of collecting overpriced plastic toy soldiers
Typical Marxist
That's the state of some writers, unfortunately.
@@AnonymousAnonposter I disagree. imho it's confirmation bias and projection for your own political thoughts. Why'd you even read anything from a writer that's not a book?
The wish for evil and rotten empires to implode is a part of literature since we invented writing, and the only reason an American (as no other nation shoehorns it into politics) would label it as 'leftist' is either willful blindness to your long list of war crimes for the sake of profit; or fully knowing the extent and being complicit.
Wishing death to America is the moral duty of every thinking man 🙃
I got carried away, my apologies. Not everything is politics, nobody cares about your politics, and your politicians don't care about you at all.
Let's not poison every hobby with it. Shall we?
Politics?? In _my_ Warhammer 40k!? 😮
I really like how you know about Low Tier God 😂
You luetin majorkill and arch are the lore gods of 40k lore.
According to The Horus Heresy Book Three Extermination from Forge World, Ghost Legion was a name given by some within the early Great Crusade era Imperium to Astartes conducting covert operations later attributed to the Alpha Legion.
What if the marine who said he was Alpharius was THE Alpharius
0:37 we just gone ingore that god tier art
i find it weird that the leftists alpha legion oc is so concerned about genetic purity
Thanks for this. Even my friends into Warhammer aren’t into Alpha Legion lore and I’m the only one who read most of their books. It’s good to hear this and see different view and filling in gaps I missed.
I thought that Lord Arkos is still alive and were taken by the Dark Angels?
You may be Alpharius but I am Omagan and not the one killed on Pluto.
Lots of amazing ideas with the Alpha Legion sub factions in 40k
Unfortunately I don't believe black library authors will do anything
There is so much amazing lore to be written and bl authors / gw are simply not going there
GW doesn't seem to have an interest in consistent lore, good quality books anymore
Abnetts books are only decent books going and they are limited
I can't wait for the chaos space marine codex to come out to see how the alpha legion plays.
Thanks for making videos on the alpha legion, they are some of the most interesting faction in 40k
Dude I got put in the ward for my anxiety, and my job is threatening to fire me.
Things aren't great rn.
Thank you for making great vids though 🤍🖤
HOLY SHIT DUDE I HOPE YOURE OK 😭 I’m glad I could help take your mind off things!
Wait…. I subscribed .. so that means I am the I am the Alpharius .. 🥸
If Cipher did turn out to be Alpharius that would make the "Not Yet" quote make so much more sense
Why do keep saying matter of factly that th Orginal Alpharius is the one who died when the general opinion and to my knowledge the only real evidence we have is that it was Omegon named Alpharius who died and the Orginal one survived?
More Hydra!!!! Let’s goooo
28:45 …..more paranoid….you forgot that one.
1:50 It's fine if you don't understand the Alpha Legion all that well. To best understand them is to admit you don't understand them.
Take your politics away from fiction please ffs.
Have you learned nothing? Everything you know is a front.
I play Dark Angels and people love to say they're secretly traitors. Some play Alpha Legion and say they're secretly Loyal. I say they're both Alpha Legion, that the Lion is Alpharius and Alpharius is Omegon. I base this on literally nothing.
3:53 he's talking about John Grammatical
Excellent video. I love the thoroughness of your content.
I think having them splintered suits GW’s narrative interests at present. That keeps you guessing what a specific group of Alpha Legion marines in a story are really up to.
We need a book where there’s a civil war or about a planet in which one side is being supported with traitors and one with loyalist be it Space Marine or Imperial Guard or just a book about Omegon coming back into the future
Solomon is Omegon . Ok I can’t back that up
So is it the first found or last found that we think still lives
I read that same book 14 years ago. How time flies. I really could’ve done a 40k channel before 99% of people today.
I wonder how that might have been…
My response to the Omegon video was:
It's an hour long?
HELL YEAH! LET'S GO!
I am a very strange person.
I am Omegon.
When do betarious and ultrious show up?
@@Scott90314 At this Point Eisenhorn could be 100% be in support of a "loyalist" Alpha Legion. I mean the Imperium thinks HE is a heretic as well.
Anyone complaining about long videos stfu. Long videos are the best. Please do more.
For anyone who is complaining, RUclips shorts are that way 👉
I am not Alpharius
Ooooh yes you are
Imagine a civil war that you don't even know who's loyal to your cause and you shoot anyone because of you're paranoia.
I really liked the video! I'm personally pretty hyped by the idea of an alpha civil war and the primarch return! (plus I've just seen your video about the alpha légion yesterday so it a perfect timing to dive in it xD)
Thought I have a interrogation since you believe it is the first primarque who have potentially survive (and I believe to) why are you calling him omegron? It should be alpharius no? I'm confused xD
45 min nice I only watchnlong format videos . Playing on repeat also at night helping me sleep nice work man
The alpha legion has strong motifs around the number 3. 3 headed hydra, 3 diamonds, the third way, etc.
Perhaps to unite a divided legion, the primarch will have to recover and unite the parts of himself.
harrowmaster was such a fun book, love how you described how everyone goes 'oh here we go again' when one of the faceless announces themselves as alpharius
